Hi all,

Just another quickie from me. I am so tired!! My mum went home today (about time!! hee hee ;)) so we can finally really get on with our packing and crap. I have packing material everywhere like. Our apartment is far too small for us to be living with boxes and bubble wraps, honestly!!!

Ozstock, I am so sorry to hear about your recent BFN. I send you my hugs. Of course you are welcome here, anything you need to know, say, just ask!!! Re your Q though, I have never heard of the appraoch you mentioned but I am intrigued.... if you can let us know bit more about it that would be great.

Deanne, congrats on arrival of little James. I am over the moon for you and your hubby!!

Bel, glad to hear that everything is going well with your pregnancy. My sis was telling me how devastated she is with food restrictions... I think she might lose weight instead of gaining weight???

Jo, yeah, I think we have chosen a good time to move to UK as well,,, I was in UK once in May and that was truly wonderful. BUT! I hate this packing business and the excitement/worry nearing to the actual date. How I am going to survive next two weeks heaven only knows!! You would not believe, we have already sold our TV and that got picked up yesterday. So I am without TV for next 2 weeks minimum AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! I was just getting stuck into American Idol 5 on Fox too .

Cheers, Tiger

Hi Ozstock - Welcome to the site....I'm glad you found us. I'm sorry about your recent cycle - most of us here have been there, so we know how you must be feeling and are all here for you if you need a 'chat'.

I'm in Sydney also - I'm going through Sydney IVF - where are you going for tmt?

I have read Francesca Naish's book and have a friend who went to the Jocelyn Centre, through she didn't have any fertility issues, so I'm not sure why. She is pregnant with her 2nd child now. That is the only person I know who has been there.

I think if you and DH want to try that route, you should. IVF can be a very emotional and physically draining process, and of course a financial burden too. If you and DH have the patience to go through natural methods for a while, then you might find that less invasive.

Good luck with whatever decision you make...and keep in touch & let us know!

Bella.

Hi guys,

Welcome to Ozstock!!. Sorry to hear about your recent IVF outcome, is all terribly suckful at times (is there really such a word??). I too have read Francesca Naish's book and found it all very useful, though didn't lead to success for us. I'm sorry, I haven't heard of the Sydney based natural fertility services you describe but figure it would be worth a good look. All the best!!

Tiger, NO TELE!!!!!..OMG!!!!..I too would be a little distressed at the thought. Glad that the packing is progressing, you guys must have stacks to do..and do you know there is a new saying about "new home leading to a new baby", so you just never know your luck in old London town. Could work out really well, bubs would have dual citizenship (maybe Japanese as well??)..I have it all worked out!!

Bella, do you test this week??..God you've been calm about it all. Are you getting excited / nervous etc etc??

We're all well here, Johnie is at home with a gastro bug (hope he doesn't share it with me!!) and Annie is asleep (god bless her cotton socks!!)

Take care all
Belinda

Tiger/Bel...

Yep...testing on Friday. I am so nervous. I have been off work (this is my third week), and just keep thinking how much I don't want to go back, especially if it's a BFN. It seems every time I take Crinone, I get really depressed. It says a 'very common side effect' is "A feeling of sadness & unworthiness" - that's the one that seems to hit me each time.

I don't feel any pregnancy symptoms really, sometimes I think I am, but then I put it down to gas or something else. I guess I just don't know what 'pregnant' feels like....

I really don't know what I'll do if it's BFN. After all the eggs that were harvested, there was only 1 good enough for freezing, so that reduces our odds a little.

Am trying to keep up PMA, but it's hard.....

Bel - good luck with gastro boy....I would hate to catch that!

Firstly, a big THANK YOU to everyone for making me feel welcome and your words of encouragement. Sometimes I feel like I'm doing okay and other times it really hits me. So it means a lot to me to know that I'm not the only one going through this rollercoaster ride.

Just to answer a few questions...

The Jocelyn Centre is a naturopathic fertility clinic set up in Sydney by Francesca Naish. I think Bella said she had a friend who went through there- they are also nathuropaths and not only help with conception but also maintaining health throughout pregnancy etc. If anyone is interested, their website is http://www.fertility.com.au/. My biggest issues in going down this path is that they advocate 4 months of preconception care (looking after health, taking herbs, abstaining from alcohol, caffeine etc. for both partners) before trying to conceive. It's also quite costly (in the range of $3,000) and not a lot back via Medicare/private health funds. Anyway, I am in the process of setting up a free half-hour meeting to learn more about it and then I can pass on more info then if others are interested.

To answer Bella's Q, I am going through IVF Australia at St. George Hospital with Professor Chapman. I've heard that Sydney IVF is very good, but on the expensive side relative to other places. They also seem fairly progressive in their approach e.g. going to blastocyst stage. So best of luck to you. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Not sure if this is helpful or not, but I found a couple of websites that outline early pregnancy symptoms (found them during my 2WW):
http://www.americanpregnancy.org/gettin ... ptoms.html
http://tcm.health-info.org/Pregnancy/early-signs.htm

Bear in mind that some women have lots of symptoms and others have none. With my first pregnancy, I didn't realise I was pregnant until I was about 6-7 weeks and my hubbie reminded me my periods hadn't come for a while. Whereas I have another girlfriend who is about 5-6 weeks pregnant now and is sick as a dog.

Once again, thanks for making me feel welcome.

P.S. I think 'suckful' is a great word and very appropriate!

Hi everyone!

We just got back from our appointment with our Dr. We are going to try a HRT frozen cycle next time. He thinks I also might have a low grade bacterial infection, so I will also be treated with antibiotics prior to transfer. We are going to do the HRT cycle as he feels my uterus lining might not be perfect without the hormone therapy. We are happy that he wants to try something different. We will start the next cyle in a couple of weeks.

Hi MissMolly - you are sounding really positive, it is great news that the dr is looking at an alternative for your FET and that they have learnt from your experience.

Bella-S - fingers crossed for the 17th - only 2 more sleeps!

Ozstock - welcome the the Aussie and Kiwi thread - we are a slowly but steadily growing group, all at different stages and with different experiences - the group is very is very supportive and I am glad you have found us!

Bel - hope Johnnie is feeling brighter and that you and Annie are ok - I can remember having gastro when Grace was a baby and breastfeeding while I had a bucket in the other hand ...ugh

Tiger - what are you doing reading posts - shouldn't you be packing????

Thanks Tiger - I saw your other post. I am over the moon! And I really can't believe it yet. My clinic has stopped my progesterone, saying the pregnancy will take over now. Is this what other clinics do?

Hiya,

BIG MOVE DAY tomorrow. We are flying out to UK this Saturday at 1pm and arrive on the same day at 4pm? Figure that one out!!!!! I am really losing my mind over this move. So difficult!! How relocating to Japan was easy compared to this - AGH!

Hammy has gone to his new home too, we miss him terribly.

Take care, sorry no time to read up on the posts but MissMolly, I am so happy to see you there. You are my inspiration!

Cheers, Tiger

Hi Bel,

arrived UK yesterday... watched Commonwealth Games summary show on BBC - missing Melbourne like hell. Checked out couple of flats to rent, hopefully we can decide by end of this week... don't think I would enjoy living in a hotel for too long.

Hope all is well for everyone. Cheers, Tiger
