Just read the letter in thats life magazine that sarah brown mentioned some people really dont have a clue got so mad have just sat and wrote a reply to the magazine lets hope it gets published cos the woman who wrote the letter really doesnt have a clue and quite obviously doesnt have children or a maternal bone in her body love ang

Hi Angela, Just read your thread about this stupid woman who made a very bold and stupid statement in That's Life magazine and it has got me so mad too!! Can you please let me know what edition the magazine was so that I can write in aswell? I think the more people who write in to explain that she is talking out of her backside, they might put a spread in about infertility and how it does actually make us feel. Sorry, will get off my soapbox in a minute, but these people should be shot!!!! Lots of love, Jo xx

Hi jo, Totally agree with you and yes the more people write in the better will type the letter out for you this women wrote ok here goes this is what she said word for word. The cost of a child why do some people suffer stress and spend so much money on trying to have a child ? it doesnt always happen for the best. why not let nature take its course? there may be good reasons why some women cant concieve and children dont always bring happiness. sheila lewis. thats the letter in thats life issue 29 date of issue 24th july. lets hope loads of us write in and that the mag does a piece on infertility the mag has an e-mail address thatslife.readers@bauer.co.uk

Thanks, Angela! I have pen poised already, trying to find enough A4 paper to put down ALL my feelings in one huge letter!! Bloody cheek, I can't believe some people, especially women, can be so callous and insensitive! Do they honestly think we go through all this pain, both physically and mentally, cos we actually enjoy it? Try being in our shoes for a day, I'd like to see how they'd cope. First day on this site & cant believe how powerful it is!! Only mentioned article in passing-it made me so mad at the time, i thinks its fab that so many of you are going to write in...... I will send Thats Life an EMail from work tomorrow......I cant believe this excuse for a woman can say children dont always bring happiness & why waste money etc. There are a lot of women & men who have so much love to give a child but unfortuantly through no fault of their own cannot have children. If spending money & being stressed results in these wonderful people(me included!!) then I think money well spent. I mean (hope I dont offend anyone out there) some people dont think twice about spending a fortune on cigarettes, alcohol, designer clothes, flash cars, so why not spend it on the gift of life-priceless if you ask me. You reap what you sow, its not the children who bring unhappiness-they only mirror their parents so I think this women must be a bitter witch(time to get off my soap box!!) Gonna have a glass of wine to calm down(have not started sniffing etc yet so hope this is allowed) Best wishes & good luck to everyone, whatever stage you are at.....

Thats better. Have just fired off my EMAIL to THATS LIFE MAG. Hope lots of you do the same. I titled mine Men are from MArs, Women are from Venus and Sheila Lewis is definitely from another Planet!! Feel better for that. Its nice sometimes to get things off your chest in a positive manor... Hope everyone is well Sarah xx
