I have posted a few threads before, but since I am not actually having a procedure (IUI or IVF) performed anytime soon, I decided to try and meet some new friends on this thread.
Anyway I am 28 my DH is 29, ttc 4 years. I already have one child...she is nine. I have been going to an infertility nut-job for 3 1/2 years. I started realizing he wasn't the best doctor for my situation when I came in for my injection and he asked me if I needed a refull on birth control. Anyway I thought I had an IUI perform in July, but I went to an appointment at a highly recommended feritlity clinic yesterday and I found out my cervics is completely closed.
This was discouraging and truly wonderful all at the same time. I say that because before this happened my infertility was always unexplained. That drove me crazy...every test and operation that had been performed never gave me the needed information. It just couldn't be explained! I felt like sticking my head in the tiolet bowl. Well finally after the visit yesterday, I now know the cause of my infertility and it is a simple 15 minute procedure needed to fix the cause! I am so HAPPY
But (there is always a BUT) I am pissed of because I also found out that there would have been no way my previous nut case doctor performed an IUI, because I cervics isn't open! Which means I paid for something that could not have been done. Fortunately for me, I had a laparascopy done in 2003 and once I receive the hospital notes on that procedure, I will found out whether or not my cervics was closed then as well. If it was, I will be filing a complaint and lawsuit against my doctor. I know that someone could do something so horrible when someone is at their most vulnerable state, is shocking! Anyway on to brighter things...I will be having my operation 2 days into my next cycle and hopefully I will be pregnant soon after.
Has anyone ever heard if my case of infertility. And for all the women who have unexplained infertility, please ASK your doctor to check and make sure your cervics is open!
