has anyone else read anything about this? teletext this morning reads about louise brown (first ivf baby) who s celebrating her 25th birthday at bourne hall today. Then it briefly talks about how scientists are saying in 10 years time there will be no reason why everybody cant be a parent!
I know thats 10 years away but obviously technology is advancing all the time, so hang in there girls, even if our dream is 10 years away!!!!!!!!

kathryn
x
Hi Kathyrn,

It would be wonderful if everyone could be guaranteed to be parents, this should give us all hope. Even a better success rate would be great, maybe we could get that in the next 5 years.

How are you this morning? Only a week to go hang in there!

Love Lynne

Hi Kathryn

I haven't read teletext but i got the daily mirror today and in there is an article about artificial sperm and eggs by 2013. It says that infertile couples could be able to have children using artificial sperm and eggs in 10yrs, scientists atthe cutting edge of fertility research think it is only a matter of time before the technique is used to rebuild sperm and egg cells. there is a lot more info on it but basically it ends saying there is no reason that further research should not mean even more improvement in the future.

Lets hope they can hurry up the research!!!!!
Jackie
