First IVF on NHS

Hi, I am new to this forum, and would like to introduce myself, I am 40 next month and DH is 51 in June. We have been married 17 years and I had a natural ectopic approx 15years ago, and my tube had totally disintigrated, I found out 2 years ago my other was totally blocked. We have started our NHS funded IVF, and I am currently on my 11th day of downregs, and I return for my next scan on the 29th. I have just had my first night sweat last night, and wonder how others feel on downregs?
I am also a bit worried about having a high FHS, it is 17.5, I was told 10 is normal, I mentioned that upto starting the IVF I was on hormone tablets and was told this could have been the cause for it being so high.
I am also waiting for my AF to start, could my bursaline injections cause me to be late? as I am 3 days late now.

Hi Mitzy

Welcome. When I first down regged I also had sweats and horrendous mood swings. I think I was a day or two late for AF but when it did come it came from Hell!!! so be prepared. I think because everything is shutting down ready for the "stimming" part you have a good clear out.

Hello Mitzy. I, too got night sweats with Lupron. My period was a couple days late - but it was very light. However I had some break through bleeding when I first started Lupron shots (I was also on a cycle of birth control pills). When i reported the break through bleeding to my doctor's office, they told me to expect a very light period, or even no period at all. So I guess everyone is different. Good luck to you!!
