hiya all cycle buddies
On our last attempt I was sniffing but this time on Buserelin injections. Also taking Metformin for PCOS. Are any of you on both of these? I feel absolutely knackered this time. I know I was tired last time but I look like a walking zombie some days. Someone has nicked my va va voom...... I am now on day 10 of buserelin. Going for scan on Wednesday so hopefully will start Menogon Friday'ish.
Good luck to all
luv
Bertie x

Hi all - it feels so good to be able to share my thoughts with others. Although DH is great, everyone on this site seems to know exactly how I feel and I don't think I'm going mad anymore!

Sharon - We're not sure about how many embies will be put back. We've recently changed clinics and they are quite keen on blastocyst transfers (if you get enough embies). Will see how the cycle goes and if it doesn't go to blastocyst, we will then ask about putting three back. Are you going to try assisted hatching again - no one has ever suggested this to us?

Ella - lots of PMA, its such a worry at each stage of the cycle its a wonder we go back for more!

Cazzy - hope your'e feeling better. Any questions, just ask,I'm sure between us we will have an answer.

Bertie - I'm injecting Buserelin and usually get hot flushes which are really not needed in this hot weather.

Fi - thanks for starting this thread - can feel its going to be of great help especially if we get to the 2ww.

Keep up the PMA everyone

Love
Gill
xxx

anyone know about suprecur drug (sniffing one instead of synarel) i am scheduled to have bleed with it but wondering if that is a sure thing??!!

HOWS EVERYONE DOING????

Love Fi
XX
Hi Fi

I'm injecting with Buserelin and they advised me that it can delay AF arriving but if it was later than one week to let them know. As it happens AF arrived only a day late so my first scan is now booked for Wednesday. Not sure about the sniffing drug (i've never used it) but its all supposed to do the same thing so you might be delayed a bit.

Hope everyone is ok!

Love Gill
xx
hi fi

i have synarel and suprecur they do the same thing but I had to sniff
suprecur 4 times a day and synarel only twice a day. however i did find that i was a lot more emotional on suprecur than the synarel.
The clinic told me that they have stopped making synarel so that was why i had to use suprecur.

well good luck with your tmt

from july ann
been in tmt for 4 years.Male factor. Have had 3 icsi, one ivf with donor sperm.Went for fet with 7 eggs but none made it to blastocyst. just had 5 DI. test date 27 july
Hi Fi,

We haven't spoken before only posted a couple of times. I am due to start injections on Friday with EC around the 8th Aug if all goes well, this is my first IVF at Dundee. Would love to join the Aug cycling buddies for moral support.

Good luck everyone with your treatment.

Love Lynne
Hiya everyone
Loads of PMA to us all - I have wrote this on my kitchen wall so its the first thing I see in a morning when I make my green tea!

Gilly - we have scan Wednesday (2mrw) also. Are you gonna be injecting Menogon? We get our lesson for this - not looking forward to it - DH is nervous as he says its easy to inject me with the autoinjector as he doesnt see the needle go in.

Bertie x

Hi Everyone,

Feeling really fed up and sorry for myself today. AF was supposed to arrive last Wednesday, but still hasn't appeared so I can't start my first IVF cycle yet. I wish it would just arrive so that I can start the whole process.

Why is it that this whole fertility process, whatever treatment we're having, depends totally on the whole WAITING GAME!! As if it wasn't stressful enough without having to wait for everything! We really do end up wishing our whole lives away .....

Oh well, I'm sure it will be here soon.

Hope you're all doing better than me!!!!!

Love

Jo
xx
Hi everyone,

I went for my blood test today to see if my nose spray has been working, I was getting worried yesterday as AF still hadn't arrived and as you all know that would have meant delaying injections until next week.(Seems like a lot of you are having the same problem)

Bertie: I am also on Metformin, have been for about 2 years. Good idea - writing PMA in kitchen I too am going to do that!!!!

Gilly: Yes we are going to have assisted hatching again - it cost a little extra but we will try anything. (its meant to help embryos hatch out of their 'shell' enabling them to implant) Its not offered to everyone - some women especially older women have hard 'shells' Im only 28 but it was offered to us as we had had 2 failed attempts (now 3!) Maybe you should ask about it at your clinic.

Anyway I start injecting tomorrow (yipee!!!!) and then my 1st scan to check the folicles is next wednesday.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE KEEP SMILING!!!!!!!!!!!

Sharon G XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Hi everyone!
I will be joining you. Am on a FET again (using up my last 6 frozen) and went for a pre-stim scan today. All well so have just started the 6 tablets a day. Go back next week for Day 8 scan and the ET is on 6th Aug, with testing on 22nd. Am excited and terrified - want to be pregnant but dreading it if I am in case it goes wrong again. Not even thinking about if it doesn't work and I have to have full IVF.

I am going to need some serious hand-holding this time round!!

Take care.
Michelle
Hello ladies,
Just been for my scan and am starting stims today. The first check on the follies will be next Tuesday.

Bertie - They've given me Gonal F this time round but it does come with an autoinjector so DH didn't have to worry too much.

Jo - Keep strong! How strange are we - every other month we don't want AF to arrive and now we can't wait for it to start (it's a wonder we stay sane).

Sharon - I will ask about assisted hatching and if there's any reason I've not been offered it.

Michelle - Remember that PMA and don't even think about it not working.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Thinking of you all

Gill
xxx

Hi Everyone - how are you all doing?

Gill - Thanks for your msg. Still feeling really down - had a bad crying day today, one of those when you start, you can't stop. AF still hasn't appeared and it is really getting to me.

You're so right, we never want it to come, now I pray that it does - the female logic is a very strange thing !!!!!!

The thing is, we've waited for such a long time before we finally decided to start IVF (failed IUIs, clomid etc.) and the drugs are all sitting on the side and in the fridge looking at me - AND I CAN'T START USING THEM YET !!! Not at all excited about having to inject and very apprehensive how the drugs will make me feel as this is my first attempt at IVF, but I still can't wait to start all the same!

Thanks again, I will try and keep strong and will TRY and be a bit more patient - yeah right !!!

Good luck to everyone - thinking of you all.

Lots of love,

Jo
xx
