Waiting for 1st scan

Hi!

sue - fab news that you saw the heartbeat - it's amazing isn't it! The due date is a weird system. Even though they know exactly when "conception" happened, there is a uniform way for everyone to work out the due date, which is from lmp. That means generally they add on 2 weeks from your ET. Mental when you know there is no way that could be right, but there goes! Anyway, I'm sure due dates change completely as the pregnancy goes on! I hope so, cause mines Friday 13th October!!!

Tracii- did I miss you got a bfp? Or have I just had a "senior" moment? If I haven't congratulated you - then I'm sorry. I'm over the moon for you! Good luck with the scan!!!!!

Mind if I join you? I had a scan today (at 5 weeks). There are TWO little beanies in there!! I just couldn't stop crying

1 is a lot smaller than the other though so we'll need to wait and see. The next scan is at 7 weeks and we're hoping to see hearbeat(s) then. My gyn gave me a due date of 22.11.

Cla - how are you doing? When is your next scan?

Tracii - good luck for Friday! I also have no symptoms. Unfortunately spotting (sometime brown, sometimes red - sorry if TMI) is all I've got. My gyn said all I can do is take it easy. DH is ordering me to rest on the sofa most days after work. He's such a sweetie - and he even cooked last night

Sue - CONGRATULATIONS on seeing the heartbeat!! You take it easy and relax.

Mel - I know what you mean about the time going slowly. Our +ve was only a week ago... Good luck for next Thursday!

Lola - good luck with your FET!

Kristi - good luck for next Monday - not too long to wait now!

Lucky you on such an early scan!!!! And 2 beanies!!! Fantastic!
Me, I need to make a widwife app. for this/next week to find out next step. As I've already had 2 scans, my gp said they'd wait a while to do another, but I'll see what the midwife says!!! Will be 11 weeks this Friday - it's dragging in some respects but flying in others!!!

Sue & Mel - so we all had the same ET date. I'm with both of you. I had it calculated at November 11. Interesting that your doc gave you a week earlier than that. I'll let you know what mine says on Monday. I want to get that ticker going too!

Cla - I tested +++ after a nightmare of a cycle...only 1 embie but he/she is sticking around! I wasn't on the board for a while because the cycle was going so poorly (22 days of stimming)...but good things happen to those who wait

Eminde - Wow!! 2 little beans!!! How awesome! Take it easy and keep rubbing the belly.

Sue and Kristi - Thank you for the well wishes

I probably won't be on tomorrow (travelling back to Munich) but will let you know how Friday goes.

Hi everyone - hope you don't mind if I join this thread....I didn't realise there was a first scan thread, and am so happy there is!!!!

My first scan isn't until 7th April, which seems so late compared to everyone else (I had BFP on 17th March). and it's so worrying until you have that scan & hear that heartbeat......

Eminde - congrats on your 2 little beans! How exciting! Are you feeling sick at the moment or anything?

Sue-e - I posted on another thread also, but congrats again with your good news scan!!!

Tracii - good luck for Friday.

Oh how exciting! Hello to all the latest scanners. Its hard not to be filled with hope when your on this forum, why I love visiting it, DP thinks Ive become a bit of an internet freak.

Eminde - Heck thats fantastic!!! Wow! Did I get the short straw with the scan wait! will be almost four weeks since test date to scan! Agggooooniiiisng.

Good luck everyone else with the first scans. Its really lovely too to see the "bean" and "bubble" references. I sing quite often to my little "beanie" too, as am rubbing my stomach. DP wondering what hes let himself in for!!

Tracii - was so fantastic to see your story. The IVF journey is a hellish nightmare which ever way you cut it, but wow, if ever there was an inspirational miracle story yours has to be it!! You already know your bean is super baby survivor!! I have good feeling my bout beanie down there too, as s/he not only survived a good old freezing and defrost, the specialist even dropped the catheter on the surgery floor on transfer day! This one is meant to be surely.

Cant wait to hear all the good news on the way for all of you and upcoming scans.

Hope all is progressing well and time is not going too slowly!!!! (as if)

I am fine and have configured my ticker as i can't remember how far gone i am. My mind is getting scrambled trying to remember all the dates etc, etc
