Thank you for the input, CC. I guess I will be moving over to the 3rd tri thread as I will be 28 weeks tomorrow. I can't believe it!

KC, so sorry for not getting back to you. Between my classes and work I have been absolutely crazy! My classes are over at the end of April, and I can't wait :D :D I'm sure it will be here before I know it, but right now it sounds like it's forever away. Let me know how you're doing!

Best of luck to all of you 2nd tri bumps! Look forward to seeing you in the 3rd tri! Take care all of you and I will check in from time to time :) :)

I'm leaving you all, too!

I have had a great time on the 2nd trimester board, thanks for everybody's updates and stories. You have all made me feel less neurotic at several points during this journey.

Good luck to you all and we'll see you in the 3rd trimester!

Hi Everyone

Sorry I've not posted for ages. Things seem to be ticking along nicely (although I'm always still so wary about saying that!). Saw the consultant last week. Baby looks fine. Perfect size for age etc. I've developed a small cyst on my left ovary and the midwife has put me on iron tablets. Neither of which is a big deal (so they tell me).

Other than that, I'm growing extremely rapidly, but still waiting to feel baby move. I'm 17wks 2days so I know it could still be a while yet.

Glad to see all the other successful ac's here, and hello to all the newies. Anyway, that's it for now. Say hi to all those bumps from me!

hi guys
been away last week , relaxing in Cyprus and passing the time....
beginning to show now and it seems to grow day by day (!), did my first visit to a fab little boutique today called "luscious lola" in a place called Beaconsfield , which was worth a visit , just for a couple of feel good , designer bits - just had to!
still constipated , sorry tmi, but it has been the same for the last 4 months and i am kind of looking forward to having body back to normal after birth.
read a really "nice" book at weekend by Jamie Olivers wife Jools about fertility treatment , pregnancy and new borns , really got me in the spirit , just looking towards the 20wk scan now to see beanie again and make sure all A-OK. lovely to see someones scan and glad all is going well for everyone, we sure are a quiet thread, but as always i think , no news is good news... anybody got any more updates on how they are doing?

Hi ladies

nice to hear from you Mandy and Lav, glad things are going well....

We had 17 week scan Tuesday, all is well, and sweetie is huge showing 17+5 and wiggling like mad. I love my doppler, I can hear sweetie every night for a few seconds before I go to bed, I have very sweet dreams then :D and it helps dh to feel more involved I think, now he wants it as a mobile ring-tone  8)

We are going to the University clinic for the 20 week scan, so I hope they will be able to see what "make" sweetie is...I am also having a glucose tolerance test to screen for pg diabetes, seems to be routine in germany for ladies with bigger babies...any of you had that?????

Otherwise suffering terribly from food fads, don't fancy anything. I had a reall craving for lasagne so bought the stuff and made a wonderful construction yesterday, had one moutful and NO YUK - dh will have lasagne til the weekend

Naughty me went into the expensive poshy maternity clothes shop this morning, bought 2 trousers and 2 tops, they are super though and for once lovely and long (I am 5'10") unlike the cheaper stuff which does "ride up" or fall down!

What are you lot doing about knickers??? As bump grows, under bump ones fall down, and over bump ones are uncomfortable, and cut in the legs, plus they all give you a terrible panty line (I guess Angelina Jolie has maternity strings or something - cow 8) ) but who will look at my bum anyway??? Any ideas???? thinking ahead to Srping and summer whern I want to look like a preggy babe not an old preggy fart

hugs to all of us

Hi Chrissy

I still feel sick too  different from the beginning, but I have no apetite although I get hungry I don't fancy anything to eat atall. Surviving on boiled eggs with soldiers ( ), fruit salad plain yoghurt and lime or grapefruit juice. Can't face meat, fish or cheese so I eat baked beans (NOT yummy like heinz, yukky German version), and a protein supplement and baby porridge (Dr's idea)! It's so sad as I was such a foodie, I love food, going out for Sunday lunch etc but forget it now!

Still at least I am getting my figure back! my bump is getting nice and big, and the rest of me is "normalising" back to pre hormone treatment proportions so that's good. I was a size 18 ( having been a 10-12 for most of my life) and now I am buying maternity stuff for size 14. Have lost 5kg (not deliberate I assure you).

At least I have more energy now until late afternoon when I fall over. I am very weepy though, we wanted to go swimming Sunday and tipped up to find we were too late to be allowed in - I just burst into tears and cried for half an hour  poor dh

hope you are all doing well girls, do pop in and say how you are..

my next scan is on the 21st along with the maternal diabetes test.

big hugs

Hey guys.

Doing well here too. I'm still on the Diclectin, but for the most part not throwing up anymore!

Big J, its interesting, because the same is true for me. The bump is getting really big, but the rest of my body is starting to return to pre-hormone size - thank goodness. I'm glad I have height, it hides the weight gains/losses a little better than if I was short. I'd be happy to return to a size 10-12 after this is all done, and be able to wear the clothes in my closet.

I packed up a bunch of pre-pregnancy stuff yesterday to make some room for the mat clothes I have. Its awesome - I haven't had to buy that much, as a few friends of mine have lent me some of theirs.

Its March break here this week, and my body has been taking advantage of the down time and sneaking in lots of naps. I'm finally getting some of the energy and desire back to clean my house - thank goodness, things were getting pretty slack around here.

We're all getting to the half way point - yeah!!

Chrissy, do you know which hospital you're delivering in? Maybe we'll be there together.

Denise dont show off with height , always said i needed height for pregnancy to look good and unfortunaltey i am 5,3,,! and i seem to be growing everyday! all tummy area though thank goodness.
finally went maternity clothes shopping yesterday and by far the best was Top Shop, all they do is take the seasons key items they are selling and sell them as a maternity item with hidden buttons and elastic pockets etc.. good prices and really clever ideas. good luck girls and were are indeed getting towards the half way mark. wow!
LOL.

Hi girls

hey Denise - how tall are you??? I am 5'10" and was always a size 10-12 before all this hormone treatment and HRT which took me up to a size 16+  , hoping to get back there one day, have all my glad rags filling up wardrobes, refuse to give them away!!!

Mandy - we have H&M over here which is also for young trendies, I look much trendier than normal in my maternity cargo trousers!! trouble is I am already on my next size as they don't grow with you really as you change shape. problem is my boobs have become Melons  (dh can look not touch!!) so a 90D in german sizes from a 75B start (UK 36B) so non-of the tops fit, even the smocky ones. Will have to buy more expensive ones (online bellybutton or something) but much more frumpy. Have found a fantastic make of trousers, quite dear, Christoff, but think they are just German, they have very long bodies and no buttons or pouchy bits (which cut in when you sit down) and "grow with you" they are fab.

Anyone else got a knicker problem????

hugs

Jules

Big J, I'm half an inch shorter than you. What was your last belly measurement? I find alot of the standard pants ride up like flood pants when the belly starts to take over. I guess when this baby thing is over you and I will be in the race to be back into our own clothes!

I went yesterday and confirmed my prenatal classes - I'm doing them in April, early, but not so early if we happen to get surprised early by the babies.

Mom came over yesterday to help with wallpaper stripping - I've slowed down considerably already so any help is welcome!

Anyways, hope you all are well.

Hey guys. Just looking at my ticker - almost 20 wks, almost half way done!

Part of me really wants to slow down and enjoy this, the other part would love to be able to get out of bed without having to roll!

2 more weeks and I start with my obstetrician - hopefully another u/s coming soon.

felt baby move for the 1st time this week and now it doesnt seem to keep still, strangest feeling like a nervous tummy in the wrong place! oh but the relief of the feeling! anyone else ?
have the u/s booked for 10th april and unfortunatley they think i have gall stones or a gall bladder problem so am booked in for an u/s on that the same day......... bit miserable but not harming the baby in any way.

Hi everyone - Have not been around for a while due to me being away. I hope all you mums are doing well and your bellies are not hurting too much! I also hope your not putting on as much weight as I have!!! I am 5ft 4 and was 52kgs now at 18 weeks I am 75kg!!!!!!!

Some of you may be aware that one of my twin girls had severe Tricuspid Regurgitation which was worsening over the weeks. The last scan I had was at 14 weeks and it was getting quite severe. This stressed me and my DH so much because they were talking about the very high possibilty of Downs with this condition amongst other health problems for her. We were told there was a very slim possibility that this could get better as she developed but it was highly improbable

Anyway....

Had a scan today (18wks 3 Days) and can you believe the condition has completely GONE!!!! What a miracle :) We are so happy and my little girls are fine and healthy - We even saw one of them yawning :)

I am so happy I just wanted to share this news...

Love Jen :)
