Take it easy and look after yourself - believe me it's all worth it
just wanted to wish you luck and relaxation over next couple of weeks - I was thinking if you went into labour mid-interview - that might be no bad thing - think how dedicated you'd look!
Time really seems to have flown by the last few weeks - can't believe you've only got 9 days left! Anyway Good Luck. Love Vicky

Hi Vicky, Lil P and Olivia - thanks for finding time to drop in. Vicky - yes I would look committed wouldn't I and at least if I get any hard questions I can come over all funny and need a drink (gives me thinking time) ! Olivia - know what you mean about things stopping, it's so confusing to read whats happening inside - the only difference for me today is my dog will not leave my side - he even refused his much-loved walk on order to sit with me so maybe he knows more than I do?! Lil P - life sounds delicious for you, can't wait to join you in that elusive club - it feels like a dream still at the moment
love to all

Thanks Jaymee - can't come quick enough now - I want to know that everything's okay and I'd love to be 'on the other side'! Won't be long now for you either.
Hi everyone else - quick update from me. Am plagued by horrendous itching and reduced baby movements now so like Jacs I've been in hospital for monitoring too. Seems it's quite common at this stage - they don't like to take any chances. Anyway, things are fine for me too, no evidence of liver problems (itching) and baby was moving I just couldn't feel it because they're such small movements now cos no space. However, one thing to worry about - my baby is 'on the big side' which I'm really worried about. My big problem is the stomach is bigger than the head so surely there's a risk that the baby will get stuck? Isn't the head meant to be the biggest bit? Has anyone got any advice re this as I'm in a bit of a panic about it.

Sorry you've been having baby movement problems. It's such a worry and nice to have reassurance from the monitoring that everything is ok.
My big baby problem is the opposite of yours, he is generally big all over but his head is worst. My growth scan yesterday estimated his weight is already 9lbs 11!!! and they are still happy let things carry on and see if I go into labour naturally. I am terrified.
Have you had a GTT test to check for diabetes as sometimes that can cause a large abdomen. I'm sure the midwife will have thought of that and you are just having a big, healthy baby. I have been reading DH's obstetric textbook and babies getting stuck is really rare especially if they know the baby is big in advance so try not to worry. Everyone says scans at this stage aren't that accurate so we may both have 6lb babies yet.
Lets hope its time soon for you, me and jacs as we all seen to be having a bit of a rough ride. Hope your itching settles down.

Jacs - yes prickly heat is exactly the same sort of feeling but this is slightly more intense. It's amazing how 'painful' itching can be - it made me cry last night because it was so bad and I'm now covered in deep red scratch weals where I've managed to take my skin off! Glad your pain eases a little in mornings - have you got tens machine or anything to start using now - it might really help? Hope things start up for us both soon.
Olivia - bless you, thanks for reassurance - they haven't mentioned diabetes cos my urine tests have been fine but I wish they would test just incase cos it feels weird for the abdominal circumference to be so big. At least your little man is all in proportion and he sounds really healthy and bouncy. Mine's gonna be a bit odd with a little head and then a big melon of a stomach! Try not to worry - I was reassured talking to friends yesterday and one had a 9lb13, another a 9lb12 babies without even petrhidine and were fine! Another friend had an 11lb something boy but they did ennd up giving her a C-section when they realised how big he was - all fine and healthy though. I'm sure they'll do whats best for both of you. Hope it happens quickly for all of us.
Thanks for message Denise - I hope there's some news soon - can't take much more of this anxiety!

Cheryl,
You poor dear you must be going mad by now.
Hang in there you are so close. I am sure your baby is fine.
My doc told me that the scans are not an accurate way to determine weight and so on because it's all done by use of some table that has been drawn up to estimate it. Every baby grows differently so I don't see how the table can be used at all but whatever, they need some kind of guesstimate I suppose. If they hadn't said anything about the circum of the adomen before I wouldn't worry now. I know easier said than done.
Take Care hon.
