BFN

Post by Sweetness »

Hi ladies,

Well to those of you who knew my blood test was today, I just thought I would let you know the results. I got a BFN, but I was not surprised, I dont have any answeres to my questions yet, as to why but my dh and I have an apt. on Friday to talk to one of my doctors to get some answers and and to figure out what our next step will be. Thanks to all of you who have given me encouragement these past 2 weeks, it was really a blessing. I'm very out of sorts and very tired, I don't have the energy to be sociable right now. Hope everyone is having a good day.

I'm so sorry for your news today. Take as much time as you need to grieve - it truly is an awful time, and you need to let yourself cry, scream, whatever you need. You will get stronger, and your day will come, I promise. It just seems so far away right now, but it will happen. We are all here for a chat or cyber hugs if you need. Take care hun...

Bella.

Sweetness,

I'm so sorry to hear of your BFN. Please take some time to be kind to yourself. I got a BFN on my first IVF cycle last month and it hit me in waves -- but time really does heal the wounds (as did, for me, some indulgent hot baths, facials, beauty treatments, etc.) The ladies on this board are an amazing source of support. What helped me also was coming up with a game plan for how we would proceed. Even just phoning the clinic to schedule a follow up consultation helped me feel back in control. Hope you and DH can spend some quality time together this weekend -- perhaps escaping to the movies, taking long walks, and going out to dinner. Take good care and sending cyber hugs your way.

xx sml

Sweetness...I am so so sorry for your news. Reading your post brings me back to my BFN...seems like it was yesterday now. I totally understand how you are feeling. Mad, sad, defeated, and then mad again!! The worst part is I felt like I let my DH down - kept apologizing over and over again to him. I felt like a failure. But this is all normal and I guess something we have to go thru that eventually makes us stronger.
Take time to grieve and hopefully this will bring you and DH closer together.
I will be praying for you that you'll find peace thru this mess. Don't give up! Somehow God has this all worked out already... we just can't see it yet.

Love,
Allison

Sweetness - my heart goes out to you during this difficult time. Take care of yourself and your dh. Many, many people who are unsuccessful on their first IVF go on to success in later cycles. I know it is too early to be thinking of that - but don't give up hope! We are here for you!

Ladies~

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers, it is truley overwhelming to know how you all care for each other. I'm in a dark place right now, I don't want to email, read the news talk to family nothing...I want to just be left alone, this is not like me, but I have never gone through this before either. I'm a Christian and I know Jesus will see us through this darkness. My dh is fine, but I'm not..he has been very supportive and kind. We have a follow up consultation with our doctor on Monday, maybe she can enlighten us as to what to do next and why she thinks this time it did not work. I'm sure having only one embryo had a lot to do with it, anyway, it might be a few days before I post again I just dont have it in me right now to chat. Thanks again ladies you all are truley a blessing.
