Hi all,
i was hoping to get bsome answers on how long the HCG horomone stays in your body after the HCG shot? I took the HCG shot on 3/11 it has been 13 days since then, I took a HPT that came out ++++++. I am very cousious and don't knoe if I should believe it. Could it still be the drugs? Am I relly pregnant? If anyone knows please respond to this e-mail it would really help me relax. Thank you!

I had a hcg shot on my 1st attempt on the day of ET and did a hpt test 14 days after that on instructions from my clinic. Mine showed a true positive. I cant remember what doseage it was though, but I'd of thought your result should be accurate. (dont quote me on that though)
Good luck, Hope its a true result

The HCG shot is definitely gone after 13 days. My doctor told me 2 days but 5 days at the worst after the shot has been given. I tested on my first 2 IVF's after 10 days and both times I was right when I got a +.
Congratulations. When's your official test?

We are on the same schedule: trigger shot on 3/11. (Mine was an IVF cycle. Trigger was 10,000 units Novarel). I took an hpt this morning at 5am (could'nt sleep) and it was a faint positive. Since it's faint it could be the leftover trigger. So I am cautiously optimistic about it.
Lisa my blood test is on 3/27. I can hardly wait. One more day to go!
I am hoping that you guys are right and that it the real thing.
Ganfan-Please stay positive. I hope for both of us that the tests are right. Whae is your blood test?
Thank you all for responding! You have let me relax a little from worrying about the test.
Hope everyone is well!

Was your embryos screened using PGD? If so that's fantastic. It means that your BFP will stick around and is extremely unlikely to miscarry. Wow lucky you. Enjoy every minute darling, you're BFP for sure.
