Hi scanners! today went well...saw the sac and everything is progressing 'normally'. Next scan for heartbeat is 6.April. Something which is making me a bit nervous...my HCG levels are pretty high (double time = 32 hours), and today at 21DPO = 8,699.43! Doc doesn't seem concerned but I have to worry about something -don't I?
Traci - that's excellent news! Congratulations!!! You're h/b scan is the day before mine (although probably be around the same time given the time difference). It is soooo long away......

I'm curious.... what symptoms is everyone experiencing? I read through all the old posts on this thread, and there seem to be a lot of commonalities with the pre-scanners.
Cramps - I haven't felt cramps really at all. I kinda feel like I have period pain sometimes, and it's scary. It feels like I'm about to have a very heavy period (sorry tmi). Does anyone else feel this?
Sore breasts - I have that, and usually embarrassingly feel them all day long to make sure they are still sore!
Nausea - I haven't really felt nauseous at all. I sometimes have felt like I just ate a big creamy pasta, but haven't been sick at all. I wish I was, I would feel better about it all!!!
Anything else? Would love to know so maybe I can feel normal, and feel like everything is OK even when I don't feel 'anything'...
Bella.

Anyone else going completely crazy!! 4.5 days left for me! Am feeling nervous but hopeful. Will have another blood test tomorrow to make sure everything is on track, which will be some reassurance I guess. Just over the last few days through I have been having sharp shooting pains, I hope its nothing to worry about, every twinge sends me into silent panic.
Sue are you sure on the EDD of Nov 3 day that they gave you? If calculating from last menstrual period they should still add on 2 weeks to the conception date, (280 days from LMP and 266 days from est conception date) and both a friends midwife and several online calcs put me at Nov 11th. I guess it doesnt matter overall does it?
Tracii - It looks like your hcg levels are very strong and climbing really well, which is a really GOOD sign (yahooo!!!) the clinic sent me some charts of estimated strong / medium / and weaker climbing hcg levels, and I checked your numbers which were smack bang on the strong curve! So its all looking great I would say!
Tell us how it goes Kristie!

Mel P - They gave me Nov 3rd because my LMP was 29th Jan, i had an umdeicated cycle so for me they go back to that. In that month i ovulated late, so that's why the date varies. I have set my ticker for how old 'bubble' is and added 2 weeks. I think bubble was 2 days when i had ET, so i added the 2 on as well. (how confusing) Just over 3 days now, not long, wishing you all the best
Bella - don't worry about what symptoms your having compared to others as they will always vary. I don't even have sore boobs, but do feel sick in the morning and have been sick a few times after tea in te evening, some heartburn, other than that not much. Hardly have any of the aches and pains. No matter what your symptoms you will always worry, even though i have seen bubbles heartbeat, i still worry and think that all is over but my body wont let go and thats why i am still having the symptoms. Mad, yes i know, but thats what this journey does to you. I think once i have a big bump then i can relax a little. wishing you all the best
Kristi - good luck for tomorrow, let us know how you get on.

Thanks everyone! I'm excited for tomorrow. I'll let you know.
As for my symptons. I don't have cramps or sore boobs. But for 1 week now I'm had major morning sickness that lasts all day long. I'm following all the tips I read online like eating small meals every 2 hours, including during the night when I wake up sick, eating crackers in bed in the AM before sitting up, etc. I didn't realize this is what nausuea was like. I'm also dead tired and sleep and sleep and sleep.
I think everyone's symptons are different, but it is interesting to read how it affects everyone. I'm still not complaining, even though I feel horrible all day, every day. I'm happy to be pregnant!!!!

Hey Krista - how did it go! We are all waiting to hear
Sue, how cool that you managed to start a ticker, after my scan on Thur, will be picking your brains on how the heck to set them up. Ill need the ABC 123 step by step guide!
bella - that made me chuckle! I spent the first couple of weeks walking around squeezing my boobs too ... ! I lost sleep over lack of sore boobs and no sickness, and then when I did start getting sick, I was sure it was coz of something I had eaten not because I was pregnant! Have sore boobs now, but quite typically they are not much bigger (rats). (As a quick aside, are you based in OZ? I am in Welly, NZ, nice to be on the same thread as an almost neightbour! I was checking the Aussie thread, and saw that some people were paying IVF private, I thought in OZ people could have as many public funded cycles as they liked... is that just a croc?)
Finally my latest mini worry is that I have been getting some shooting pains and then just tonight getting lower pack pain, I am desperatly googling away to see if the backpain is Okay but cant find anything. Have any of you guys had this?

TWINS!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh! If you've seen any of my other posts I mentioned after my beta that my hcg was high and now during those 2 weeks I've just had this gut feeling that it was more than one. Sure enough, twins! I'm 7 weeks 2 days today. Both had strong heartbeats. Both measured good. The good news is that I don't have to wait another 6 weeks for my next scan like some of you, but obviously I'm going back sooner because I'm "high risk" (which in itself gives me more cause to worry). I go back in 1 week, then again 3 weeks after that. I remember Eminde goes back 2 weeks after her first scan (for twins), so this must be normal.
I feel so blessed I'm speechless!!

Kristi - double congratulations! Know exactly how you feel!! It seems an age ago since my last scan although it wasn't even a week ago and I must wait over a week til the next one. You'd think I'd learn a bit of patience with IVF but apparently not
Sue - is your sickness getting any better? I bet it felt good to get that ticker going!
bella - still over a week for you too! I've still not got any symptoms but since before the weekend the bleeding and spotting have stopped so I've got no reason to worry hopefully. No sore boobs or sickness either. Maybe it'll spring up on me later...
Traci - we scan on the same day! Glad last Friday's scan went well.
Mel - I did get a few of the shooting pains you mentioned (they were more like AF twinges but not constant) but since about a week I've had no more pains. Good luck for Thursday!!!!
Cla - glad you got a scan tomorrow. Hope it goes well

Kristi - what fabulous news!!!!! How many embies did you have transferred?? I have heard of people that have had 1 embie transferred & the egg split & are pregnant with twins. I am secretly hoping that will be me - but I will be happy with 1 healthy bean. Well done!!!
Mel - Kiwi friend!!!! I have now been able to refrain from groping myself at work, which is a relief as they would think I had gone mad. Still waiting to feel sick - I feel sick sometimes, but I want a good spew!
In Aus, everyone pretty much goes private (I think there are only a couple of public places with huuuuge waiting lists). Our Gov. health covers some of the IVF costs, but not all....around 60% I think. But they don't cover some things at all, like ICSI (which costs 2,000) or any of the drugs. You can have as many cycles in a year, which they were trying to limit last year. I think you generally end up about $1,500 - $3,000 out of pocket, depending on your clinic.
Eminde - I can't believe this wait. It is awful..... And I keep thinking that when I see the heartbeat, I will feel better & more confident. But I bet I wont...I will worry about something else. I think it wont end until some time in November when I finally give birth to my little Munchkin!
Sue - many thanks for keeping such a good list! Looks like we will hopefully get some more buddys coming across!

Hey Bella. I had 3 "grade A" embryos transferred in. The doctor said that the medical association of something or another recommends only transferring 2. But we took the chance and transferred 3 hoping it would increase the odds of getting pregnant. I never thought I'd get more than one. What a shock. And blessing.
The nurse looked at me dead in the eyes and said "Kristi, you now have an increased risk of EVERYTHING". Gee, that gives me more to worry about!
2 more days before Mel's scan!!!
