Beck, Wow 33 - you've been busy! If you drink lots of water you should be ok. I don't know a lot about PCOS - is is usual for someone who has it to produce lots of follicles? I was a bit disappointed only having 6 - but I am hoping some of the tiddlers will get their skates on before next week. I am still waiting for the hospital to call with me EC date. You're right - all of a sudden it seems very real. Hope you have a fantastic weekend and the best of luck on Monday. Are you going to go to work the day after EC or are you taking a couple of days off? Take care Love Dolly

Hi Dolly, I wouldn't be surprised if some of your smaller follies grow quite a bit over the weekend. Even if not, quality not quantity eh? Lots of the girls on here have had six or far fewer and still got pregnant! Yeah, PCOS usually means lots of follies I think, because the cysts of polycystic ovaries are unripe follicles, which don't mature enough to release an egg and go down, but grow to a certain point then stop, then another one appears and so on. So even when down-regged I have lots of small follies waiting to grow. The 33 may not all contain decent eggs. I'm going to play it by ear next week and see how I feel. If they get more than 20 eggs out they're going to monitor me daily, but if I feel well I'll go to work to stop myself obsessing (yeah, right - I can think of nothing else!) You have a great weekend too, and stay calm. Will report back after EC - hopefully you'll have had yours then too. Alison - hope the ET went smoothly! What a nice Friday surprise! And Dawn - I think buying a baby book is a great idea - got any faves yet?! Beck x

Hiya girls, having a bit of a paranoid day today, after being so positive etc beforehand, I suppose it has to kick in some time! Alison, wonderful news re ET, I think being thrown in at the deep end is sometimes the best way, and at least it got you out of your nightmare day - fate!!! Kat, I am a bit like you and can't quite believe the 2ww has already started, but started it has, so we're off!!! Hope everyone else is good, looking forward to this weekend, it is our 7th wedding anniversary, so we are off to The Ivy for lunch on Sunday - very excited, and if I don't spot a star I will be gutted!! Will be back soon, D x

Just to let you know that e/t went fine. They had to defrost 5 (of the 7) and got thre, two of which looked good and one a bit iffy (on my 5th go I'm prepared to take the risk of having 3 put back!) So now I too am on the 2ww. Found time to buy myself a trashy novel for lounging with over the w/e, and decided to take a day off on Monday (as I'm feeling a bit cheated about not having had to take a day or two off!) Becky - sorry, in my excitement didn't read your post - all sounds good and good luck for Monday. And Kat, glad your embie's nicely snuggled in! Have a great weekend everyone. Dawn, enjoy the Ivy - its my Mum and Dad's wedding anniversary on Sunday too - 35 years! Let's hope 7s a lucky number for you. Love to all Alison x

hello girls! too sore to log on yesterday. Ive logged on this morning and loads has happened! Was despearate to know if kats little embie was ok, like everyone says, it only takes one and its a top quality embie!! I hope its all nice and cutched up in your tum kat. Is this your first go at ivf kat? relieved to hear that things went ok for you too alison. my god 3 as well! could be a triplet case. my clinic wont put 3 back in. Dawn, why not buy a baby name book! like you say, youll need it one day, hopefully in 9 months time! have a lovely time at the ivy tomorrow wont you and congratulations on your wedding anniversary. dont forget your autograph book!! becky, wow, 33 follies! I had 34 biggies apparently and I too am at risk of ohss but they still did et yesterday and I feel tons better than I did last time when I had 52 follies. I was so ill last time and was so scared that it was going to happen again but apart from being extremely tender and my whole torso in pain, I feel great cos Im not nauseas and I havent been sick!..........im so chuffed with that!!. They may well whip you in earlier for ec. Dolly, dont you worry about your 6, they still have a chance for a growth spurt and anyway, it only takes 1, (WONT it kat!) was wondering about you Jo, glad everything went well for you, lets hope all our embies are getting all comfy ready for a 9 month stay!!!! sorry this is a long posting, I have a quick question thats bugging me. when the dr did the et, he said he had broken the mucus plug(yuk!) he went on about risk of infection but what Im more worried about is will the little embies fall out? oh and becky, I had a sedation, dh was with me and he said I made myself look a right fool!I kept saying ow,ow,ow,ow,OW,OW,OW,...FUDGE FUDGE FUDGE,.... S**T,S**T,...f**k,f**k and moving my oxygen mask. the dr then asked is your nose itching kathryn, and I replied 'no,but youre hurting my minx!!' But dont worry, I dont remember a thing!! One last thing Id like to share with you (sorry im really going on) dh was staining our outdoor window frames and I said I wish I could help, and he said,...'youre not doing a thing, youre pregnant!' and hes right, such a nice thought, even if does only last 2 weeks! anyway, Ill make it shorter next time, promise! take care everyone, lots of love kathryn x did anyone have a ultra sound scan done whilst they put the embies back in?

Kathryn, what a fab e/c story! I'm afraid I have no idea about mucus plugs! I've no real news to add since yesterday. Feeling really perky this morning, if a little windy (bloomin pessaries!) So, Kathryn, Dawn, Kat, when are you testing? I've been told I can go and have a blood test any day from 28 July, so my 2ww is actually only 10 days (9 days now!) Not that I've ever actually made it to test date, I've always bled 2 or 3 days beforehand, although AFs not actually due until the Tuesday. Becky, Dolly, good luck for e/c next week. And Gem, thanks for your good wishes. Hope you're feeling OK. Love Alison x

Hi all Kathryn, wondered where you were - don't know anything about mucus plugs though it does sound delightful! Have been told embie is quite safe and can't fall out and also when I asked what I should & shouldn't do was told nothing I did would have a positive effect and nothing would have a negative effect. Am still taking it easy this weekend though and will try not to stress when I go back to work (Monday). Don't think I could do 2ww without going back to work - the time will go a lot quicker. I had ultrasound while they were doing ET and they gave me a picture of the scan when the embie was put in. Couldn't watch it on the screen though as eyes were tight shut concentrating on not weeing myself and covering the Dr in it while she was down there. In answer to your question this is my 3rd cycle but the first one that has got as far as EC/ET. First one was abandoned due to poor response and the second I had to cancel because DH broke his neck (fully recovered now, thank God). Testing Friday 1st Aug Speak soon, love Kat xx PS is it me or do those pessaries smell really bad?

Hello! Kathryn, your posting really made me laugh...minx and all!! I bet the doctor found it very entertaining! I also had a untrasound with my et, and she also cleaned away all cervical mucas, so the catheter has a clear path, or something like that! She said it is general practice. Saw the embies on the screen too, wow! Didn't get a picture, but it really hit home, DH loved that bit! Alison, I too can test from 10 days, so can test from next Saturday!!!! SHITE!!!!!!!! May wait longer, if not spotting beforehand, but realistically will probably do it Saturday afternoon (getting nervous about it already!). DH has got the week off next week, so we are going to have days out, going to France for the day, seeing friends in Leeds, so a nice long sit down up there, and will just have meals out and chill, won't be going to any theme parks riding on rollacoasters, just seaside visits etc, can't bare to be at work, am terrible each time I go to the loo at home, let alone at work!! Had hair cut today, so feeling better in myself, but can feel the anxiety, will have to get some more cammomile tea down me to de-stress. Have yourselves wonderful weekends! Lots and hugs D x

Hi Girls I've been feeling a bit stressed after having ET, only had it done on Thursday and I've had back ache ever since so I'm already worrying thinking it's AF pains! DH said not to be so stupid I'm bound to get some sort of pains - I hope he's right! Has anyone else felt any pains?? Well suppose I'll have to wait until the 31st to find out. Kathryn your message made me laugh, I bet the nurses found it quite amusing! I found EC quite painful though, I didn't expect it to be that bad. I shouldn't moan though I haven't had any other probs. Well going for an Italian tonight so I'll put on a few more pounds! Enjoy the rest of your weekends. see you Jo xxx

Hi Jo - I've had an ache a bit like AF pains but I think it's most likely just because I've been poked about so much over the last few days, at least that's what I'm telling myself, and it says in the info from the hosp that you can get pains starting a few days after ET not on the actual day itself. That and the lovely pessaries starting to do their stuff. Lots of love, Kat xx

Kat, blimey what a terrible time you've had with DH breaking his neck. How much stress do a couple need?! Jo, don't worry about the pains - I'm sure its just a side effect of having been poked about and/or the pessaries. I'm desperately trying to think if there's anything remotely interesting that I can tell you, but there isn't - have just been taking it very easy (so much so that dozed off on the sofa yesterday afternoon!)
