Therapist back from vacation today so she calls after all day of crying and telling hubby i'd rather be dead.....afraid to be alone. Going totally insane, sick, he tells her he works all day tomorrow and could we meet in the evening....like it werwe a dinner date. I tell him i'm afraid to be alone....and instead of passing this on and telling her how bad it's been.he casually makes and appt. after trying to hand me the phone hysterically crying. My life is si over. I just want to go to sleep and never wake up....there's a better place somewhere else but it sure as hell isn't here where people tell you they love you and then lie to you! over and over again.

Lisa:

Your life is not over, please do not say that! Your life will get better, with or without your husband. You have the appt. tomorrow evening, so go and see how it is. Can you call a close friend and have her come over to stay with you? If a friend is not available, what about family? You definitely need someone to be with you, if you feel afraid to be alone.

You definitely need to speak to a therapist by yourself. Why don't you call the therapist first thing in the morning to see if she can work you in Monday morning. Tell her that it is an emergency!!!!!

Maybe you should also get an appt. with your family doctor to see if he/she could prescribe an anti-depressant. Those drugs have worked wonders for friends of mine.

If you want to chat live, I have yahoo messenger. My user name is:
tlw328@yahoo.com. If you don't use yahoo messenger, it is easy to download and free. Please send me an instant message. If i'm in bed, I will reply first thing in the morning.

I will be praying for you.
Hugs,
Tammy

Gail:
I'm so sorry that you got a negative. It does not seem fair for your AF to come on Mother's Day. Nothing can prepare us for the negatives. I'm trying not to think about it, but I have not had any early pregnancy signs yet.

You may want to consider the Donor egg route, as Bev suggested. There also is a donor embryo program. I'm not sure how that works in the UK, but in the US it is relatively cheap. You adopt a couples' embryos. You get all of their frozen embryos, so sometimes you can do 2 FET. I looked into the program, but did not qualify, since DH and I have only been married 1.5 years. You had to be married 3 years minimum.

Take care,
Tammy

A quickie from me too, have massive deadline on at work. AF finally arrived Sunday (2 days late). Had baseline scan yesterday - all fine with follies-in-waiting identified. Started GONALf 450 last night. Cetrotide 250 to begin on Wednesday. First scan on 3 April, EC scheduled for 10 April...

Although very busy right now, I read all the posts and my heart and luck and best wishes go out to everyone.

Hi Anna, that's great news re the follies. Any idea of when you may expect to do EC? Looking at the sizes, it may be when we are in Kiev, if so, I will be thinking of you and wishing you loads of luck for a "good harvest" and 100% fertilisation!x

Lisa honey, hope you are feeling a bit stronger after your appt with your therapist. Sending big hugs.x

Love to everyone else too,
Bev xxx

Hello

Just thought I would drop a note to let people know that our attempt (#7)in America resulted in a BFN....sigh

Not too sure where we will go from here. We still have donor blastocysts that are of very good quality to use. However, we also certainly have an implantation problem larger than what we thought. Have already done a Beta Intergrity test, which came back fine.

Has anyone transfered embryo's from another country? One thought was we could transfer them back to Australia.

Keeping my fingers crossed for those of you who are waiting for an outcome - good luck to all.

Hello everyone,

Just got off the plane from Cape Town - didn't see your DH Robyn, although a lot of my party were going via Jo'burg - and haven't slept all night so too tired to get any work done.

So sad to see some of these posts.

Gail - I'm sorry for your neg. I hope you are at least thinking about perhaps trying DE in Kiev, but I understand your issues with going down that route.

Lisa - dear girl, what a nightmare you are having, I'm so sorry. Your DH needs a good talking to by the sounds of it - I can't bear to think of you weeping like that and him being so cold. Please practice self-care and parent yourself through this horrendous time of your life. Talk about kicking them when they're down! I hope the therapy got you somewhere, well done for doing it - please let us know how you are.

Tammy, jolly good luck, enjoy the wait!

Anna, 5 is fab! Keep it up!

Robyn, drag about your egg. I hope you get to try again.

Love to Jo, allette,

- I haven't had a scan yet as I've been away in SA, but the clinic have just rung - they can't fit me in until next week. I don't feel sick or anything like I usually do but who knows what will happen!

All the best, Lara x

Lara:

My fingers are crossed for your scan next week!

This 2ww seems to drag on forever. I don't test until Monday, but I may take a HPT on Sunday.

Tammy

:D Hi girls! Very happy to find this thread - hope there are success stories out there! I am 44 and currently in 2ww after 2nd IVF cycle - 3 embryos transferred 20/3 (we call them tic, tac and toc!) :!: our first cycle last nov wasn't successful and failed at the last minute - even though our embryos were grade 1. Am a bit worried this time that the same will happen although somewhat calmer and more philosophical than last! Any tips on encouraging implantation :?: We live in northern france and I have to say that the docs here are marvellous - a great team after some very bad previous experiences with negative responses from medical personnel regarding my age! My other half is 10 years younger 8) and totally supportive, has also been horrified by some of these insensitive reactions! Because of the cock ups we missed the 'age deadline' and are paying for the whole thing (yikes!) but if it works it'll be worth it. My gyny is treating us for free because of this and managed to get me free sample of some of the medication - Gonal F at 400€ for a 900ui pen lasting 2 days - greatly appreciated! Would love to hear from you and mutual support is a marvellous tool to aid positive thinking. send me good vibes please!!!! BHcg test planned Mon 3rd - and in the meantime am on 400mg of progesterone and baby aspirin every day. Look forward to hearing from you! Big bisous from France, Jules x
Am 44 yrs old, partner 34. trying for a baby since 2001. On 2nd IVF icsi - 3 embryos transferred 1 wk ago, blood test 3 April.

bonjour Jules, welcome, and Good Luck on your 2ww.

I'm 44 in May and have just started my second IVF cycle. Wish my clinic would give me some free samples, it's all so horrendously expensive!

Interesting that you are on baby aspirin - I posted about this a couple of weeks back after reading an interesting - but old - BBC new report. What do your clinic say about it? My clinic don't say anything about it, but I am taking it anyway.

Hi all, my last posting to squeeze in before I depart for Kiev!

Diane, am so sorry to here your attempt failed. You must be devastated - and after all that travelling too. I have heard of embryos being "flown" to other countries, but no direct experience of it. Hope you manage that, as it would assist you with further FET's. Thinking of you and DH and sending big hugs.x

Hi Lara, nice to hear from you. Did you have a good time in Cape Town? Can't remember if it was business or pleasure. I'm still keeping everything crossed for you and your little embies. Good luck with the scan - we're not back till Monday, so will hopefully catch up with your news on Tuesday onwards. Take care honey.

Tammy, good luck to you also for your test date. Will hear your hopefully very good news when we get back.

Hi Jules and welcome. I too am on the more mature side (older than the bloody lot of you - groan) and am just off on an adventure to Kiev. We are going down the donor egg route, as age, time, egg quality are all against us. Again, good luck to you for your test date, and look forward to reading your good news when we get back.

Jo, hope the stimming is going well.

Hi to everyone else, and big hugs to Lisa.

SEE YOU ALL NEXT WEEK - or I might try and pop in if lap-top survives the flight!!
