Hi everyone,

Just an update, I had my ER yesterday (27/3). Not sure how many eggs they retrieved.

Could anyone tell me what the symptoms of OHSS are? My stomach and back were aching really badly, and I was getting sharp pains everytime I moved or breathed hard... It's better today, still painful but bearable. It wasn't like this the last time I had my ER. Is this something to be concerned about?

Hello again!
I am glad to report AF finally arrived on time... yesterday. So today I had my first shot for DR & FSH/E2 test and hopefully tomorrow I will start with gonal + menogon (short protocol). First scan most probably early next week. I am sooooo anxious to get this one going... Luckily for us, the 2ww will coincide with our Easter vacation, so I will have more time to rest.
I keep my fingers crossed for all of you... good luck with ER/ET/hcg tests!

Lisa- I am so excited that your doing your EC on Thursday! I will be thinking of you. The nurse speculated that I will be doing my EC on Sunday or monday. I have 11 left over pregnancy tests from over the years. So after the trigger shot and then the EC and 5 day wait. If I wait 3 more days.. I think I will start using htem up. I have never gotten a positive HPT even when I was pregnant so I have little hope for them to work. But they are taking up a lot of space in my bathroom..!

Rouge - Are you doing EC today?

Lots going on!!!
I heard on the grapevine that Daly and Deidre did sneaky pee stick tests today and got faint lines..... proper tests are today!! Come on ladies!!! Hope its the best news for the both of you!!!! We'll be off to a fantastic start on this thread!!!

Good luck for EC Lisa, Jen, Jamato, Danie hope you all get a bumper crop!

Rouge - with OHSS you get pelvic and abdo pain, bloating, nausea and vomiting, The more serious symptoms are shortness of breath and calf pains and chest pain. See how you go. Make sure you rest and drink plenty of fluids. If you're worried, contact your doctor.

Well, 5 days into the 2ww and it is draggingggggg. Should I do a sneaky test??? If so when should i do it?? I was a good girl last time but....

Hey everyone.

Danielle - you are only a few days behind me for the EC! Thanks for thinking of me - I will be thinking of you too. I really appreciate your support. I had to get a couple of things at the drug store yesterday and I found myself in the aisle with the HPTs so, of course I bought a kit with 2 tests. I will wait and see whether or not I am going to take them when the time comes- I am afraid of getting a false positive. I am charting my temperature too so I think that will be a good indicator.

Hi Allison - thanks for the PMA - I could really use it.

The internet is so good for some things - like finding this site and meeting all of you. But then it is also so bad. I have been scouring the net for info on hydrosalpinx in IVF and the news is not good - it is all negative, negative, negative! I have been forcing myself to stop searching for it b/c it only makes me feel worse. My docs say no big deal - so I am going to focus on that.

Hi to Lola, Wendy, Kelly, Mafalda, Rouge, kelly and everyone else - congrats and good luck on AFs, ERs, Ets, and all that!

Deirdre and Daly - looking forward to BFPs!!!

hi girls

Just to let you know that EC went well today and out of 10 follies they got 8 eggs.

Now the worrying bit until tomorrow morning when they will call and let us know how many have fertilized.

My abdomen is really painful this time and i'm hobbling around like an old woman.

Away to rest, will catch up tomorrow

Hey, it's me again...
would somebody please take me off the list... I don't have the energy to do it myself!
Looks like I was hoping for too much... my E2 was too high today after all so the doctor said it means there is a cyst and he cancelled the cycle... ARRRGH!!!
needless to say I am extremely dissapointed... and sad... and angry (at the forces of nature!)... and desperate... mostly sad.
Next try (if ever we manage to get started!) won't be before 20/5, due to a business trip.
So I hope I can get on the "May-June buddies" but I am not sure which year...!

Sorry I've been out of the thread for a while - have been manic and everytime I look at the messages I panic and realise that I am way out of date with catching up with all the news.....

Mafalda - Sorry to hear your news - thats really annoying - I wanted to kick someone when my last cycle was cancelled part of the way through (I tried to blame it on the Prostrap down reg drug, but I think it was more my temper

). I really hope you can get started again soon x (I have taken you off the list and updated it)

Jen - Fantastic news on the eggs - fingers crossed that they all fertilise!

Lisa - I know what you mean about the internet - my clinic always warns me away from it (especially when I turn up with about 50 questions that I have found with reference to new treatments / strange problems etc).

Lola - Be patient - you can wait - you did it last time

Is 2ww from EC? Or ET? My doctor said they wanted to do Blastocyte transfrers.. I guess thats 5 days past EC.. So would that start my 2ww from then? OH its all so confusing! Im going to start running out for Baby asprin and gatoraid any second! =)

Danielle - my clinic also transfers 5 day blastocysts and count the 2ww from the EC. So your test would be 14 days from EC and 9 days from ET.

I would call your clinic just to make sure. Ask them to give you a calendar - I live by mine!!
