Baby Asprin???

Hi everyone ! I heard that taking 1 baby asprin a day helps the blood flow on your body and it can help with IVF? Is this true? has anyone heard of this?

Mindy,

My clinic has prescribed a baby aspirin, or low dose adult aspirin, to be taken once a day starting with my first shot of Lupron thru my first trimester of pregnancy. It helps with blood flow and there is evidence it helps in implantation.

Hi Lisa, thank you for your reply! If you don't mind me asking what dose is the asprin your doctor recommended? Is it a normal asprin or just 1 baby asprin?

Not 100% sure - but I think it is 81 mg.

Hi Mindy,

My clinic prescribed 81mg aspirin daily...as Lisa noted, it helps with blood flow to the uterus. I have taken the low dose kind since we started IUI back in November. My clinic says to take it every day.

Hi, I took low dose aspirin every day for about 5 days after ET - I didn't take before because I didn't want to increase blood flow during EC. Don't know if it helped but I only did it on my third cycle and my third cycle was successful so it certainly didn't do any harm!

Hi

My consultant advised that if I did ivf again to take an aspirin each day after ET to help implantation. Apparantly new research. Have not tried ivf since this advice so don't know if it helps! That was back in Feb 05.

Hi I am due to start a fresh cycle end of April and my doc wants to put me on 75mg of aspirin from ET right up to 12 weeks (providing I get a BFP)

He told me it helps with the blow flow.

It was interesting to read that Jan was recommended Baby Asprin during IUI as I had not heard of that yet. As I am on day 7 after IUI it is possibly too late to help with this round but I will go out and buy some anyway. Do you have to have baby asprin or is 1/2 an adult one the same.

I am doing my 3rd IVF and always took 81mg (baby asprin), I took Bayer over the counter. My doctor recommend to start taking it first day of shots. Hope I helped.

Hi girls thank you so much! Ok I am not too familiar with the abreviations yet lol but here is my question...you might have answered it already but like I say I am not familiar ......Ok well we are going on our 4th transfer May 16th now should I start taking the baby asprin before or right when I build my liner and go on from there??

Hey Mindy - my doc had me start taking the aspirin the same day I started the Lupron. I think you should start now - but check with your doc to be sure. Good Luck
