Had two embies put back in on Sunday.

Still waiting to know if any of the others are good enough to freeze.

Gave them permission to do so though.
2ww craziness has officially started - got up this morning sure that they were gone and all was over.

Hoping my “intuition” is completely wrong and luckily feeling more positive now.

Besides that I’m OK. Have had much less swelling, nausea and discomfort than last time (had OHSS then).

Hi guys. Well as I said above, I am all set to trigger tonight and go ahead with EC on Thursday. I am not as optimistic as before - but I am trying to take everyone'e advice and stay positive since the docs are positive. I have a tendency to catastrophize things and of course I have been feverishly searching on the net for info on Hydrosalpinx in IVf and it is all bad. I know the net is not good for things like this so I have forced myself to stop. I think that has been more difficult then quitting cigarettes two years ago!

Mlg, sml, Traci, Eminde - thanks for the encouraging words and PMA - they are much appreciated! I am going to take your advice and follow what the docs say. I feel better today, and I suspect I will feel even better tomorrow.

Sml - My dh is not taking his friend's illness very well. He has never been good at dealing with sickness and death (who is?) and this really hits home for him since it is his dearest friend. But we are praying a lot and trying to stay hopeful for him and his family. Plus he is very focused on our IVF and that has been somewhat of a distraction for him it think. So your SIL is visiting - does she know about IVF? And good for you for taking a holiday - sometimes that is the best medicine for everything!

Angela - good for you for staying busy during the 2ww. Hopefully the time will pass quickly and you will get your BFP in no time!

MLG - congrats on ET on sunday! So now you are in the dreaded 2ww as well? I will be in your shoes next week so we can wait together.

Stacy - I remember reading that you were having a bad headache? Hope you are better now and I wanted to let you know that a lot of my friends have told me that headaches are quite common in early pregnancy so you shouldn't be worried.

Hi Danielle - I posted to you on the other thread but I wanted to thank you again for being so supportive of me - it really does help.

Someone asked about gatorade - I think maybe it was Eminde? Anyway - I know is a sports drink that replenishes electrolytes in your body when you are involved in sports or working out. But I am not sure what it does in regards to fertility or IVF. Anyone know? Does it flush out a hydrosalpinx? lol...

I12b - hope you are recovering a doing well. Been thinking about you.

Well ladies, just taking an evening break watching 'Entertainment Tonight' and thought I'd drop a line!

(Note: Mariska Hargitay (Law and Order fame) is one very beautiful pregnant woman! They were showing a photo shoot with her on ET...)

It's so great to see everyone being so positive...it's hard to keep up with all the different stages everyone is at.

Angela: I know what you mean about trying to avoid concentrating on what we're waiting for..! I've really been burying myself in my work this week and the time has been going relatively fast. I will test on Day 15 (usually Day 14, but my clinic isn't open on Sunday, so I go on Monday). AF is due on Friday, so just holding my breath until then.

I12b: ***** slapped you have definitely been!

What's up with all this anyway?? I can't imagine how scared you must have been....especially considering the pain. Hoping things are getting better and that it's only smooth sailing from here on in. Just remember, when little one is about 16 and giving you grief, you can pull this one out of the 'vault' and use it to your advantage (".....and do you realize the kind of pain I was in...but I refused painkillers for YOU...").

MLG: welcome to the wait girl! Sending you lots of PMA and hoping we all can celebrate our BFPs together!!

To all the 'Moms to be'...hope you all are feeling well and healthy.

And to everyone else injecting, collecting, waiting, etc...keep up the positivity! I hear the pitter-patter of little feet in the near future!

And weigh in tomorrow...not so sure about this week...you know, I've decided that bread (and any of it's distant relatives) is the food of the devil. That would include the occasional muffin, french toast, etc. Not so great on the hips!

Hi everyone. I took my trigger shot last night and was surprised at how nauseous I felt. I feel okay today though. I am all set for EC tomorrow.

Just got some bad news - dh's friend took a turn for the worse and they are trying to convince his wife to shut machines off. Very depressing. Things like this really put things in perspective.

Anyway - hope all of you girls on the 2ww are hanging in there.

Danielle - anxious to hear how your scan went today.

Was your trigger shot HCG. On this cycle of IUI my shot of HCG made me feel really sick, altough I wasn't actually sick.

Sorry to hear that your friend is worse. What an awful decision for his wife to have to make. Things like that really make you realise how precious life is.

Scan #2 went well. They said I have 15+ follies over 16mm now and several more up and coming. I haven't gotten the official call yet but its my understanding that I will be doing EC on Sunday or Monday. I will know for sure on Friday.

Lisa! OMG EC Day is here! Im going to PM you.. But I am sooo sooo excited to hear what happends!

I'm back for a third try at ivf with a new re and positive outlook...my new re is awsome and he specializes in women w/elevated fsh, he's pretty aggressive w/his treatments and I was just approved for 3 ivf cycles!!! Although I WILL NOT NEED MORE THAN ONE!!!!!!!

I took my last bcp last night and should start stims Sat. I had my 3 day bw done and a hysterosonogram last month and everything looked great...my fsh at it's highest was 15.4 and now it's 4.6 e2 is 63, nurse says PERFECT!!! I don't know what lowered it, but I've been drinking lots of raspberry leaf tea, eating healthier and I will be starting acupuncture again next week!
My new re said that he didn't agree with most of the protocols that my old re had me doing!!!! I'll be injecting follistim(450) and luveris(75) then adding cetrotide, triggering w/ovidrel 10iu...I feel like a pharmacist!!! anyone else doing similar, would love a cycle buddy

I am doing fine. I went to my ultra sound today and was able to see one little fluttering embryo. The sac was funny shaped but my doc said not to be concerned. At first he thought that it was two but after looking further said it was a single embryo. That has me a little stressed, but what doesn't during this whole process? He also said that there may be another little guy that is hanging out that is not as developed. At this point I just am happy to have made it this far. I will be going back two weeks from today to see if things are progressing properly.

Lisa, No more headaches and lots of tummy aches!

MLG, You always have the cutest little guys! I love seeing what you will come up with next. Any news on the extra embies?

SML, A vacation is always a great idea. I am actually flying to Florida for a week and am hoping to get in a lot of relaxation and have a new outlook on all of the happy little kids running around at Disney.

Danielle, Nothing spices up a docs visit like embarassing a newbie.

Hi Ladies

I need to have a rant and get something off my chest and I knew you girls would understand.

We have just had a really shit 24 hours and everything at work is starting to go wrong. Both DH and I work for a committee and last night at our AGM we came in for loads of unwarrented stick by some really sado members. This has been coming for a really long time and I just feel that I want out now of this job. I was all for handing notice in today but DH won't because if we stay here and get BFP I get maternity pay. If leave and go to new place won't get it. Also can't really apply for new job when know that we could be pregnant very soon. This really is a huge job / baby dilema. Mind you I did say at 1 point that this months wont have worked now as had far too much stress this morning. Just had right argument with 2 of the committee on the phone over lunch time and got myself so upset DH set me upto flat out of the way of the customers so I thought I would get in touch with you all. Guess I am looking for loads of understanding. 1 of the committee last night said well why don't you just leave. He knows about treatment but thinks we should forget about that and just leave here, but that isn't the answer. DH is trying to help but at the end of the day it is his job too we are talking about.
