POOR RESPONSE

Post by Baby Dreams »

Hi Girls

looking for some advice please. Started stimms on 21/03 had my scan on 28/03 and they said I had plenty of follies but they weren't big enought, several ranged from 5mm to 8mm. They have upped the Menopur to 450 and I have another scan tomorrow. Got a few twinges but nothing to jump up and down about.

Has anyone had this happen to them but gone onto e/c. Just really worried at the moment.

thanks
SharonXXX

Hi Sharon
Hope you are OK. I am in the same position as you. I posted a very similar question to yours yesterday. If you read the threads 'no follies from stimming' , 'new year buddies' or 'the over 40 crowd' the last few posts may help. I haven't got to ec yet so can't comment on that but the posts from the other ladies were very encouraging. I think the upshot is that everyone responds slightly differently to the meds. Extending the stimming period or upping the meds seems quite common.
Hang in there! The very best of luck, may those follies grow grow grow!!

Good luck

Hi Sharon

Sorry your having a few worries concerning your stiming. I too had a slow response but the clinic kept me going for 3 weeks...and now I have a beautiful 8 month old son. Hang in there!!!

Hi Sharon

I was on Gonal F for stimming and hadnt produced any follicles after approx 5 days. My dose was more than doubled and although it was slow going I produced a few. Didnt think I would have many eggs by EC, but they managed to get 12 in the end! Some of us can just take a bit longer, but still get the outcome we want.
Good luck!
