Oooooohhh ladies. April's nearly here. And you know what that means, lots of BFPs!!! Yeah!!!!

Now I am getting worried as I am only 5th on the list. Last time it seemed like we never got near testing day. I think I have convinced myself that it has not worked again this time as a protection mechanism to be able to handle the disappointment.

Well fingers crossed for Tammy, Lola , Jan & MLG. Lets hope you bring home the BFP's to start this month off well. A special hello to Jan, my fellow IUI'er. How are you doing? Not working too hard I hope.

Hi girls,

Well i had my ET today and all went well. They put the best 2 embies back in, which are a 7 and 8 cell so we are really pleased.

The downside is the others will not be frozen.

There were 5 embies left but 2(3 cell) never matured enough, 2(4&6cell) stopped developing overnight and the last one (6 cell) has brown spots on it------dying basically but i thought it might just be freckles haha.

I am disappointed about this and the embryologist said she could freeze the 4 and 6 cell embies but freezing on day three is a risk and as they have not developed properly overnight she said there is a high risk of them not thawing and there is a greater risk they would not result in a pregnancy. Basically we could use them next time but would be wasting money and would have a better chance if we did a fresh cycle.
But hey, lets be positive there is not going to be a next time, twins here we come.

Am away to rest and let my embies enjoy being at home now.
Will be testing on the 16th April----------16days to go, nightmare

Jen - remember it only takes one embie to make a baby! Those two are going to be just fine, I know it!

I've just been for my second scan, and my one natural follie's doing just fine. Looks like IUI will be middle of next week. I'm just relieved I'm ovulating again, I stopped for a couple of months after the IVF, but things seem back to normal now.

Roll on April and those BFPs....!!!

Hello Lola, thanks for starting this thread, we all could use this support!! I am the one who like you had an ectopic last ivf... we are both waiting for our BFP on the 4th!! What a coincidence, we really are alike. Good luck to you and everyone here!!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty nervous now and not too positive. Will not succumb to the evil pee sticks - that way lies confusion and mucho hair tearing. All will be revealed in 3 days, ARGH!!!!

Officially I have my EC on Monday, April 3rd so I am changing my test day to the 17th.. I think thats right!

Lets have lots of BFP's!!

I already know that I will be doing HPT's. I have almost enough spare ones to test everyday after my ET. So Just for fun I am going to Use them all up! I am not afraid of false readings and I would like to see if it just stays positive or turns neg then goes positive again. Or something anyway. When I was pregnant with both kids, I never had a positive pregnancy test. So this will be interesting to see. I will post my results everyday so we all get to see it. So don't get all excited or dissapointed until the real blood test!

Lucy C, I am also from Huddersfield and testing the same time as you, are you under De Bono in Halifax? if so I might be bumping into you in Leeds when we go for the ET & EC.

Hi Lucy,

Yes this is my first IVF, and it will be the only one, I had come to terms over the years that we wouldn't be having children, and so having this cycle of IVF was a bit of a bomb shell. I am a big believer in fate and if it is ment to be its ment to be. I supose its my way of copying. I also think when I have been given only a 5% chance of it working, it would be silly of me to keep having loads of attempts.

After all that, I still have my fingers crossed xxx

Hi Mitzy,
I also have tubes blocked on both sides but also have damaged ovaries due to chemotherapy when i was 18yrs old. I also got used to the fact that i wasn't going to have kids due to chemo but years after i had some tests done and ivf was suggested, i had 2 attempts with my own eggs but i was only producing 2 eggs each time and there were no guarantees of producing any eggs each time , so DH and i decided to use donor egg, hoping to give me more of a chance and in aug last year i had 2 transferred and had 5 frozen so this time am hopefully just defrosting 3 and transfering 2, if 2 do not survive the thaw then the other 2 will be defrosted. I'm praying this cycle works this time as i think it is our last one too as money is a massive issue now so unless we rob a bank or win the lottery i'll have to give up the ghost!
