Hi all! I'm new here...from Monroe, NC!

Post by llsoon2brn »

I am battling IF for the 3rd time. We have an adopted dd and we have had two sons bio. But I have been dealing with this for over 10+ years. I have had 9 m/c's...so I've been through it all
Just looking for some moral support, I have an apt with REACH in a month to start a whole new work up! Anyone live near us??

Hi Linda,
I live in Concord, NC& am going to REACH also. They are the best! Which RE are you seeing? I see Dr. Teaff. I have ovarian failure so that means no eggs. We have been on the waiting list for one year for a egg donor & we finally received a donor in Feb. we are hoping to do IVF the end of March, first of April. If you ever need support this is a great site. The girls here are super! When are you going for your consult? Keep me posted. Its great to have someone close by to talk to.

Hi Linda! I am from Elon College, about 5 minutes from Burlington NC and about 30 minutes from Greensboro NC. I will be going to North Carolina Reproductive Center in Cary NC with Doctor Toma.

My problem is I ovulate mostly on my right side and I lost my right tube due to a huge cyst. I do ovulate on my left side and I have a good tube on that side, but my eggs don't seem to mature on the left side. I know that the left tube can pick up the right side egg, but its been over 3 and a half years now with no luck.

So I am moving on with IVF.

I have had 3 lives births, which resulted in death shortly afterwards. I had three girls, Leslie, Sarah and Kristi. They all were born with a nerve and muscle disease called Werdnig Hoffman. I have since remarried and Eddie and I have been trying. We had 1 m/c so far.

I wish you and WendyM, the best of luck on this IVF journey.

Walsh. I love Doctor Toma, is DH giving you the shots or are you giving them to yourself?

He told us today that they will teach DH how to give me my shots.

Listen how many eggs did he tell you he would transfer back?

He told me 2 sometimes they do 3 it just depends I guess.

Best of luck, lets see some BFP's

In Charlotte

Post by dcb35 »

Hi everyone, I live in Charlotte and am going to REACH. I started on my Lupron shots this past weekend, and so far I'm having a hard time coping. It was okay the first couple days but then last night I started to feel very anxious and like I had drank about 5 cups of coffee. I had a hard time working today because of it. I'm just trying to talk myself thru it, but so far it's pretty bad, but I'll live :) I actually think that when I start the stimulation shots it might be better? I can handle being grouchy, but not this anxiety - it's awful. This is my first IVF experience.

dcb35! Wow I am sorry to hear that the Lupron is giving you a hard time. I have anxiety or what you call panic attacks anyways. I hope when I start the Lupron it want have that effect on me. I hope you are feeling much better. Once you see that BFP it will be worth it all.

:D the ataff there is so great..everytime i had to go in to get my blood taking (which was 15 days in a row)the nurse always so warm and cheerfull so that helped alot..it was a long drive for us 2 hours one way..but so worth it for us..dr. toma gave us a great deal on our package cause it was all out of pocket and because dh is in the marine corps..he really gave us a cut rate on it and also had one of the drug company give us the shots because our insurance wouldnt cover those certain meds..i just dont think we would have been able to do that if he wasnt so there for us good luck and keep me posted
