Where do I start?

Post by KeriT »

I am a woman in her early thirties who is very interested in donating her eggs, but have absolutely no idea where to start, who to contact etc.

Can anyone give me any pointers please?

Thanks all

Hey There NickiMark

I've doen a little research and have now been accepted with the RIE - oh yeah, I'm in Edinburgh, Scotland.

What's concerning me is that they only take enough for one recipient - why not take more? From what I see, in the US they take considerably more, why not here too? I'd prefere they helped as many as poss - considering the waiting list. So, was thinkin if there's any way O can go "private" later - would they take more? I must stress, I don't want paid, that's not why I'm thinking this. And I'd rather not travel to the US - bit far away from my suppert network apart from anything else.

So, can you help? Any suggestions. Am nearly 34 so need to get my finger out!

Many Thanks

Keri

Hi

Just wanted to say thank you for thinking of donating your eggs. If only there were more like you.

I think they don't give you such high doses of drugs if you are donating compared to if you were going to use them for treatment yourself so you would not be expected to produce as many eggs.

There are some clinics listed on this site under UK IVF centres (at the left of the screen) and I am sure they would be happy to talk to you about doing more than one cycle.

Good luck
Love

Keri[/Dear Keri,

I am from India (New Delhi) and I`m looking for an egg donor who can help us. I`m not able to have children and the only way my doctor advised me from a donor and surrogate. This is my last chance to have a family. We are a loving couple and I love to have children to complete the family, I have gone through the post and I would be grateful to have a donor egg. Please let me know if you are still available and willing to travel so we can arrange for the best. I will Love to hear from you.

Thank you,
Fiza
