Congrats Sue and Kristi! My scan is tomorrow so I have updated the list:

Eminde - 22nd March / 2 beanies, repeat scan 6 April
Tracii - 24th March / 1 beanie/ heartbeat scan 5th april
KristiA - 27th March /2 beanies, repeat scan 3rd April was great!
Ahart - 29th March/ 3 beanies, repeat scan 5th April
Mel P - 30th March / 1 beanie, heartbeat seen
Bella S - 7th April
Daly - 17th April
Deidre - 17th April

This AM I have had my first big bout of nausea...no throwing up but I felt like I wanted to....I am still exhausted and would like to lie in bed the entire day...but I am taking this all as very good signs and still keeping everything crossed for tomorrow. I have cheated a little bit and am seeing my normal ObGyn tomorrow...if it is bad news I wanted her to deliver it...I made the appointment months ago when my cycle was going really, really poorly so I just kept the appointment. I will see the RE on Thursday and hopefully will be the last time :D

How is everyone else feeling?

Hello all,
Nice to see the growing list!

Welcome Daly and Deidre -The waiting is excrutiating, but worth every moment! Are you guys getting blood checks in the meantime, or just hanging out for the scan?

Kirsti - wonderful to hear all is going well. Did you get the pic? Where too from here? 12 week check up?

Eminde and Kirsti and Ahart- well this means 2 or 3 times the amount of mash potatoes, macaroni cheese and pears for you! (or is this just me!) anyone else feel ill at the thought of anything remotely nutritious like meat or vegetables! Hope you all taking heaps of folic acid (800 mg daily  ) I had the flu too ... maybe this is a preggy thing then. Huh.

Tracii and Ahart- good luck for the next scan! Looking forward to hearing about it.

Sue - guess your waiting until week 12 then? At least you have 2 pics for your photo album! I have photo of the 8 cell embryo and the tiny 7.5 week bubble, its so exciting to think of how things are progressing.

I have told a couple of close family and friends who knew we were trying, but kept it a lot quiter this time too, so will wait until 12 wks. I know its not the done thing mention anything to do with m/c when we are all full of so much PMA! But I was very comforted to hear that the risk is down to 3% by 8 weeks, so we can give ourselves a huge pat on the back!

Bella-s - hope all is well with you. All okay? Only a couple of sleeps to go now.

(ps Ahart - I love YOUR ticker I spent an hour trying go get the BB code from lily pie to work, coz loved their little cabbage babies and pea pods, but it wouldnt work! )
Sorry if missed anyone, but hope your all well.

Hi Guys!

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello! Is fab to see this thread growing - means lots of fantastic bfps!!!
To those still waiting for scans - best of luck. It's worth the wait!!!
To those who've alreadyhad theirs - aren't they just amazing!

We had the nucal fold scan and test recently at 12 weeks. I CANNOT believe the difference in the scans - goes from a "blob" to a baby in a few weeks! DVD of the scan arrived this morning apparently so am itching to dash home from work to watch it!

Someone mentioned about flu - I read that you're immune system is quite low at this point and therefore you can be succeptable (spelling?!) to coughs and colds. Also runny noses are v.common! I've had a cold on and off but it seems to come and go?! Have been using a bowl of hot water to steam it out of system as this is au-natrel!

As to when to tell, I asked the same question over on the "pregnant" side. Got v.mixed response. Some said immediately and some said they waited until 12weeks. We told close family and friends at first and after the nuchal fold started to tell everyone else (although I haven't broken the news to my business partner yet - am a woos!!). I think it's just a personal thing.

Anyway - must dash - just wanted to say hi!

Cla
xx
PS - Baby-gaga.com has some FABBO tickers but I can't get them to work. Anyone familiar with these ones? Any ideas how to get it to work?!

Sue, I just noticed when I copied the list of us scanners on my last post that your name was off...sorry!...I must not have copied it up high enough and it cut you off the top. My babies were the same size as yours yesterday. 15.5mm and the other was slightly smaller at 14.5. I was glad they were only 1mm apart because last week they were 2.7mm apart, but even then the doctor said that was fine.

I kept the procedure a secret, but as of yesterday after 2 positive ultrasounds I told the world, including work. I figured I was 8 weeks 3 days and 2 ultrasounds looked good, so I spread the word. I originally intended to wait until 12 weeks, but found it too difficult to wait another month.

I don't know what I was thinking when I posted that message this AM. I just looked at my scan pictures from yesterday and the babies are bigger than I said. One is 16.4mm and other is 17.5.

Mel, to answer your question, they want me to have another scan in 2-3 weeks with my regular doctor (since the clinic discharged me yesterday). So that would be between weeks 10-11. I'll be excited to see them looking like actual babies like Cla said she experienced at 12 weeks. Everytime they give me scan pictures to take home I make them give me doubles...I figure I have to do 2 separate baby books now instead of just one. :)

Hi Ladies....well this weekend I had some pink/brownish discharge and it kind of scared me and DH so we called the doctor....I also had some cramping....My RE informed me to stay off my feet as much as possible and to call him back if the cramps and bleeding become unbearable..he also changed my appt to 4/3 instead of tomorrow..spotting stopped shortly afterwards and periodically throughout the day I had the brownish discharge....well we saw 2 out of 3 heartbeats..however the RE stated that Baby C's sac had grown since the last visit and that he/she may not make it because we saw some blood around the sac...no heartbeat.....Baby A and C's hearts were beating about the same and the RE said that everything looked good...He also informed us that if Baby C does not make it, it will abort itself and I may experience some cramping and bleeding within a few weeks....Caring more than 1 baby is really tiring and I feel so starved everytime I wake up or about 2 hours after I've eaten...I'm constantly hungry/sick with nausea and vomiting/and gas....haahahaha...my poor DH

I pray that we all get better for those who have OHSS and morning sickness

Ahart - seeing blood is so scary - even though we're told it is not all that unusual. I hope that little baby hangs on. Reading through these message boards you learn that truly miraculous things can happen. I hope you feel better soon!

Ahart...how scary. I'll continue to pray for your 3rd baby. It sounds like a tough couple of days for you.

Everytime I read your posts I feel better about how I'm feeling. I don't want to complain at all, because I wouldn't trade this for not being pregnant. I feel miserable all the time. I have to eat constantly, at least every 2 hours...I'm neauseus constantly....and now I started throwing up as well. Oh, and diahrrea every day.

Anyway, take it easy (not that your body will let you do otherwise I bet) and we'll keep praying for your 3rd baby, as well as the other 2.

Hi everyone - have fallen off the face of the planet for the last few days. Went away for the weekend, and then work has been flat out. Still hasn't made the wait for my first scan any easier!!!

Ahart - I was so sorry to read about your scare over the weekend. I hope it's all OK, and the little one holds on. You must be feeling so terrible with the worry & then all the other physical things you are going through. I hope you are giving yourself lots of time off your feet.

It's so great to see so many heartbeats seen, and the new comers waiting for their scans (I'm not the last now!!!). I have felt a little sick, but really only every now and again. Nothing constant, and nothing I can definitely say "oh wow...that's morning sickness". I just can't wait til Friday - when I see the heartbeat, I will at least know that everything is OK & I might just be one of the 'lucky ones' that doesn't get too sick...

Sue - DH & I told everyone as soon as we knew. Everyone knew we were going through IVF, and we couldn't have handled it any other way. The highs and lows you go through would be even more difficult if we had to keep it a secret. My friend fell pregnant naturally a year ago, and they told everyone as soon as they did the test with the GP - at 5 weeks. She summed it up well - if she didn't have a glass of wine at 1 BBQ we wouldn't think anything of it, but after the 2nd or 3rd, we would start to get suss!!

Hi everyone, just adding Sue back on the list again (hope I've done it right...)

Bella - good luck for Friday! I told close friends and family after the BFP and first scan (just couldn't keep the good news in  ) and will tell everyone else after Thursday's heartbeat scan.

Kritsti - pregnancy certainly does do strange things to us... My sickness has now started which I'm so glad about as it reminds me of the pregnancy (as if I need reminding  ). Congratulations on your scan!!

Ahart - I do know what you are going through with the spotting and bleeding. I had it during the 2ww and afterwards, although it has stopped now since over a week. Try not to worry. Amazing that you have seen 2 heartbeats! I keep my fingers crossed for little Baby C. Take care and put your feet up as much as is possible.

Cla - wow - a DVD of the scan; that's so cool!

Mel P - thanks for the statistic on the m/c issue. That's really helped my PMA!

Tracii - good luck for Friday :) :)

Sue - great news on the scan and not too long to wait until the next one either! You must be feeling so relaxed now :)

Deirdre - great to see you on this list!

Daly - I know what you mean about the waiting. My gyn offered me an US before tomorrow but I thought I'd wait as it is more likely to see heartbeats then. And like you said, it would be more stress! It is DH's birthday today but he told me he's far more excited about tomorrow's scan :D

Eminde xx

Thanks Eminde, for putting me back!!!!

Ahart - Hoping all turns out well for you both. great news on seeing 2 heartbeats, though, you must be excited, hoping baby c's heartbeat is seen on your next one.

Cla- Did you cry when you watched your DVD? It's amazing the technology now, enjoy your baby.

Eminde & Tracii - Wishing you all the best for your scans tomorrow

Kristi - I forgive you for knocking me off!!!! Your little ones are good sizes, mine is a short a*** like me! Not long for your next scan, that should be a good one.

Bella - Hope you had a good weekend and work slows down a little now so you can get lots of rest. Only 2 days until that scan, how exciting.

Deidre & Daly- How are things with you both? Managing to keep
occuppied?

Mel p - I also had problems getting one of those tickers to work from lilliepie, still aint got a clue what was the problem. Do you still have blood tests while waiting for your scan? Is your next one 12 weeks? I can't wait for that one to get everything out in the open.

all the best

Hi scanners - For me it went prefecty today, the baby's growth is right on target at 6w5d and heartbeat is over 100 (doc said 'well over 100'). It is so amazing to see the heart on the scan! I almost cried - but didn't. I am going back to see my ObGyn on Monday before she goes on holiday.

M/S has kicked in for me...no throwing up...but pretty close...it hits between 5am-7am - rice crackers are saving me! I will write more personals later...I am going to lie down for a bit.

Ladies, here's a tip if you haven't already heard this. On Monday the doctor told me to try the wristbands for nausea. I believe there are different name brands, the one I found at the local pharmacy was called Sea Band. They work! I've been wearing them for 24 hours and went from feeling miserable to feeling "ok". It made a big difference for me.
