HPT negative????-any ideas....

Hi! I have been going through IVF and transfered 2 embies on 5th day (blasts). Today is 11 days after transfer. I had a bad flu with the fever 100F few days ago. I was panicking!!! My blood test is on Wednesday, April 5. I could not resist and did HPT. I know I should not have done it. It came back as negative. Now I don't know what to think.. :( Any ideas? Has anyone had a negative HPT and then BFP? Thank you all and good luck to all of us.

HPT is not very accurate. Please, don't panic.
Yes, i did have a BFN with HPT that I took 2 days before my beta. I was devastated but then 2 days later blood work came 166! So, don't even think about the HPT before you hear the beta results.

thank you for your support. It has been a very difficult month for me. Waiting for 2ww is the most difficult part. I have period-like pain and this solid negative hpt was a last drop. I've read i think almost every website about hpt, ivf etc. It kills me. I can hardly wait until 5 April... My husband works overseas so, I am dealing with this by myself.

Ayadeen, it goes both ways. You can have negative at home and negative beta or vice versa. I wish you all the best do not let home test get to you. I have negative at home and negative beta. I have seen a lot of ladies here we negative hpt and posive beta. Well, three more days to go. I wish you all the best.

Thank you all! Do you think I should try to do hpt tomorrow (day 12 after et?) I just really hope it will be more positive....It is so nice to have people who understand what you are going through and not judging you... I read this message board all the time. It helps me so much! It also helps to hear that some people are going through the same experience and eventually are successful in getting pregnant.

Try to stay calm. I would NOT do anymore tests if you can help it. You do not need any more worries at this point than necessary. Try to just wait and see what comes Wed. Best of luck.

Not a very good day for me. I got BPN.....

Spoke to my doc and he told me we can try fet. I have 9 frozen embryos. I would really appreciate if you can share with me your experience with fet and lessons learnt.

I am so sorry. I know excatly what your going through. I just had my BFN three weeks. I have BFN from home too. I have 4 embies left. I am not in IVF mood right now. I do know what I am going to do. However, a lot of people a successfull with FET. I wish you all the best. I know it hurts so bad. Please keep you head up. You can really get over this. I can tell you one thing. I have not cried. I refused to cry. I told myself if I was going to cry. I might not stop. I am doing really good. I sure you will too... Good LuCk..

I am very sorry. Try and keep your head up. I know you are hurting, I cannot even imagine. What does not kill you, will make you stronger.

Thank you all for your support. This message board and you all have helped me so much for the last few weeks. I am trying to stay positive and focus on actions I can control.

I am going to see my doctor next wednesday to discuss what my options are. Most likely I will go through FET. I know I have even less chances with FET than with the fresh cycle, but would like to try.

If someone was in the similar situation and has any advice or would like to share story, I will be very very happy to hear it.

So Sorry to hear your BFN Hang in there take time to think about what your next step is.I had a BFN in Nov.but, didnt have the chance to do FET due to not surviving so it took me 5 months to decide if I wanted to go through IVF again because i was a mess. But, time heels and Im ready to go again. Its tough but, hang in there! Jess
