BFN For me

Post by angelamw »

Well AF has arrived so it is a BFN for me. AF arrived on Sunday evening, just as I was about to open up at work. Why does she have to start like this. You would think she would have a bit more compassion and arrive at a more convienient time so that you can take time out to get used to the news.

Anyway I have spoken to the clinic today and we can't start straight onto our 3rd cycle of IUI as it would clash with the Easter holidays so have to wait for another month. We should be getting funding for IVF in May so the big decision now is do we try one more go at IUI or jump straight to the IVF.

I am surprised how well I have taken this 2nd time around and haven't cryed yet!!! Still for some reason I have found it hard to come on line and tell you girls. Maybe typing it makes all the more real.

Well good luck to everyone else
Angela

Angela I am so sorry to hear that. And making you wait because of Easter... well, that doesn't help either. These clinics just don't understand that every day feels like a month. Maybe this time off will help you to decide what to do next. Good luck to you,

so sorry Angela. You sound so strong, but remember, it can hit you like a ton of bricks, right when you least expect it. So take the time out to relax. Next one will be the one.

Oh Angela, I'm so so sorry for you. Work is good to keep your mind off things but do also take time out to get over the bad news.

May will be here before you know it - good luck with the next IUI or IVF. It WILL work Angela.

Hugs

Angela,

So sorry my dear. Please take some time to be nice to yourself -- long hot baths (the kind you had to avoid on the 2ww), a glass or two of wine, anything to help you unwind from the roller coaster that is assisted conception. And if you ever want to chat re: IVF v. IUI give a holler. Big hugs.

Hey Angela
Sorry for news :( Take some time to grieve and refuel. Whatever your desicion I wish you all the very best of luck. Its great that there are options around the corner, and though every day really does feel like a month, use the time to make yourself strong.

Whilst every day does seem like a lifetime, in the longterm what increases your chances overall? If the IUI would mean that theres one extra attempt that you might not otherwise have access too, is it worth going with that? If the IUI is an option anytime, I can totally understand why it would be tempting to go straight for IVF.

Hang in there, Have faith coz its only WHEN not IF, ( ... I hope I dont sound like all those people I have felt like smacking in the mouth a 100 times before! ... )

Take care
