IVF and Endo

Hi first time having IVF I have endometriosis has any one else been through IVF who has endo? I'm due for e/c on the 8th Aug I think the site is fantastic and I wish all of you good luck.

Hi, I have mild endometriosis and dh has low sperm count, this is our first IVF and should have ec on 5th Aug. I am lucky I never had any symptoms of endo, so it was a real shock when they discovered it after my lapo. Do you suffer with yours? How are you coping with the everything? I am cope okay with the drugs, but a bit of an emotional wreck I think its because its all very new and unsettling. This site is such a god send, although I don't post much I do read it everyday, its great to know your not alone and it makes my day when someone gets pg. Wishing you and everyone else lots of luck. Hi Just to let you know I have endo and just had my 1st attempt of ICSI, I do suffer with Endo but I don't think I suffer as much as some people. I have been very lucky to be honest with our 1st attempt because it worked 1st time and I am pregnant, I am now 14 weeks today. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Love Shell. x x x

Hi, I have mild endo, like Lynne, I had no idea I had it until I had a lap. I've just started my first IVF cycle with an estimated EC date of Tuesday 26th August. Let me know how you're getting on. Lots of love, Jo xx

Hi I had mild endro didnt know until my lapo in feb,just failed our first IVF managed to freeze 6 embryos so starting FET Oct. This site is godsend for me it as helped me so much I've got to come on every day,go away tomorrow so will have withdrawn symptoms! Good luck and keep in touch. Love Gem xx

Hi everyone I found out out my endo,about 9 years ago when I had a lapo.Also I have PCO's,and before my very first go at IVF i had a colcoscopy to remove cancerous cells,I don,t know wether it jogging something down below but the IVF worked the first time.I am now waiting to see the consultant about our final and 5th go,so I will keep you posted on that.We did have a long break after the third go and we were not going to do it again,as I had OHSS and I was quite poorly in hospital,It,s very easy to forget the pain you went through,but I never give up. Does any one think that taking the Marilyn Glenvilles,Linseed Oil,Vitamin C and Asprin really helps? Would like to know what you think? Best Wishes Jane xxxx

Hi All thanks for the info I had extremely bad periods all my life and was diagnosed with Endo at 28 having suffered from the age of 15 I have has laser treatment and they say it is all gone although I still have very bad periods. I had a miscarriage a few months ago I had been on clomid for 9 months. This is my first attempt at IVF and I am OK at the moment. My biggest fear is that as I have always had bad periods there is something wrong with my womb and I will never be able to carry. Does anyone else have really bad periods and has IVF worked?? Lynne good luck for the 5th are you injecting and how is it all going?

I did suffer with heavy periods, 10 or 11 days of bleeding and it did use to get me down but you have to keep yourself picked up. Also another question thats been asked about aspirin I was advised I needed to take it and I did and I got pregnant. Love Shell. xx

Hi Alison, Things are going okay with us, not finding the injections too bad, got follies scan on Friday so a little nervous about that, but so far so good. How did you find Clomid? I used it for 3 months but I got really bad side effects from it, it didn't work for us. I used to get really bad periods from 14 to 23 but they stopped being so bad, I do have light bleeding from about day 21/22 until af, they think that is due to endo. I have heard of alot of women with really bad periods who have success with IVF so I don't think you should worry about it (easier said than done) I have a rather delicate question , I have had problems with bowel movements since I was in my late teens and when they investigated and found endo that noted that I had some on my bowel, I have tried everything to help but anything only lasts for about a couple of weeks, have you had similar problems or heard of anyone how has, if so is there anything that can help, sorry if its too graphic. Just to add to the other posts - I got pregnany on my second try at IVF with ICSI and am now 13 weeks pg - so take heart! I was disgnosed with severe endo in 2000 - lots of adhesions in abdomen and pelvis, blocked tubes, low ovulation, bilateral chocolate ovarian cysts - in addition DH had sperm problems so we had to have ICSI. The first IVF failed, but before the second I had a laparoscopic drainage of the cysts then began Synarel nasal spray immediately so they didn't return before the IVF - as my endo had come back very quickly following earlier surgery. I also took aspirin from the day of stims until the preg test, and also took 4 evening primrose capsules and one large cod liver oil capsule to help the endo, as omega 3 and 6 fatty acids not only help the pain enormously, but also reduce the inflammation. - this definitely helped my endo symptoms, and when I stopped taking the EP and CL oils symptoms worsened very quickly.
