Hi everyone!

I'm going mad with the wait. Image Finally made 5 weeks yesterday. YEAH!!

Traci - congratulations on your wonderful scan! Dream come true! Sorry about the ms. Maybe try the writst band?

Eminde - I hope your scan goes beautifully tomorrow! Will your RE boot you out after this scan?

Bella - I so love seeing your symptoms list :D It helps me feel so much better because mine are so similar. I also have only mild, occasional "queasiness" that I probably wouldn't think twice about unless I was obsessing like now. Also, I have only mildly sore boobs occasionally throughout the day. I'm not even very tired!!

Kristi - I'm so glad to read about someone else who has diahrea  I know that sounds odd, but I always hear about constipation and wondered what was wrong with me to get the opposite. I'm taking 1 tablet of immodium every 1 or so days and that seems to do it for me. I was told that was fine. I am sorry about the wretched ms, but as you said, I'd also accept throwing up easily to have the pregnancy. Glad the wrist band is helping.

Sue - I'm not keeping occupied (mentally that it) at all! I finally ordered a cd for sleep, because I've had trouble falling asleep lately. At night and in the morning I try to visualize good growth etc, and think I'm causing myself some anxiety! My scan seems agonizingly so far away. I really want to see the hb!!!!

Ahart - I'm so sorry for your scare. Hoping the 3rd hb pops up for next scan. Are you still on bedrest? Image If not, I hope dh is spoiling you tons and you're getting lots of rest before next scan.

Cla - I've had this funny cold also! I wasn't sure what to make of it until I read your post. Congrats on your DVD. Just out of curiosity, how many times have you and dh watched it so far?!

Mel - Glad to see such a positive percent at 8 wks. Am holding my breath to get there! For now, I am just hanging out for the scan. Wanted to feel a bit more normal (whatever that is!) and avoid extra labs. Now am going crazy and wondering what I was thinking! The wait is killing me!

Deidre - We have the same scan day! Right after Easter? How are you doing? Do you have any special instructiongs from your RE for this time? Any symptoms?

Tonight I plan to watch Ice Age. Dh brought it home yesterday as surprise. I need light entertainment to get through the second 2ww!! Image

Traci - fabulous news!!!! I'm so happy for you - everything is going swimingly!!!

Daly - I went through this thread from start to finish after my BFP, and I took note of all the people that seemed to sound like me (in terms of symptoms) and then made sure their scan went OK. It did. That's why I try to write it - I know that for those of us that don't have textbook symptoms, it can seem like it's all a hoax...... it's not!!! I have my scan tomorrow, which I hope will get fabbo results like the other ladies here, and that you will get after Easter!!!

Hi Ladies,

I'm feeling the same....ok a little worse..I think the worst feeling is nausea...I'd rather get it over with and then get in the bed..Alot of things happened over the week and I've been so tired with working and being sick. Friday is my last day at work with my company..if I work again during the pregnaqncy it will be part time... DH's so supportive..Off to rest, I have a repeat scan on friday...I will keep you all updated

Everyone get some well deserved rest

Hey Ho,
Heaps happening! So great to hear all the scans are going well, sorry to hear of your worries Ahart, beanie 3 will be in our thoughts, and hope your all Okay, stay strong for your other two beanies. Its great that the other two are doing well.

Hope those feeling a little low, take it easy on themselves. Normal to probably feel all sorts of things, hormonally as well as physically things are going crazy in our bodies.

So, finally after a week of stress, I have a midwife (yay!) and seeing her on Monday so thats a nice bridge to the next scan. Some midwives told me that some woman are calling and checking availability of planned birth dates before they conceive! Boy dont know why, but that still makes me grizzle at the mystery planning moms! I was imagining doing the same, "hello can you book a place for me next year"and then calling back the next 5 years in a row with "errr sorry, if you dont mind holding my spot, that will be next year thanks" .... "sorry can we make that the year AFTER next!"

Bummed out coz decided to tell one close friend (actually DP told her partner first), and she didn't even congratulate me!!! Huh!

... AND in a great example of "How NOT to tell your boss" I sent a text message aong lines of "WOW! found a midwife finally blah blah blah" ... to my boss TIM instead of friend TINA! Mortified! So my manager now knows anyway!

Sorry to blather, Anyhoo, Bella - finally your up! Does seem to have been a wee wait doesnt it!

Hope everyone else is kei te pai!

Mel - you are so funny!!! I was just thinking of writing a post asking whether the pregnancy vague-ness kicks in this early - and then I saw your post and know I am not alone!!!! Sending an SMS to your boss...what a silly sausage! Anyway, how did he take it?

Our clinic puts on an Early Pregnancy Information Session - just going through a lot of things like nutrition, what to expect, early scans etc., as well as meeting other people in the clinic. Sounds great...so was already to get on the bus just now, and then I looked at the invitation - it was last night!!! ARGH!!!

What a bummer Mel about not getting the reaction you deserve for your great news. I had some similar reactions - one friend even said in a really dreary tone "congrats...I hope nothing goes wrong". Well gee, thanks.

Anyway, now instead of getting a bus, I will have a nap.

Good luck for tomorrow ahart.

Mel - your post made me chuckle....probably not the ideal way to tell your boss...oh well!
I went in for another blood test today - will get the results this afternoon. This is my last appnt until my fist scan on 4/17/06. (Or 17/4/06 for those in the UK). I am so anxious - this wait has been harder than the 2ww after the transfer. I go to the bathroom constantly because I am paranoid about seeing blood (Had a miscarriage last year). Thankfully - I've experienced little nausea - just one small bout of it. Probably because I succumbed to a craving for a fast food burger. Haven't eaten that junk in years! My abdomen has still been a little tender and sore from the OHSS but it seems to be getting better.
Daly - I am so glad we're on the same schedule - can't wait to hear how your scan goes.
Ahart - any updates??

Ahart - I hope you are feeling better - I am having lots of exhaustion with just 1 so I can't imagine how you are feeling. Get lots of rest and stay away from stress.

Mel - How did your boss react? It sounds like something I would do...well atleast he knows and you have a great story to tell!

Bella - Tomorrow is your big day...can't wait to read your news and sleep tight tonight!

Daly - I hope you enjoyed the movie and the big 'D' has gotten better. When we were in Dubai we stayed at friends house for a couple of days...the last day I had really bad 'D'...and was really embarrassed that our host walked by the bathroom during my episode

Hi Sue, Kristi and Eminde!!

I have officially graduated from my clinic today :D :D I am now in the care of my ObGyn (yeah!! - she is awesome!) I have been super, super lazy the past 2 days...literally lying on the couch! I think the travelling really knocked me out, this evening I am finally starting to get some energy back. Tomorrow I hope to catch up on the neglected activities.

I hope everyone is ok!!

Hi ladies -

I'm playing hooky today (do you use that phrase in Europe?!?). Anyway, I'm laying about like a perpetual couch potatoe and loving it. Haven't got much sleep lately and needed a good rest.

Ahart, we're all pulling for your next scan. It is such good news that the other 2 look so strong.

Mel - your post was hilarious. What did your boss post back to you? I hope he at least said "congratulations". I can't believe your friend. Something odd going on with her?

Bella - you poor thing going out to the bus all excited for your course. :( I wanted to hear what they said as well. We don't have a course at my clinic. grrr. I feel kindof left out to pasture. I think they should have at least done a 3rd hcg. My history is not pretty and I'd think they'd be a bit more cautious. Oh well. I had some faint nausea this am and felt happy for that!!

Deirdre - I'm so jealous!! You get to have a 3rd hcg test. I know it will turn out beautifully. I'm wondering if I should have pushed for that...I have the exact same bathroom experience. I'm always checking for blood and I go about once an hour, so that's alot of checking!!

Traci - Congratulations on your graduation!!! I'm joining you in the couch lifestyle. My dogs think it's the greatest thing (next to a steak) that could happen in their lives. If I remember right, you have a little four-legged offspring as well. Enjoy your promotion to normal ob-gyn land!!

Big HI Image to the other ladies in waiting - Eminde, Kristi, Sue!! Hope you're all doing well.

I'm joining you guys at being a couch potato too! I work from home some days and the other day I woke up in bed, worked in bed all day on my laptop, watched TV at night in bed, and went to sleep in bed at night. Didn't leave the bed!! Not much energy in this body.

I also graduated to my OBGYN and made my first appointment with him today. I'm going in 3 weeks for an apt with him and a scan. So 3 weeks will be the longest wait I've had for anything during this process. I will be 11.5 weeks when I go, so I'll be excited to see how the babies look at that stage.

My sickness has been so much more tolerable thanks to those nauseua wristbands I told you about. Boy, what a difference. I can function now!

Good luck tomorrow Bella! Take home pictures with you!! Can't wait to hear about it!

Yes, any pharmacy or Target, K-mart, etc. I will be recommending these to everyone in the future. Truly a life saver. They are about $10. One on each wrist. They apply pressure with a little plastic ball on one point on your wrist that blocks a signal to your brain. So I guess I'm nauseaus but don't know it. ha ha. Give em a try!

Hello Ladies,

Please add me to the scan list my first u/s is on April 11th. I can hardly wait! The good news is that all my Beta HCG tests show high numbers. Doc thinks it may be twins! I really hope that both of my transfered embies will make it. I am also experiencing many symptoms canstant hunger and cravings, running to the bathroom every 30 minutes, VERY soar breasts and also some nausia. I think that's a good sign!
Anyaway, waiting for tuesday is hard, but I hope we see both of our beanies!
