I just got my beta level back this afternoon. My first scan has been moved up to this Mon - because they're quite sure I'm having twins! I've been going back and forth between elation and sheer terror all afternoon. I have to say - if it's twins I've been pretty fortunate so far - no excessive m/s or exhaustion. I probably just jinxed myself! :D

YAY!!! Scan went well!!! Heart beating at 154bpm. It's only around 9mm, which she said was normal, but looking at you other ladies, it seems a little small. Does anyone know the range it should be in?

It was so exciting - I saw more from the external scan. The little bean, and you could see the little heart beating!!!!

So fabulous. Now, for anyone not feeling morning sickness, it doesn't mean anything. My boobs aren't even sore at the moment. :-)

Good vibes to all you upcoming scanners ( no luck though, cos it's not required!)

Bella.

Bella - so glad the scan went well. I think the size can range quite a bit - so don't worry :D If you're baby stays on the small side - you will be very thankful during delivery!

Yeah Bella!! That's a terrific hb!!! Hope you have a great weekend with such wonderful news! Image

I'm seeing if I can get another hcg to tide me over until the scan a week from Monday. (I feel a bit like a junkie trying to get my fix!) They said they don't usually do an hcg this late, but will ask the RE. Will let you know if I get new hcg numbers.

Daly - the reason they rechecked my HCG is that my numbers were looking so great they thought I might be able to ween myself off of the hormones I was taking. I am happy to say that I don't have to do any more progesterone shots!!! It is nice to get an update, though, that the numbers are continuing to rise as they should. Hopefully they'll get you in soon!

Well my RE called back and said we could move my US up to next Friday. YEAH!! That way I can get the news before the weekend and hopefully feel calmer. He also said one of his other pt's just delivered a healthly baby after transfering only a 4-celled embie on day 3 transfer. So good to hear about another itty-bitty embie making it. I'm feeling calmer for the time being.

Deidre - they haven't checked my progesterone since right after the transfer! They said they don't check them again. Hmmmm. I'm still getting a big needle in the botton every AM!! Oh well. Most my nerve endings are gone am I'm kindof numb around there at this point!! So glad to hear your fantastic news. Twins is such wonderful news!!!

Everyone have a great week-end! :D

Eminde - thinking of you and hoping all went well with your scan.

Looks like there are a few having there scans next week, good luck

me, i don't know when my next scan is, just have to wait for the hospital to get in touch, really hoping it's soon.

How is everyone doing? I think my morning/early evening sickness is starting to get a little better, have managed the odd day without being sick, although still feeling rough most of the day.

love

It's taken a weekend of relaxing and being happy to now having a worry first thing Monday morning!!!

Is a heartbeat of 154bpm too high? What has everyone else's been at around 7 weeks?

Bella, they didn't measure the heartbeat during my 6 week or 8 weeks scans (at least they didn't mention it if they did). And I didn't know to ask. Hopefully someone else can you tell you what they had so you don't worry.

Deidre, your scan was moved up to tomorrow, right (Monday)? I'm looking forward to hearing if you find twins like you are expecting.

Ahart, weren't you re-scanning this past Friday? Hoping to hear good news about the 3rd heartbeat.

Eminde, how did you repeat scan go? Twins still growing strong? Are you feeling any better?

Sue, glad to hear your sickness has gotten a little better. Week 8 for me was much better than 6 & 7 too.

Traci & Mel, how are you feeling? When is your next scan or will it be awhile before you have your next one?

Larissa & Daly, good luck this week with your first scans!

Hi all

Sorry, I wasn't able to log on for a few days now. I'm not working at the moment so can't log on at work as I used to and DH's computer is very temperemental... Anyway, our scan last week went really well - 2 heartbeats seen :D :D We were so happy. Am taking it quite easy now though as had some more bleeding on Saturday and don't want to take any risks. I'm trying not to worry as it's happened a few times now and it this does seem to happen sometimes during pregnancies. I'm so glad as the morning sickness is back this morning hopefully confirming things are still OK.

Jamato - congratulations to you! Have added you to the list.

Traci - glad your scan went well and hope you are keeping those rice crackers down

Kristi - thanks for the tip on the wristbands. I will try this too as I have some from when we cross the English Channel on the ferry.

Sue - have you got your next scan date yet? Hope the m/s is holding off a bit. I should count myself very lucky as I only feel sick, but am not actually sick.

Daly - since I got my BFP I've been at my usual gyn for the scans. She's even offered me another one at 10 weeks. I can't complain! Glad you've got one on Friday - it would have been hard waiting until after the Easter break.

Deirdre - how exciting for you! Hope it is twins as you sound excited at the prospect. Let us know how it goes today.

Mel - how did the m/w appt go? I bet you felt terrible about letting your boss know by mistake, but at least he does know now and will hopefully take it well and even be understanding.

Ahart - how are you doing? Hope all's well with your 3 little beanies.

Bella - congratulations to you on that hearbeat scan! My beanies were 10mm at my 7w 1d scan and she told me that was normal so I think yours sounds fine. Heartbeat I forgot to ask about but will remember for next scan.

Larisa - wishing you all the best for tomorrow!

Just got back from my first scan. We were able to see twins but only 1 has a detectable heartbeat. There other one is much tinier. The doctor said it's too early to say whether "twin b" will be ok - we'll know more at the 9 week scan. More waiting! The technology of the ultrasound is so amazing. I think it made it so much more real for my teary dh.
