Anna - I would say DEFINITELY go for it!!! You're not mad for wanting to start so quickly; it's only normal after such a disappointment and now you feel you're making +ve steps. And it's really not long till May :)

Christine - good luck for your cycle and hoping that ET happens on 22. My fingers and everything is crossed for you.

Sophie - thanks for the nice wishes. I'm so glad that you're now cycling again. All the best for 22 too!!

Hope everyone is OK. Any news Souris?

Hi all, it's very quiet on this thread. Hope everyone is OK.

I just got back from my apptmt with my IVF dr. She is very supportive of our decision to go to Spain for DE tmt. The waiting list here is at least 18 months. The nurse printed off all my records and gave them to me. I am all ready to go to Barcelona now...just need to book the flights and think of a really good excuse for not going to work!

Hugs to all on this thread

Anna -

Great to see the appointment went well. It certainly makes things a little easier when you don't have to fight for something that's rightfully yours (i've read about those that had to beg to get their notes!!).
nice to see you so positive and taking giant leaps forward!!! let us know how you get on in Barcelona!

Cla

PS - How about a "funeral" - people can't be so insensitive as to moan about that. Say an elderly family member that lives in the Midlands whose friends have mainly passed away and therefore you feel obliged to attend as you couldn't possibly let someone go to rest on their own. Several hours drive there. The funeral. Tea/sandwiches with the vicar and her few friends that could make it, follwed by a couple of hours drive back - bingo no time for work!!!! Would have to wait until nearer thetime to let them know though! Good luck!

Hi Ladies, how is everyone today?

We booked our flight and hotel for Barcelona yesterday. It's all becoming 'real' now! Scared, excited, anxious, happy, terrified etc... all at the same time. Par for the course I suppose but the roller coaster doesn't get any easier does it?

Cla, I think I'm going to do the 'migraine' excuse ! Our flight is booked for Tues eve, so I can go to work and get an oscar for my performance at not feeling very well. Leave work at around 3.30pm. Then DP can phone them Wed morning and say I won't be in. Our flight back is Wed eve. So then I can go to work Thurs! I will look and feel tired but hehe, I just had an awful migraine! The lengths we go to eh?

Sophie and Christine, hope those FET cycles are all going according to plan. Have a good feeling about you two. This will be the ONE. I'm sure of it. 22nd April is going to be a good day!

Any news from Souris? Hope you are OK sweetie, thinking of you. x

Kelly, not long now and back on the roller coaster! Good luck with this cycle.

Lynne, how are you? Haven't seen you post for a while. Hope all is Ok and you are keeping busy as you count down the days.

Hi to Lisa, hope you are Ok.

Hello to Eminde and Stacey. What's happening with you two? Keep us posted, you are our inspiration!! :)

Anna - it must be SO exciting now to have the flights booked. I can imagine it must have given you a huge boost to do this step. Knowing that the waiting time is 18 months I'm sure you want to start asap to get the ball rolling.

Thanks, things are fine with me. I actually had another scan yesterday as I'd been bleeding for a couple of days (it was such a shock) but am glad to say that their little hearts are still beating away. Am taking it easy though and am lying down for a while during the day (blessing in disguise but I'm currently waiting for work to come in at the moment so have the opportunity to do this!)

Hope everyone has a lovely Easter!!

Thanks ladies, good to see you are both well and everything is Ok with those little packages! Thank you for your messages, I think I would go slowly crazy without these boards to keep me company.

Have just been to see the nurse for up to date blood tests to take with us to Barcelona. I actually managed to talk to her about our situation without welling up/crying/getting emotional. That has to be a first! So this is one step closer.....
Happy Easter to all

Hi all,
Sorry I've not posted for ages. I've been away working in deepest darkest Gwynedd. I've had a real nightmare of a time. The person I went with was the only one who knew I was undergoing ICSI last time round and she was a real ***** about it, so I wasn't looking forward to the experience. As it happened she was still a real ***** about it. I just ignored her for most of the time. There are too many bad things to tell you, so I won't bother. Anyway, she nearly killed us yesterday on the motorway because she went to sleep. I'd driven all week, but we broke down and had a hire car, which only she was insured to drive. So she was bringing us home and it was only 7.30 in the evening. I have to tell you I was properly frightened. Thankfully we weren't hurt, but it was sheer luck.
I made her pull over and she laughed telling me she'd gone to sleep and she'd done it before. So I drove the rest of the way, with no insurance. I was not happy! So an awful end to an awful week.
But I'm home safe and sound now(even if my car is still in Wales) and we've had a new carpet in the hall and DH has decorated, so it's all lovely. And AF arrived on schedule, not early, text book 28 days, so I'm delighted. I start jabbing on 4th May for EC/ET week of 5th June so I'm over the moon.
A friend rang to say she was pregnant while I was away. Unfortunately she is a very jealous person and her sister had a baby last year. She has gone out of her way to get herself pregnant and is living with an awful man who she doesn't love. I feel sorry for the poor little mite that she will bring into the world. It seems so unfair, but instead of being devastated I am focussing on the fact that we shall be pregnant together, which will be great. It came as a bit of a shock though. I knew she would have a baby one day- she's had 2 terminations in the past and we are getting on now, so time is running out, but I didn't expect it this soon.

Anna, your news sounds exciting. I hope it goes really well for you in Barcelona.
Sue, Eminde how are the bumps you lucky things?
Sophie could to see you're back on board. Good luck with it all. Here's wishing loads of baby dust to you.
Christine, I hope that lining is lovely and thick now.
Cla, how are you doing? What stage are you at now?
Hope I haven't missed anyone off.

We're off shopping now. I need to buy mu Mum something for Easter and we're having a dinner party on Monday, so off to buy veggies. DH is doing duck in a rasberry sauce and Beef Wellington, so it should be a great calorific experience. Can't wait. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Hi Lynne,

Glad you have arrived back in one piece, i think i would of left your colleague at the side of the road when i pulled over, see if she would of found that funny!!! Good news that af has arrived on time, what are the chances of that happening? Not long now till the jabbing, will be keeping everything crossed for you.

As for me, im still quite nervous, havent got a bump, as im overweight people probably wont know im pregnant till its about to arrive!!! But so far i have managed to lose about 11 lb, i tend to be sick at least once a day. My next scan is 10th May, so hopefully all will be well and then i can start to relax.

Good luck, can't wait to read your news

love
