Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for you lovely messages, things didnt go quite to plan and I had a slight gush of fluid on tuesday (4th) night, my hubby had just flown to sydney that morning and all the planes were grounded for the night. I rang my hubby and I wasnt going to bother to go into hospital to have it checked as it had happened before and been nothing, well after talking about it we decided i should go in just in case, I was there from 9.30pm until 12.30pm when I saw my doctor and she took one look and said my waters had definately broken. They thought about waiting until my hubby could get back the next morning but were too worried I would labour and they didnt know how long my waters had been broken for. So at 2am 5th of April they sectioned me, I was a bit scared of the epidural but my mum came to be with me and then my babies were born, I feel really well and am breastfeeding them both well. I didnt realize you could love 3 human beings so much and the same amount (3rd person is my 6yr old). I hope you can see the photos please tell me if you cant.
I am out of the hospital now and feeling great, only had to be there 2 days babies weights are
Savannah 6.5 pounds
Luc 5.5 pounds
Thanks again for the well wishes and i will post better pics later

the babies sleep for around 3 hours then nurse and sleep again at the moment. Except at 8.30pm where they decide they want to feed hourly and wont settle until around 4am. I am so tired because i am not a night person, i dont know how long this phase will last but its a learning curve.
The babies are everything i could ever have dreamed of though and make every sleepless night worth while
I will post some more pics when i can get my hubby to upload them
I hope all the new mums and expectant mums are doing ok.
First we were only 4 days apart in 40 week due dates, then we were both moved to be delivered on the 18th then we had our babies by accident on the same day .
the 5th of april will be a miraculous day for both of us forever.
I know!!
Its so amazing!
Jaymee,
Hope you manage to get some sleep during the day..Hows your elder one taking the new arrivals?
Double joy also means double all the work i guess.
Take good care of you.
hugs,
smita
