Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to say thanx for the welcomes and the support. I started my Lupron shots this week (with the help of dh) and after a quick panic attack, I realized they weren't so bad! I can handle these! The rest still looks scary.
Sophia -- that's good news, I am sure a delay would have been so frustrating. I too am worried about the mood swings.
Danielle -- Good luck!
Carolyn -- I love the baby dust!!
Brenda -- welcome and good luck. Please keep us posted.

I have left out a bunch of people, but my thoughts are with you all.

How much time are you planning to take off (or have you taken off) after the ET? How much have you told your bosses? Just curious, I haven't told anyone at work yet...

Beth, welcome. I have not told my boss either. I think I will quit my job in July anyway. I have too many trips to make.I live in the USA. I am originally form Bulgaria, DH is from Russia. His sister is getting married in Germany. So, we will go to Germany for the wedding, then to BG and RU probably. if I am prego I will quit. I don't like my job anyway.
But I plan on taking around 10-14 day after ER. My clinic does mainly 5 day transfer so if we have blasts at day 5 I will stay at least 1 more week after transfer. I will talk to my boss next week and tell him that I am taking unpaid time off due to medical reasons (I already had oral surgery 2 months ago and used all of my sick day. I february we went to Mexico and I lost my vacation days. Sucks to be me right now:):) I am waiting to see that I start injections and it is really happening.
GL!

Hello Everyone

We are quite a crowd. Image

DH popped out to watch football at a mates so finally I can get on line to check the boards! We had a very nice lunch today together and we were out with friends last night so that has taken my mind off things at least for part of the weekend.

Lisa - what a shame that you cannot get treatment on nhs when you actually work for them. That is harsh but I guess they have lots of rules around who gets what. Given my age I decided that we would just have to pay to save time & so we could get going rather than having to wait. I know that we are v lucky just to be in a position where we can pay for tmt.

Beth/Vess - I have not told my boss. Have just told a couple of people at work - but more as they are friends rather than they are 'at work'. However I have been planning for ages to go part-time (3 days) from Easter (agreed last year). I have just been telling boss so far that I have to go to hospital and that I will make up the time. Going to decide if I take more time off in the 2ww when it is a bit closer.

Danielle - thinking of you counting down the days and hoping that our 'leading lady' is going to start this thread off with a BFP. Image

Vess - not used the pen yet so afraid that I cannot help. They have given me one for stimmies so hope that I get to start using on Wednesday :?: :?

Wendy - do let us all know how you have been getting on with the injections. It does get easier - promise.

Brenda - welcome on board. Sending you lots of baby dust for this week.
Image

Laura - welcome to the April/May team. Everyone is so helpful & supportive. This is my first try too. Everyone that I know seems to be pregnant right now & so impossible to really talk to. It is great being able to share what you are feeling openly with everyone here. Wishing you lots of luck for your tmt.

Prissy - Image - losing 5 pounds is great. I am sure that I am putting weight on. Cannot bear to get on the scales as sure that I will be depressed. Sure that I am eating more to keep my spirits up - well that is my excuse anyway.

Mitzy - good luck for tomorrow. Have my fingers crossed that there will be lots of Image.

Hope that everyone is else is having a really nice weekend. Have a conference from tomorrow pm through Wednesday evening so not sure if I'll be on line until say Thursday. Am having to sneak out conference on Tuesday am for my suppression scan. Have my fingers crossed that the 18 days of injections will have done their job & that I can start stimmies.

I only got the first batch of down regging stuff so far - not the whole lot in one go.

Let's hope with that amount of stuff that it works.

Good Luck.

Wow there's so many of us! just been away for the weekend to Oxford (had an ace time!) and just got in and checked and i can't believe how big this thread is already!

started my buserelin this morning. as usual my first jab was a bit of a mess but i usually get the hang of it after a few days. No side effects yet but i usually get lots of headaches, nausea and mood swings - ooh can't wait for that lot to kick in.

hope everyone is ok - really starting to lose track now of where everyone is up to cos we're such a crowd!

Hello Ladies,

Just a quick note to let you know that the injections are going much better, haven't felt faint at all since my first one and I'm a lot more relaxed about them. DH is quickly becoming an expert, although I'm being especially nice to him at the moment to ensure his full concentration when brandishing that needle!!! Haven't experienced any side effects yet, although it has only been 3 days! :o

Also, forgot to mention in my last post that I have my baseline scan on 27 April, if one of you lovely ladies would update my details on the list - Thanks :)

Thank you for the warm welcome. It is so great to have this place to go to. I am getting ready to do my HCG shot at 10 pm this evening. It will be my last injection. HOORAY!! Hang in there to all of you just starting. They really are not all that bad it is just nice to be done. I have to report for ER at 9:00am on Tuesday. And ET on Friday and then my first test will be April 28. Thanks for sending baby dust my way.

Forgive me as I can not remember all of you as this is new to me and there are quite a few of us. But I am wishing all of you very good luck as this month continues. However I do want to mention something to Ellie.

Ellie- I totally understand about wanting to have another child. You are not being greedy at all.

I have a 2 year old after going through IVF 3 times. Fresh twice and then FET once and that was +tive. We adore her as we consider her our miracle. But I always wanted more than 1 child and I don't know why I should settle for less than that. So why should you? I thought it would feel different this time also since I already have one but it doesn't. I want it just as bad as I did the first time, because this really has nothing to do with her. It has everything to do with wanting another one to call your own that will be special in their own way.

Well that's enough for now. I guess I just needed to get that off my chest. I will let you all know how Tuesday goes. Until then good luck with all the shots and keep the follicles coming!!

Hi all.

Luby-all the best for your blood test today. Image

Mitzy-good luck with the EC today. Hope everything goes fine for you and you have some beautiful eggs. Image

WendyW-hope you are getting on well with your injections. It takes a bit of getting used to it but I’m sure you’ll be fine. Shame about the holiday.

CarolynB-Hammersmith has been quite good to be honest. It can be a bit busy and impersonal due to many clients but I found it all right most of the times.

I’m still on a long cycle, just a different start day. Used to start on day 2 and this time round on day 21.

Would be lovely to bump into each other. Image

All the best for your scan tomorrow. Let us know how you get on.
Image

Sofia-that’s brilliant news. Image
Don’t worry about the mood swings too much. As long as you both know where it’s coming from…*g*
I never have mood swings on the DR. Image Well, sure hubby would say something else if you ask him Image

But I find as soon as you go on the stimms it gets better anyway.

Danie454- one 9 and one 8 cell...that’s brilliant. Hope you can manage to stay kind of sane during the dreaded 2 ww. Image Fingers crossed for you.

LauraLou-welcome to the board. Image

Brenjamie-welcome to the board. Image Good luck for tomorrow. Try drinking plenty of water, that’s good for the lining of your womb.

Nothing new here, only early days on DR so still feeling brilliant. Even went for a run this morning.

Hello to everyone else. Take care all and enjoy your day.

Hello Everyone

Sita - welcome on board. Everyone is so friendly & helpful. Good luck for your tmt. At least you can get going now that AF is here. I have been using the Buserline & it has not been too bad - so far! Just hope it has been doing the business for me.

Hi ladies, thanks for the good wishes, I had my EC today, apparently most ladies don't feel a thing, i felt everything

The managed to get 6 eggs, 4 mature & 2 immature.

The embrologist came to see us in recovery, and told us that hubby had a problem with is swimmers, so we are haveing ICSI :D, which I am so pleased at, as it takes the worry of any not fertilizing away.

Anyway fingersXXXX now for the phonecall tomorrow, and hopefully I will have two embies put back on Wednesday.

Hello everyone!

I would love to join your group. We are starting our 1st IVF/ICSI cycle removal on May 1ST --I'm nervous and hopeful. My DH's sperm count and morphology is low so they decided this was the best option for us. I had a fibroid removed 2 years ago (with Lupron treatment for 3 mths)and it has not come back so they say- chances are pretty good. 50%-65%(Canada) according to this clinics stats. So we're keeing our fingers crossed.

I started my injections of Bureselin on April 7th. It's causing small bruising so I'm not sure why. My DH has been doing the injections- my first on I thought I would faint and it was hard to breath- but after three now its getting better. My first baseline scan is on the 20th of April.

It's really helpful to hear the similar stories from you all. Its all pretty scary.

EBONY__Thank you for explaining why we need to go through a mini meno.

WENDY__ it seems like we are on a similar calendar. I started down reg on april 7th as well. How are you doing concerning your shots?

My thoughts are with you all- sending you baby dust.
