Deidre, you were right about twins! Congatulations. I'm sure it's very scary though that baby B was tinier and you couldn't see the heart beat. Be sure to rest a lot, take it easy and take care of yourself Let's hope that baby B catches up and you have good news at the next scan. I'll keep you, and your two babies, in my thoughts and prayers.

Dierdre - that's great news! It really does look fabulous on that screen - I wish my DH could have been there to see it also.

I'm with the other girls - don't worry too much about not seeing the 2nd beanies heartbeat. I don't know a lot about these things, but maybe b/c it's smaller he was difficult to track behind the bigger twin. We will all send lots of good vibes to the little ones - the next scan will go great!

Welcome jamato253, and congratulations! How are you feeling? Are you still giddy with the news???

I can't wait to be 12/13 weeks, and I can tell everyone who'll listen about our little munchkin!!!

Bella.

Howdy all

... well Bella you know you always have an eager audience here  know what you mean about wanting to tell the world though! So fab to hear the scan went well, boy your worse than me ... is 154bpm too high and 9mm too small! NO! Its fine  surely means your going to have an atheletic little wippet!

Welcome to Larisa and Jamato! Seems knicker checking is par for the course, are you squeezing your boobs yet and worrying that your not sleeping 20 hours a day! Hope your enjoying the wondeful news!

Deidre - wishing you the best for the next scan.

Its probably only in the last week, I really am starting to feel a little calmer and actually happy! Up to now I feel like I've been walking on a wire tightrope in pair of dodgy 6" stillettos (2 sizes to small 2 boot).

Saw my m/w yesterday and am booked in for the nuchal scan at 11.5 wks (checking for likely risk factors for downs etc). Are you guys taking the same scan? I wondered about whether to just have viability scan instead. Afterall even if they put me in the highest risk category of 2-4% theres no way I would end the pregnancy anyway, so maybe ignorance is better and would be less worrisome.

So anyone sure of boys or girls yet? I heard that some woman just know from the offset and are seldom wrong when they are sure!

Hope your all well

Hi Ladies,

I took a break from the computer for a view days, well I had my scan and the 2 little ones are heartbeating away..they look fine, 3rd one did not make it. it was just an empty growing sac...my husband's taken me from a working mom to a housewife..I'm trying to get use to it...other than me being sick and feeling awful most of the day..we are fine

I'm so happy for the new comers...welcome

Wow, alot has happened during my break....daly, deirdre, Mel_p, bella-s, krista-A, eminde, and sue-e...well done ladies and congrats on the heartbeats and scans.......all the twins popping up..my nurse informed me that out of 10 transfers 3 turned out to be multiples and I was the only one with triplets at the time...all women ended up pregnant 10 out of 10...March must have been a fruitful and multiply month...hahahaha..Love ya gals and thanks for keeping baby a in your prayers..it was actually baby a that did not make it..I got mixed up..babies b and c are fine
BFP 3/17, 3/29 (3 beanies (4/7/06)Babies b & c heartbeats seen..baby a didn't make it

Hi girls!!!

I need to update my scan date - you know after everything we really should be accustomed to waiting!!! LOL Well I goofed and I would like to blame what I have come to call "mommy brain" (Its seems when you get pregnant you can seem less sharp at times - I suppose since my body is using resources elsewhere) For my due date I was counting the week of my LMP as week 1 - So I am actually 4 weeks as of today (confirmed my HCG is doubling!!! went from 187 to 439) and that means my first scan will be a six weeks on tuesday the 25th of april!!! Please update for me thanks!!! Anyone else feel like they are constantly waiting??

Congrats to all the twins!!! and successful heartbeats (truly emotional isn't it?)

ahart - if I can offer a word of comfort to your two sweet babies - although it always hurts to lose any - consider that maybe that one is now an angel watching over the other two ;)

Hi,
Well I had my first scan today. They saw 1 beanie. They thought it might have been twins at first. The doc said that he did an early scan to make sure it was inplanted well in the uterus. It was! We will go in for our second scan on 4/18 where they will be looking for the heart beat.

Ahart- sorry to hear you lost one baby, but please stay positive. I hope the twins are healthy and cary to full tirm. I know how you feel. I thought I was having twins, but one didn't make it. I am very happy that I have one healthy baby growing inside of me. The doctor says everything looks great!

To everyone who is awaiting a scan a big GOOD LUCK!

Larisa, great news on your scan, well done.

I have got a appointment with the midwife tomorrow, only after i rung the surgery and was told that my next appointment would be a scan at 16 to 20 weeks from the NHS, i told them i wern't happy waiting as i had m/c previously. They then said i could make a appointment with the midwife if i wanted, so will see her tomorrow and try and push for another scan at about 12 weeks. Has anyone else found this? I think we need more support in the early weeks, after what we have been through to get here (rant over).

I have been getting aches and pains, no cramping on my right and left side, i think its my insides growing, but it dosen't half worry me, is everyone else like this?

good luck all

love

Just a quick post I'm afraid!
Ahart - so sorry that one of your beanies did not make it - take care of yourself and the twins.
Sue - My pct just do a viability scan at around 12 weeks but my midwife told me that I'd have to wait weeks past that as they were so busy. So I decided to pay and have a nuchal fold scan and test at 12 weeks (actually 11 + 5 days!!!). It cost £140 and got v. detailed scan, measurements, downs testing and even a dvd. Well worth it! There are various places you can have it done - where are you?

great to see so many fab scans!!!!!

Enjoy!

Hi all!

Sorry for my absence, I've been off the computer for a bit. Not sure if I'm nauseous or have a stomach flu!! Trying to keep up with all the news. Huge congrats to everyone with successfull scans! Much love and blessings to your little triplet Ahart. Glad to hear the other 2 look so great. And yes Sue, I think we have been through alot and a little scan is not alot to ask for!!

Yesterday started off very bleak. Woke up feeling horrible and then even worse after seeing brown blood. I know brown is "OK", but none is so much calmer. Anyway, I called my RE and got in for a scan yesterday. My dh took the day off to wait with me and we were sure it was over. Finally got to the scan and the RE says, "there's the embryo sac...and there's the heartbeat!" The hb was 100-120 and goal for 6 wk and a day is 90 - 113. Size is also right on the mark. We are in shock. After losing 4 pregnancies, this seems like a dream. So I'm resting with my feet up until next week. Have a second scan next Thu because of my poor history, but RE thinks we are 90-95% in the clear.

Happy Easter and hugs to everyone!!

Daly, that is fab news on your scan, congratulations and not long until you get to see him/her again. How far along are you now?

My next u/s isn't til the 10 May, when hopefully i will be just under 14 weeks, i am so excited and yet so scared. I keep telling myself once we get to that 1 and all is well, we can relax a little. At our clinic you dont see the midwife until your in your 25th week, unless you really need to. What happens to monitoring blood pressure etc, these days? I have a booking in appointment at the hospital which is for 2 weeks after u/s.

good luck ladies
