Oh my god, OH MY GOD! Dawn that is such fantastic news! I am so completely thrilled for you!

So, boring practical details - which HPT did you use? Oh, I'm now just so tempted to test tomorrow. But that'd still be a day less than you? I've forgotten, did you have your embies put back in on the Wednesday or the Thursday in the end.

Don't forget to tell Dr Zhu - he'll be so pleased for you!

Lots of love and congratulations

Alison x

Hiya Dawn,

I haven't posted to you before but just wanted to congratulate you and dh on your brilliant news.

I also wanted to ask you a question.I noticed on your thread that you mentioned acupuncture. Could you give me some info on how it worked - did you have it at ET only or was it an ongoing thing ? Do you think it is worth doing and is it expensive ?

Once again congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!

Love

Julie.

Hi Jules, thanks for your message!

I has acupuncture once a week about a week before I started the drugs. I have had it before, but not round a cycle, and didn't like my old practitioner, so when Alison told me she went and she lives near me I went along to her man and he is a real sweetie.

I also got appointments either side of collection and went the day before transfer, but no needles since then. Will be calling again today to go back for treatment to prevent m/c, and also to curb sickness - just in case! He charges £28 per session, plus the herbs at £18, but only have to get them ever couple of weeks, so the cost does mount up, but if you enjoy it and it helps it's nothing in the scheme of things.

I LOVE acupuncture (even more now!!!), feel fantastic after a treatment, and they basically work on cleansing the liver, which in chinese medicine is a major cause of infertility, and getting the energies balanced, especially in the womb, so it is an inviting environment for embies to stick around - so to speak. I was also taking 2 lots of chinese herbs (in tablet form), also concentrating on the yin and yang, 8 of each 3 times a day - you get used to it!!

If you live in the Bromley area of Kent, Dr Zhu practices in both Bromley and Beckenham. If you would like his number please let me know.

Alison - Does that cover most of it?

I have also been taking a baby aspirin each day, and Fertility Plus multi-vitamin and Linseed Oil capsules, and generally just eating well (except chocolate and the occasional fish and chip supper!!).

I HAVE been more relaxed this time round, I am sure the acu helps with that, who knows though, it's still a lottery.

Praying everyone else gets the news they deserve, and look forward to hearing from you!

Lots of Love and ++++'s

D x

Hi Dawn,

Thanks for the reply re acupuncture, one more quick question then I'll stop harrassing you! Do you only take the linseed oil % baby asprin during a cycle of treatment ? I've just finished my first ICSI treatment and not due to start my second for a couple of months. Could I take the linseed oil & baby asprin unbetween ?

Love to you, dh & your embie(s)!!!!

Julie
