AF after BCPs and Lupron

Hi,

It is great to read and share in this forum.

I started my lupron on 3/30. Today is my 10th day of lupron. I started my BCP on 3/16 and stopped it on 4/5. My nurse told me that I would get my AF after I stop my BCP. But It has been 2 days since I stopped my BCP and I still did not get my AF. I am a little concerned. Can I still expect my AF after a day or two, did this happen to somebody, please help.

HI,
Yes you can expect it in a few days. I started BCP 5 days ago and i am starting Lupron on Easter Sunday then stopping the BCP that Monday and they told me I will get my AF about 4-5 days after i have stopped it.
Try not to think about it then it will come. Its always when you want it to come it doesn't. goodluck to you! JESS

It took about 3 days for AF to arrive after I stopped the pills. Don't panic. It'll come!!

Jess,

I still did not get my AF. It has been 6 days since I stopped my BCPs and it is going to be my 14th day tomorrow with Lupron. I am not sure what is happening, I am just waiting for my AF. I hope it comes soon. I guess I have to wait and see. I am wondering if anybody else was in my situation and then got AF ? If you were let me know, may be I feel better.

I have not yet started my other meds, since I am waiting for my AF.

Chunchun,
I never got my AF. The nurses said that it is not uncommon that you do not get it when you combine the BCP with Luperon. I thought maybe it was coming and I had a VERY little spotting, but nothing more than a wipe. So after 14 days of Luperon, I had blood work done to see if I was suppressed and I was at a level of 9, so I started the stims. I was expecting this very heavy bleed, and got nothing. It was awesome.

Hi all,

I finally got my AF on thursday. After waiting so anxiously I finally got it. I have to wait and see how it goes with my stims now. Hope it all goes well !

I had a cyst, probably that is why my AF got delayed. In my next u/s hopefully it will be gone !

Hi,
I had my u/s and blood work to see if I Could start on stims ( my day 2 of AF today).
The cyst in my rt ovary continues to linger on and is big enough for the Docs to delay my stims for a few days more. The plan of action is to continue the Lupron and aspirate the fluid out of the cyst ( happens to be a clear one) by wednesday next.
I may start on my stims from Friday next ( day 9/10 of AF).

My concerns are :
Is the delay in starting on Stims ( day 10 after Af as against day 4-5) a serious issue? I am told since I wil be on Lupron it just does not matter.

Does fluid aspiration of cyst have any bearing on the stims and meds and the cycle itself?

If you have been through this or know about, Please share.
