Good for you, Mitzy! How terrible you felt everything! Was it very painful? Do you know how many days the embryos will be left before being put back? I wish you all the luck in the world, you should be proud of yourself.

Mitzy,

Sorry to hear it was a painful procedure. I guess they can't increase the meds once they start?
It is a good choice they used ICSI.
Hang in there and we'll pray it turns out well.

Good luck!

OH MY WORD - CAN'T BELIEVE HOW MANY PEOPLE WE HAVE ON THIS THREAD - IT'S GREAT...! WELCOME ALL NEWCOMERS.!

Was suppose to go for some blood work this morning, do paper work etc for my tmt, but I had a meeting early morning, so couldn't attend, I am now going tomorrow lunch, I will also have a scan, just to make sure I don't have any cysts or anything before we start tmt. OH MY GOD, ONLY 3 WEEKS, I AM GETTING ECXITED NOW................

Image

Carolyn - It's Lucy, not Lisa, but don't worry, you can call me Lisa if you like.? Nice to hear you've had a nice weekend.! This will be my 3rd Cycle that I am paying for, I thought my PCT would at least give me one free go, but no they won't.!

Natalie Anne - Great to hear you had a god time in Oxford. The first injection is always worse isn't it. Then after a few we're like natural's. Good Luck with the rest of them.

Wendy - You keep on being nice to your husband, you don't want any nasty bruises on you now do you.? I've added your scan on Hun.

Brenjamie - Welcome to the thread, Good Luck with your ER and ET, I hope you get lots of nice eggs.! Keep us updated.

Sally - Hi Hun, hope all's ok with you.? Good on you for going for a run.!

Sita - Welcome to the thread - Just want to wish you lots of luck with your tmt.

Mitzy - Sorry you felt everything, 6 is good, your embies will soon be back where they belong...! Well done Hun... be proud.!

Dania - Welcome to the thread - You should expect some bruising, lots of women get them due to injections. Anyway just want to wish you lots of luck with your tmt.

A big hello to everyone else, sorry I haven't posted personals to everyone but can't keep up now as we're growing everyday..... iI do apologise though.

Sita-Welcome to the board. Good luck with your cycle.

Mitzy-sorry to hear you could feel everything. Happened to me the first time round, second time they increased the meds and I was sleeping all the way through.
Fingers crossed for a big fat fertility-party in the lab tonight.
ICSI is definitely the safer option. Take care and hopefully a speedy recovery.

DaniaBB-welcome to the board. I started my Buserelin only a day before you on the 6th.
Are you doing injections in your tummy or leg?
Small bruising is nothing to worry about. Good luck.

Luby-good luck with your scan.

Right girls, sorry if I have managed (yet again) to forget someone…don’t mean it. Have to shoot…don’t want to miss Eastenders

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't written in a few days but I have been an ABSOLUTE mess!! I started my stimmies on Sunday, April 9, and the Gonal-F shot wasn't bad, but the Repronex burned so bad! I started crying and it seems like I just stopped this morning!! (Exaggeration ofcourse) Anyway, I am so much better this morning, darn hormones!!

CarolynB: The nurse smiley face is so cute and it really made my day!

Mitzy: You felt everything?!?! I'm sorry! I'm hoping to be heavily sedated. Have you heard from the clinic yet?

I haven't had a chance to check all of the posts yet....my goodness there are a lot of us! Welcome to all of the new ladies. I have an appointment tomorrow to do bloodwork and Friday is my first scan since I started the "STINGING STIMMIES" Hopefully, my ovaries are showing off and stimulating nicely! Positive thoughts and baby dust to you all!

Hi Missprissy,

Im sorry you have had a bad few days, it will be worth it in the end, and I am glad to hear your feeling better :D

I heard from the hospital this morning, they could only use 2 eggs using ICSI, and only 1 embie has made it, they have given it a 90% chance of making it to transfer tommorrow. Yes I felt everything, and I won't be going through that again, but if I get that 1 little embie inside me, then its been worth it.

Thinking and praying for you all :D

Hi all.

Missprissy-really sorry to hear you had a bad time. Glad you are feeling better now.

Mitzy-shame only one little embie made it...but then...it only takes one doesn’t it? All the best for your transfer tomorrow. Will be thinking of you!!!

Hope everyone else is doing fine. Started having hot flushes today, which I never had before but never mind.

Take care everyone!

Hi everyone

I have just returned from my EC and it went well. They got 8 eggs. Now it is wait till Friday and see how they look. We are doing 3 day transfer with AZH. Procedure went well but I get pretty sick from the anesthesic. So felt yucky alot of the day. Am better now. I don't remember much of this one either so I was pretty out of it.

MissPrissy -- Are you doing SubQ shot of Repronex? I had similar trouble with those a few years ago. They told me to switch and do them IM and this time I just stayed away from the Repronex. Lots of stinging with it and I would get really red and welted up from them. Good luck!!

Good luck to everyone else. Sorry I haven't had time to acquaint with all of you and am really wiped out tonight, so I'm off to bed. Have a good week everyone!!

Hi gilrs

Sorry can't do personals, just popped on before I set off to work, thought I'd fill you in:

I went to the hospital yesterday for my blood work doing and they did a scan to make sure evrything was OK, well it wasn't I have a BIG cyst (30mm) the nurse said this may go on its own but then again it may not. I was so p'd off, if its not one thing its another, so now my tmt may have to be put off until this cyst has gone, they won't drain it until you'd had 3 bleeds from them detecting it. So now I've got to have another scan on day 1 of AF if the cyst has gone then I start the buserelin and get on with it, but if it hasn't then I'll have to wait until next AF and see if it has gone. The nurse did say they would go ahead with tmt if it has shrunk, but it will have to be smaller than 10mm. I am not feeling very hopeful now, I still have to order my drugs today though just in case. I was getting so excited as well.

Poor you, Luby. I know how it feels for you to have to suddenly slam on the brakes. Its so frustrating. Just think - it gives you more time to do this right.

Hello fellow down-reg buddies Wendy and Natalie - how's it going so far? I have a horrible chemical taste in my mouth and vague 'pressure' headaches. I seem to be on a different regime from everyone - I have just had one injection, which is long-lasting and don't have to have anymore till stimming begins. I might have to stop watching TV too, since yesterday I had to fight back tears and leave the room because of a programme on how elephants in Thailand managed to escape the Tsunami....

Good luck with your scan today Carolyn! Let us know how you got on.

Mitzy - how are you doing? I hope there's no pain from the EC. You must be getting excited.... Isn't your ET today?

Brenda - good luck with your transfer too. Keep us posted.

Well, must get back to studying....

Hi everyone

been feeling terrible. i had bad stomach ache on sat and then i started buserelin on sunday. since then the stomach ache has been so bad i've been to see my gp who thought it might be appendicitis!! i was gutted cos that would mean abandoning this attempt. went back today cos still in pain and saw another doctor who reckons it's just a really bad reaction to the buserelin even though i didn't react like this on any of my other attempts.

got all the other usual side effects though - hot flushes, nausea, headaches and dry skin.

hope everyone else is doing ok and looking forward to a good Easter break.

Hi ladies,

Well I am back from my ET and I now have my little embie on board, I was so emotional, I felt myself welling up and thanked them all, and told them,it had taken 18 years, and I never thought I would have got this far.

Luby - Sorry to hear about the cyst, lets hope it shrinks or disappears quickly.

Brenda - congrats at 8 eggs, you should get some good embies from them. fingers xxx

Wishing and praying for everyones dreams to come true.
