hi girls,
I was too busy with my work lately, think i hav missed quiet a lot!

sita
good to know that you and your mum are ok now. I can truly understand how you feel about your father, time will heal everything dear take care. I have not been eating healthy, in fact worst than before-no time to eat that fast food too. May be i m just too lazy to eat (i really hav this prob from young, i hate to eat as if its a waste of time). I was ver sad abt this habbit during the past 3 days, i hated myself for being like that.

Tina,
Great to know that you have found a part time job, you will be one busy woman with a part time job and studying at the same time. I used to work full time when i studied my UG and it was really tuff. Now I m working kinda part time (not really part time but more like flexi) I should work min of 6 hours a day but will be incharge of everything same as a full timer. the good thing abt this job is i can take time of easily if i want to see doc, but the bad thing is i will have to carry home a lot of work.

Tina, where did you do your first cycle? India or US? cos u mentioned u mil was around.

tina,
Do you cook at home or eat outside? I cook 2 or 3 times a week but didnt get to cook for the past 2 weeks. singapore is very famous for food, its very easy to eat out here, you can get a variety of food ranging from asian to western but i still prefer home cooked food (i miss my granny's cooking :( ).

Abt the excersie, I went for yoga class for the first time yesterday. It was really very relaxing and refreshing. I used to jog regularly when i was staying in MILs place (cos i hav to cook everyday and eat regularly) but now i m not very energetic like before, feel very lethergic and weak always. thats why i started this yoga, it is also believed that yoga helps to increase the chances of conception, lets try. For yourself, try to find a partner to walk or jog with you (how abt DH?) so that you will not give up.

Hi Ladies,

Just had my 20 week scan yesterday and my 2 girls Aleisha and Makayla are fine - I think now I can start buying things for them. I am finding it so hard to sleep at night as my belly is so big!

Smita
I am so happy for you and hope your enjoying being a mum :)

Anyway I am Jennifer, 33, originally from The Philippines. I live in England.DH is 36.

We have so many superstitions in the Philippines but I agree eating lots of Mangos is highly recommended :)

Wishing you all the best

Jen

Hi Jen,
CONGRATULATIONS on your double miracles. It is my dream that I have a boy & girl pair of twins.Though twins are hard work,I think going though ivf again for the next child is more hard work emotioanlly.I even have already thought up names for them. All they need to do is arrive.!But I'll be lucky if i have just one kid .I see you went through many ivf cycles. But are successful in the end.You can give the rest of us hope to see our dreams through also. What is IVF/BT IF YOU DON'T MIND ME ASKING?
Love,Tina

Hi Tina,

What names have you thought of?

I am sure a testament that it does happen in the end, you just have to believe in it and yourself :)

BT = IVF with Blastocysyt Transfer on day 5

Wishing you all the best

Love Jen

Hi Tina, Chel, Jen and Shez,

Glad to see all of you are writing and keeping in touch. It was great to read all the comments.

I have been busy getting everything ready for my cycle which has just started. I have had 3 sessions of accupuncture and it has helped me to get my period on time. I have just started injecting Buserline (the down regulating medication) and I will get a scan date soon. Hopefully everything should go well this time .. I am a bit nervous !!

Thanks for all your kind words and support with regards to issues I had with my mother. Things are better now and will hopefully remain the same.

Tina, I agree we should try and get fit. I went to the gym on Saturday as well. I think I must go for walks as well with DH. Let's try and keep motivating each other. Congratulations with your new Job !!

Chel, pls try and eat well. You will need to build your stamina esp when you go through the procedures and take the medication. I too try and cook 2/3 times a week and keep food in the fridge for a few days each time. This saves time and it means that DH and I don't eat junk food as we used to before. Yes, I too think Yoga is really good especially the breathing exercises.

Jen, good to see you have joined us. Congratulations with your babies !! I hope everything goes well as planned. I am interested to know what Blastocysyt Transfer is and how this procedure works. Pls excuse my ignorance.

Shez, How are things with you ? Hope you are well. Have you started acupuncture ?

Shall close now girls... until next time take care ...

Love,
Sita

hi all,
Sorry i was kinda busy lately. Nice to see the thread back in the first page again.

sita,
Thanks for the info on food, i will try and eat healthy (but soo difficult for me as i m always very tired after work to cook). I m trying to apply visa for my mum to come and stay with me but lots of problem coming up and till now didnt get it, so sick of it.
wow, you hav started already, i m excited for you and keep fingers crossed so that everything will go on smoothly.

Tina,
how's your walk going? do you do it everyday? my first yoga class last week went well, i felt very relaxed esp the breathing and stretching. However, the instructor said i m too stiff and hav to change my sitting posture and work. since the last lesson i m having a very bad low back pain, not sure if i had sprained any muscle there. I'll be going for my first acu on coming sat, heard its very painful. How long does each session last?
Chapati sounds great, i cant eat a lot of whole meal and milk as i hav gastritis problem but egg is ok for me, thanks for the tips.

Jen,
Welcome to the thread! your story really gives me a lot of PMA........BIG CONGRAT TO U!

Oops! need to go and watch american idol now, see u all again soon

love all

Hi Chel,
Don't worry about the accupuncture. It doesn't hurt at all, atleast mine didn't.I didn't even know when she inserted the needles. They are real thin so you won't even feel them.Once she inserts the needlesmy doc, leaves it in for 30-45 minutes.I just lie there and relax. She sometimes switches on a heat lamp and it feels so nice and warm.Only Her price is very cold and shocking! Hope your mom gets her visa soon .
Take care Tina

Hi Girls,

Good to read all your posts. Tina , Chel & Shez, hope you are keeping well. Welcome to this thread Raina.

I had a busy easter break and now back to work. I had my DH's family over for a meal and was so exhausted at the end. Thank God it is a short 4 day working week !

Thanks for all your support and encouragement girls. I am now taking my medication and got a scan date on the 3rd of May. I actually almost called off my whole IVF cycle on Sunday after I had a row with my DH. I feel as if the world is closing in on me. I am not sure why ? It may be the medication that is making me so irritable. My DH then called my MIL and I was so annoyed. She actually helped to resolve issues in the end but I am still annoyed with DH for getting MIL involved with our arguement.

I am not sure whether I need some counselling or theraphy. I think it may also be due to the frustrations DH and I have about not having children ? Sorry to write to you about this. I feel you are the only girls I can tell my feelings too. I feel quite depressed at times and feel disgusted with life and have so much anger in me. Will appreciate your advise on how to deal with these emotional issues.

Tina, I am sure you must be very busy with your training and clasees. Wish you all the very best. I am sure you will be successful in all you pursue as you have such a good heart. Buserlin has been OK so far but I do feel quite tired at time.

Chel, Hope your mother's visa gets sorted out quickly. Try to keep eating healthy my dear. Even if you have convenience food, try and eat lots of salads. Glad to hear that your like Yoga. Hope you back is better now. Good luck to you as well. Are you looking forward to your next doc's appointment ?

Raina, you are lucky to have all the support from your family. It is a blessing. My in-laws are actually not that bad but I feel I can not trust them enough to tell them about IVF. Only my MIL knows about this. If my FIL knew about my IVF , all my realtions will also know !! :)

Shall close now girls .. must get some sleep as it is late. Until next time take care of yourselves.

Lots of love,
Sita
