Hello all and happy easter to everyone, I hope everyone is doing fine, its so great to see good news for all of us! You all deserve it so much.

Anyone seen the new book by Lennart Nilsson called "Life", which has the most incredible and amazing photos of conception and embryonic development in there, if you guys are in a bookshop its totally worth looking at, its unreal. These photos really are so amazing. Never felt able to look at stuff like that before, so was a most enjoyable bookshop browse

Sue, that really suprises me about the clinic, No midwife until week 25? I guess thats a norm over there is it? Even so for some woman, with particular backgrounds where its so much more important to have access to support, Im suprised thats the norm. Glad that you managed to get in for an earlier scan though, I should think so!

My next scan is at 11 weeks 5 days. I am wondering if we are going to see a perfect little minature baby in there with arms and legs waving around! It seems impossible! At the same time, I have all the same nerves as the first time scan that I am going to discover something is wrong. :?

Am otherwise feeling fine, nausea seems to be wearing off slightly, but am comforted that every morning the smell of my most precious of drinks - coffee, now seriously makes me want to ****. Also have the hunger of an elephant now every hour on the hour! Still getting twinges and cramps, m/w assures me all normal!

I hope everyone else is doing well

Hi Girls! Sorry I have been in Italy and our flat there is like camping...just an air mattress, electricity and running water. Needless to say we slept horribly the entire week on the air mattress...I needed all day yesterday to lie on the couch and do nothing.

Congrats and welcome to the recently pregnant! Try to enjoy the time...easier said then done. Also looks like we have had lots of good news.

My m/s has gone away a bit (knock on wood)...week 6 and 7 I really suffered from nauseau, now I am able to eat food rather then just crackers. I had a scan last Monday at 7w3d, and everything looked good and normal. I have another scan next Monday at 9w3d...my doc is keeping a good eye on me :D We have the nuchal (sp?) scan at week 13.

Dumb question...but what is a midwife for? I don't think we have them in Germany...well we have them after the baby is born to show you how to breastfeed and take care of the baby but I don't think you meet up with them until a couple of weeks before the due date.

Happy spring time 8) 8) (finally turning warming in Germany after a huge snow storm last Tuesday!)

Hello everyone - I still can't believe I can post here. I just got my BFP on 4/13 and, according to what paperwork says, I should have 1st scan on 5/11 but i am not 100% sure on that. My HCG level from this morning was 957 which the nurse said was excellent so I am feeling pretty good!

I have been reading over your posts - I am so excited to be going thru this with you all. Good luck! :)

Welcome Lisa,

scan time sounds about right - between 6-7 weeks - so like I said it is like being on the 2 week wait again - best advice is enjoy your pregnancy - unfortunately not all of the things with pregnancy are enjoyable but I am sure you will take them in stride....I get nauseaous but I don't generally throw up but I get the worst constipation....

Hi Lisa and a big congratulations :D :D :D I agree with Jamato that not every experience is lovely...but in every way well worth it!! I had my first scan at 5w3d....but every clinic is different...after my second scan I graduated from my RE and am now seeing my ObGyn who is doing scans about every 2 weeks. I thought I would get away with not feeling sick...until the 6th week hit and I have suffered from naseua (no throwing up) and pure exhaustion...on the bright side I rub my belly every day and talk to the little bean...oh and now have gorgeous hair and skin! (must be due to hormones and vits :D )

Hi all... :) I'm been apprehensive about joining you on this thread coz my hcg levels were relatively low (only 378 yesterday, 19 day post EC).... but now I've had about 4 hcg tests and the levels have slightly more than doubled each time... I feel slightly more confident... but still keeping my fingers crossed! Hope to be able to complete my journey here with all you lovely ladies! :)

I have no idea when my 1st scan will be... and what to expect... i'll keep you informed! :)

Hi all,

I just came back from my 2nd scan. The doctor was mot able to see a heartbeat :( He said that this is not a viable pregnancy. He gave us another week, but seems sure it probably won't help. He has scheduled a D&C for Tuesday. I wish all of you to have very healthy pregnancies and cary to tirm and welcome your little bundles of joy soon. As for me I think I am done trying for a while. I just need peace! Good luck to all of you. I really enjoyed being a part of your group. I will be praying for all of you.

Hi Ladies

As some of you have seen on other threads I had a BFP with low levels.
Today I went back to the clinic and my consultant said that though thet aren't great she's going to treat this as a normal BFP.
So I've decided to join you - whether this works or not this way I don't miss out completely on this fase of things!
My scan is on the 27th April.

So sorry Larissa that your yourney was so short. :( You're in my thoughts. Image
