I'm crying and shaking, I've just done two tests and they're most definitely .. POSITIVE! After hysterics (had to gulp down a glass of water as my throat went dry), I now have this thought that it must be something to do with the pessaries residue getting into the urine or the HRT tabs... I know this is silly as it wouldn't be used would it? I cannot believe this, I've checked them again and the lines are still there... I'll do another Clear Blue one tomorrow as well.

My DH is away, just rang his mobile and the voicemail's on - so you guys may be the first to know (if you're stupid enough to be up this early!)

I've no major symptons apart from v. sore boobs and v. minor niggles down below, and to be honest I've lost my appetite but think it's been down to nerves over the last few days (I've got to be careful as I'm almost underweight which worries me). Oh please let this be the 'time' for me.......

Cannot believe it Kathryn and Susi - what is going on! Can't blame the water as Susi's in Portugal! This was our first frozen embi transfter - three were put in (gulp).

Thank you, thank you for all your words yesterday, I quickly looked at this site last night and it reduced me to tears, it really means so much to have fellow-IVFer support, no-one can ever imagine how dreadful it all is.

Nicola x

Thank you so much for your messages. I've calmed down considerably now, had a long bath, kept off the site all day and been outside in the sunshine most of the time.

I had all these jobs planned and then didn't know what to do with myself ,so got my Mum and brother over (had to share the news face to face with someone!!) Bless em they helped do the lawn and cut the hedges (can you believe we had a letter from the council telling us our front hedge was dangerous!!! I was seething, it was no way that bad. As you can imagine, hedge trimming hasn't exactly been the top of our priorities over the last few weeks - W*****rs!

I couldn't help myself getting involved in the chores, although my Mum kept telling me off, so hope I've not over done it. I did start to get a headache.

I forgot to mention before, but last Monday night I was gazing out of the window as it was a beautifully clear sky with lots of stars and I saw a shooting star!!!! I joked to DH that it must be an omen!!!! I've never seen one before. (Then again, we've also seen a single, very mankey looking old Magpie..... So perhaps I don't want to believe in omens!)

I'm going to test again on Monday morning before ringing the clinic I think. It is still too hard to believe. I'm going to run out of the cyclogest pessaries by Tuesday, so will need to get a prescription sent to me urgently. Does anyone know if you can get them over the counter????

Oh please let us all get through the next few weeks OK. There's such a long way to go, you just don't want to get carried away. I'm not going over to the 'other side' till the two week scan stage.

Sarah - good luck with your FET, it's an absolute doddle physically (no better mentally, as you've probably seen!!) compared to the full on IVF/ICSI.

Kathryn - big fingers crossed for you, it's just got to be OK, lines are lines and bleeding is so common.

Nicola x
Wowwee Nicola!! That's incredible!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH!!! That must have been a great phonecall to your DH when you got through to him!

Don't work too hard - it made me laugh to think of you gardening on a day like this!

I know what you mean about getting through the next few weeks - I wish we could skip forward a little to feel that bit more secure. However, we must believe the fantastic news and be as positive as ever!!

There's quite a few of us who had 3 embies put back aren't there? There might be a population explosion next April!!

Congrats again - so so happy for you and your DH

Lots of love,
Claire x

Nicola and all,

I think it is going to take a while for the reality to sink in with us all isn't it, and like you Nicola, I am not going to sign on to the other side until after my scan Tuesday week, it just feels too soon.

Can't get used to DH and Mum not letting me do anything, even though it is lovely they won't even contemplate letting me hoover (as we live in a Town House, stair heaven!), or mowing the lawn, but I won't complain!!

My hospital (Lister) only supply cyclogest until test day, and then their theory is that your body should be producing enough progesterone to support the pg, I hope so (panicking now), but getting all the symptoms, so something must be going right. Boobs are really heavy and incredibly sore, and getting the sickness a bit more each day, at the moment I find all these things comforting, but a month down I may change my mind slightly - but I doubt it!!

Dreading getting sickness on the train into work each day though, as it is packed, so nowhere to hide, hey ho, the trials of pregnancy!

Kathryn, any more news from your hospital? Hope your'e doing OK!

Best of luck and JCB +++++ vibes being sent to those of you who are still yet to test.

Another beautiful day today spent in the garden, enjoy!

D x

Nicola,

Silly me - I've found your message now, after saying in the new thread that I couldn't see it (my head's all over the place!)

You sound so excited, I'm so so pleased for you!

Dawn - don't worry about the pessaries - King's say the same thing, and I used my last one last night - so am hoping AF will stay away! And am on knicker patrol today. Can also relate to your worries about the train - I get a packed train to work and would be mortified to puke on it! God, I hope I have to worry about that soon!!!

Beck x
