I tried it this cycle for the first time. I enjoyed going and found it relaxing. I started going regularly about a week before stimming as I had high FSH. That came down from 13.8 to 9. I had a session just before EC and then one about 4 days after ET. Waiting to test so let's see if it helps.

If not I certainly found that it calmed me a little.

I read about a clinic in London that actually offer it as part of treatment, so I think it may be beneficial to some.

Good luck.

Hi Emma - Try doing a seach on acupuncture within this site...there were lots of discussions previously with insight into TCM. I did acu after my first failed IVF. I got naturally pregnant in Sept. (unfortunately m/c) and got pregnant on my 2.IVF. I truly believe I wouldn't have gotten pregnant without acu. I had some very serious issues only explained by TCM on why I could not get pregnant. It took my body almost 6 months with acu & herbs to become 'balanced'. It is not an overnight cure so if you are considering acu I would start before your next treatment and try to find a doctor which specializes in IVF patients and/or infertility.

Besides helping getting pregnant - acu helped me in other areas such as PMS and getting anxious....so either way I totally recommend it.

Emma,

Hi my name is Kristine and I am an acupuncturist in southern California, also i am a patient of IVF.

I just wanted to let you know that Acupuncture can help increase chances by nearly 30-40% per IVF cycle. There is one thing that i definitly recommend you look for in an acupuncturist , make sure that they follow IVF protocol and that they are 100% familiar with all that is involved with the cycle, especially post transfer of embryo's.
IF you have any questions feel free to ask and I will answer them as much as i possibly can.

Goodluck,
 Kristine
