Male factor(azoospermic) Success stories.....

Post by sa_ra »

hi everybody,
i m sara n a new user of this site its really a great relief to know that u r not alone in this long journey.
Its my first cycle of icsi but unfortunately i ll have to wait FET due to risk of hyperstimulation. My DH is azoospermic but his TESE was successful n we hav 15 embies frozen.I m anxiously waiting for my embryo transfer n much worried of all next procedure. Docs told me that they will do natural FET.
I m just wandering if nybody got same problem? wot is success rate of being pregnant with azoospermia....

plz discuss with me i think i ll go crazy in this situation...

xxx Sara

Hi Sara

We are about the same age as you two, and it looks like the same problem. We've just been through our first attempt, and I am now 23 weeks pregnant!! We couldn't believe how lucky we were for it to have worked fist time.

They collected 19 eggs from me, but only 3 of those fertilized. We had 2 put back.

I know it's an unbelievably long and difficult journey. We just kept aiming towards our next appointment and tried to stay as postive as possible (which actually, sometimes seemed impossible!

Anyway, just wanted you to hear of at least one nice story. Best of luck with it all, and stay strong. Remember we're all here for you to help the best we can.

Lots of Love

My dh is azzospermic too, but we are using donor sperm.... I wish u luck with your FET... I would imagine if u are ok, it'll be natural....

Good Luck xx

hi
thnx Lavender1 n NickiMark for replying. lavender1 i think ur hubby was't azoospermic so u were lucky but i m feeling positive after reading ur success story.
NickiMark i really feel for u. It is hard isn't it? Docs also gave us option of donor sperm but i want my hubby's baby so v went for TESE n it was successfull but still i cant say nything about the quality of embroys. So hope for the best n prepare for the worst.....

My DH is azoo also. we did IVF/ICSI with MESA to retrieve sperm last fall (BFN) and Saturday is my test date from FET#1. They will probably recommned ICSI to you due to lower conc of sperm that are extracted surgically (versus the shoot it in a cup option). Do you know the reason for dh's azoo? My DH has CUAVD so he was producing sperm they just couldn't get out, thus the MESA. When azoo is all you are dealing with, and they can get sperm out, then odds of success with IVF/ICSI are very good, sometimes better than 50% depending on the clinic. If male factor only, it makes the process easier (you can do natural fet, unmedicated, like i did, since you o regularly). Natural fet is very very easy. success rates are hard to find since not many are done, but we were told 30% chance.

There are some good azoo boards on fertility friend (US) and a CBAVD board on ivfconnections that are nice communities of people should you want to find folks with exactly the same situation.

Good luck to you!
