Mitzy- thanks for the warm welcome.How are you feeling? Only a few days to go...

Sammy- That's great you got a massage-They're wonderful. I called our insurance company and they told us they cover them at 80% so I'm going to schedule one as well.

Cyot-Your clinic gave you a lot of details concerning your baseline scan.Not my clinic. Only the bare minimum. Not even a blood test.They always seem so rushed. I hope they don't forget anything. So we'll be going for ER a day apart.

Wendy- Hang in there!

Jess-So sorry to hear your uncle is sick and you have to put your tmt on hold. I'm convinced you made the best decision. Dr. Domar says it in her book that sadness affects IVF results.

Prissy- Did you get a confirmation on your ET date?

Carolyn- how are you feeling? How's your belly?Thanks for adding my info to the list. Don't worry- it could mean that your ER will be sooner than you expected. It's getting soooo close- it's exciting.

Lucy- Keeping my fingers crossed that you get good results concerning your cyst tomorrow.

Sally- you and I started stimmies on the same day. You are on the long protocol, right? When is your next scan?

Gail- Welcome! Hope your 2ww is going well so far-Here's a +VE vibe for your little embies!

Well as for me-
I went to get my 1st scan yesterday. They told me every thing is right on schedule. However, they didn't mention any other details. They gave me the Gonal F pens with 225 units per day- which I started last night- so I am officially on track to growing some follies. I have to admit the pen is quite big- looks impressive at first but it hurt less than the other injection.
My DH caught a cold so I haven't been near him and been making him take extra vit. C and some lovely garlic tea(I make it myself) it helps to boost the immune system naturally.

My next scan is the APRIL 28 to check for follies. Expected ER May 1st. I'm getting excited now that it is getting close.

Hello Everyone, hope you don't mind me jumping on board!

We have just begun our first attempt at IVF and i started downregulating yesterday 21st April, . I am on suprecur and we go for our baseline on the 9th May.

Im at times excited and trying to keep a PMA!!! it didn't really sink in until yesterday when i was sitting in the clinic and looking at the box's of meds and i just burst into tears lol

Its 1:14am and i cant sleep at all! maybe thats anxiety or just plain caffene which i swore to give up, so just incase im going to buy some decaffe first thing.

This thread is a wonderful idea and i look forward to chatting to some of you soon and i can tell you a bit more about me! Good luck ladies and love to all

Hey everyone!

I Have my second blood test for HCG on Monday. I am sitting around waiting for it. If its over 2000 i get to schedule a scan.. I am really waiting to find out if I am having twins or not.. Im really nervous about it. But I feel bad complaining about that kind of problem.. I should just thankful that I ended up pregnant but the truth is.. I feel really scared about possibly having twins.. I didn't actually realise I felt this way until afyer the fact.. When they nurse said she would bet her left arm that I was pregant with twins.

I have 2 kids now that are ages 12 and 11, Twins would be okay my husband would be really excited. I think its just me freaking out.. So im going to blame it on the hormones.

Woke up early so thought that I'd leave dh asleep and chat with my cyber buddies instead. So pleased that I found this site & all of you.

Danielle - TWINS - sounds totally exciting but scarey all at the same time rather like this whole treatment process. I guess none of us really worries about the twins outcome as we are all so desperately praying for just the one rather than tmt cancelled or BFN. You are strong & you will cope. Just the next stage on this journey. Sounds like your dh will be supportive which is absolutely what we all need. Try to enjoy being pregnant and not get too stressed out. Good Luck for Monday. Just think how far you have successfully come already.

Lisa - i really really hope that the cyst has now gone for you. Let us know later.

Sarahface. WELCOME. I'll add all your dates to our list. Good Luck with all your treatment. This board is great so if you have questions ask away. I love coffee. Cut back a huge amount - be careful that gave me headaches at the start as well. Now drinking decaff when I am desperate but trying hard to drink herbal teas and loads of water. It is what all the ladies and our clinics recommend. Very best of luck. The injections do get easier every day.

Cyot - having a nurse assigned to you is absolutely great. Drugs have made me feel pretty tired all the way through. Found that I have just gone with it and enjoyed going to bed before 10pm for a change. Good luck for your next bloods.

Prissy - really hoping that you are laying down and taking it very easy. You are the nurse!

Dania - My tummy is pretty tender - thanks for asking. I figure that is pretty much par for the course after 4 weeks of burselin and 10 days of stimmies. Drank so much water yesterday that it made it feel HUGE! Given the schedule that they have given me I could be doing ER by Thursday. But I have tried to focus just one step ahead so that is 2nd stimmies scan plus bloods on Monday. How are you feeling? Will update the list for your next dates.

Everyone else - hope that you are having a lovely weekend. Sun shining here so may be will go out for the day with dh so we can focus on other things together.

Let me see if I can help a little. Am on the two injections a day also for the last 10 days and running out of sites that are not bruised/sore

I have read on here that some of the ladies suggest some ice on the injection site for like 20 minutes beforehand and/or a warm hot water bottle afterwards.

I was doing all the pen injections in my tummy (had read that they could be more effective) but my tummy was so sore all yesterday that I put it & burselin in my leg this morning. It hurt more going in but was less sore during the day. I use the side of my leg - quite high up.

Have also read that it is good to look for areas where the skin is whiter rather than pinker. Understand that there are less blood cells there so can hurt less.

Hope that this helps a little. You can do it. Now you are on the 2 injections per day then you know that you are getting closer to ER/ET.

Hey Ladies. Sounds like it's going pretty good for most of us besides the waiting.

I finally started my Lupron today. My dad who is a nurse taught my little sister who just got accepted to nursing school how to give me the shot and she did a pretty good job.

I just have a question. I came home at 8:30 after the shot this morning and slept until 2:00 pm and now it is 3:20 and I can barely keep my eyes open. Has anyone else felt this way? I realized that the Repronex was going to have some effect when I start it next Saturday but I didn't think the Lupron was going to effect me much. Just curious if I'll be feeling like this the whole time. I drove 18 hours to get to SC from TX on Thursday and have to do the drive home on Wednesday. Hope I can make it. I sure am exhausted.

Thanks for any side effect info ya'll can help me with. Hope everyone's weekend is going wonderfully. I'm going to lay back down and probably sleep my weekend away. LOL.

Hello everyone! My husband has been holding me hostage!! I had my egg transfer Friday, April 21. They transfered two beautiful Grade 2 embryos. Since then I have been resting, resting, resting. My two week wait will be over May 2. I'm SO excited and nervous! I don't feel anything yet, but it is just Saturday. I see we've grown a little bigger! Welcome Sarahface!

CYOT: If I read correctly you're taking the Repronex mixed with the Lupron? I'm not sure how true this is, but my clinic told me that Repronex and Lupron are not compatible, so they should not be mixed. Maybe that's why your reaction was so bad. Has anyone else mixed Repronex with Lupron??

CarolynB: It's HORRIBLE when medical professionals leave us in the dark!! Sometimes I think they do that to prevent you/us from worrying prematurely, but in fact it only makes things worse! I pray things progress so you may successfully complete this cycle!

Tiffichels: The Lupron made me VERY tired also! Please be careful driving back on Wednesday.

Danielle: Two for the price of one!? Sounds exciting! You seem a little worried about it, so I hope that your outcome is best for you and your family. As always, keep us posted!

Wow I can't belive how busy this thread is, I think it must be the bussiset one..!

Well, good news, my cyst has gone... yippee - so started drugs today and I have to go back on Friday 28th to how things are going.... I am very excited but also very nervous due to what I have experienced with my other two IVF outcomes. Obviously I hoping for a BFP, but I am scared to death that if I do I will miscarry again, I know I shouldn't be thinking like this but I can't it. I don't think I could handle that again.

I am going to be taking aspirin too on this cycle; I start that on day of ET.

Carolyn - You are great updating the list and keeping it all organised, great to hear the follie fairy did her job, I know its very hard but try no worry too much, can’t believe your clinic didn't tell you your numbers. Anyway I'm sure everything will be fine, if they thought you were going to over stimulate they would of stopped stims, my clinic says they like your follies to be around 17mm, I'm sending you another follies fairy, so when you go for your next appointment, your follies will be ready and they'll be sending you for EC


Jess - I am sorry to hear about your uncle, but I think you're doing the right thing, you don't want to be stressed out, IVF is stressful enough with out any added pressure on you. 1month is not long and you can get yourself ready for it. Take Care Hun and remember your next AF will be here before you know it.

Gail - my phoenixes buddy, great to have you on here too. I've replied to you on other phoenixes but I just want to say I'm so proud of you, this is the ONE.......

Dania - Good luck with the injections, personally I can't use the pen, I'd rather just inject the needle. You go back same day as me to see if we how our follies are doing, sending you a follies fairy too.....

Cyot - I am also on 2 injections a day, I am max dose of drugs, sorry I can't help with the pain you’re experiencing, the only thing I get is stinging sensations. I am sorry you’re experiencing, I have never heard of mixing lupron with Repronex, but I'm sure your clinic wouldn't have you doing it if it wasn't correct, if it doesn't get better, go back to them. Good Luck.
