Hi Kathryn, I just read your post - you are probably on your way to the chemist!

I have had a faint line in the past and when I called the nurse they said "a line is a line - doesn't matter how faint it is". If there wasn't any HCG present there wouldn't be a line! Dawn is right - First Response should give you a stronger signal.

Things are looking good though!

Love

Dolly

Come on Kathryn - how long does it take to get to the chemists and back again?! I agree with the others that a line's a line - my -ve there wasn't any line, however faint (and believe me I scanned it very, very carefully!)

Susi - good luck to you too - no AF's a good sign (obviously!) . And don't you dare moan about the weather - London's grey and drizzly today.

Kat - I hope your day's going speedily. When do you get your result?

Thinking of you all

Alison x

Just logged on, and already the suspense is killing me! kathryn, I think as Dolly says this sounds like a positive. If there was no HCG there'd be NO line. Faint IS still a line! I won't say whoopee until we hear from you again, but I really do think the JCBs are going to be celebrating again.

Susi, good luck with the blood test, will be thinking of you until you log back in. Kat, is yours a blood test too? Hope you log in soon.
And Nicola, I'm hoping no news from you means no sign of AF and steely resolve to wait until tomorrow - hang in there!

I don't think I'm going to get much work done today . . . .!
Beck x

Oh my god, I promised myself I wouldn't look at this site till lunchtime, I'm so busy, but couldn't wait. Kathryn, that's such fantastic news, you are so lucky - any line is a positive sign, just hang in there.

Yes I've held out, no sign of AF, not felt very much the last few days except sore boobs, a little twinge this morning which makes me feel it's prob neg. The last time I didn't have many symptons and it was neg and didn't start AF till day 16, so sorry, I still can't feel positive as it could just be a repeat of that.

If it's neg, I've got a jam-packed day to throw myself into (as DH is away now), decorating the living room, as I've not done anything to help DH this last week or so. I might also go to the driving range with my brother (I'm not a golfer, just have a dabble with pitch and putt and really helps to take mind of things). I'm going to put some sparkly in the fridge and may even get some fags (although I don't smoke). I've also got the cinema planned next week with a friend, but need to make sure it's a film that doesn't feature babies in it of course.
Oh, and by they way, I said very positively that this would be the last go, but I think I've changed my mind. I'm going to write to another clinic for info which is nearer (The Essex Fertility Centre - anyone been there?)
Good luck everyone.

Nicola x

God it sure has been a busy morning! Kathryn have you tried again? It does sound positive. I will keep my fingers crossed for you and all the other testers! It is a nerve racking experience. We could go for a record postive week!

Alison, I'm glad to see you have booked yourself and DH a nice holiday, enjoy every minute of it I'm sure next time it will be you. I know how you feel about the wedding too, but just have a few glasses of wine and a boogy and try to put babies out of your mind for a while, then next time you will be totally relaxed and it will happen for you. Every deserves a chance at being a mummy or daddy. I will keep thinking of you, in the meantime enjoy your hols!

Love Jo
xx

Becky, just wondered how you are doing? I wish I was testing today! All these postive results are making me impatient!

How have you been feeling? Any pains or niggles? I have had mild AF like pains that have come and gone since yesterday and my boobs are killing me.

Do you think you will be tempted to test early or will you hold out until Wednesday? I have got loads of pregnancy tests at home (we have been trying to get pregnant since the beginning of time and buying them at the chemist was costing a fortune so I found a website and got 20 for £20 and I have still got about 14 left!) - so I know the temptation will be there for me!

Love

Dolly

Hi Dolly,
I know just how you feel - I REALLY wish test day was here! I'm not so bad at home because I can always find some pointless job to do or TV programme to watch, but at work I'm shockingly unproductive and can't keep off this site!

Symptoms wise, I am so spotty! And hungry for sweet things all the time. And quite tired - I keep going to bed early (although this is partly I think because often DH and me have a gas with a glass of wine in the evenings, but without the wine I can't be bothered - aren't I vile). I haven't really had any cramping or anything though, and no spotting. I think all of the things I've had are pessary related and not pregnancy signs for me! I had unbelievably achey boobs, but they're a bit better at the moment.

I am definitely not going to test until Weds. If I did it early and it was negative, I'd hate to have to go through it twice, and I'd rather know for sure once than have the glimmer of hope well and truly put out the next day. And if it's positive, what's an extra day?! Having said that, I've got three tests in the cupboard, and I have to avert my eyes to ward off temptation! At least after the weekend it'll be nearly here eh?

Keep calm and busy, Beck x

hi everyone,
sorry to take so long in getting back to post!

I did another test, which again had a positive line but feintish, however on reading the instructions I realised I had done it wrong.
It was one of those litmus paper type things and I had dunked it too deep into my wee so it could be giving off a wrong result.

I have since started to bleed. So I do think its over, however my clinic were keen to book me in for a scan in 2 weeks. so we shall see how it goes. She just prepared me for a mc or an ectopic, and told me to rest at home. (however am still at work waiting for dh to return with yet another hpt)
I reckon they must have implanted but decided it wasnt for them.

I dont suppose anyone else recalls anyone bleeding and still being pg?
thanks for all your concern girlies,

lots of love
kathryn
x

hopefully off home shortly so Ill be able to catch up with you susi and kat, and nicola if youve given in, later.
