Hey Prissy and CYOT. Thanks soooo much for the info. I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. So far being tired is the only side effect I can feel. I never did actually go back to sleep but feel like a permenant fixture in front of the TV. I'm not a napper and I usually stay up quite late but it looks like that will change really fast.

Also, CYOT I saw that you are mixing the Lupron and Repronex? That's weird because I take my Lupron for 2 weeks starting today but take the Repronex for 10 days starting next Saturday a whole week later and in totally different shots. I would double check with them on Monday like you said. That just sounds weird to be mixing the two together in one shot.

Thanks again for the advice on the side effects on the Lupron. Day one and many more to go. Keep your eye on the prize, right?

Hi ladies

I haven't heard of mixing the two meds(lupron & repronex). I would check on that. In my past experience I have had some trouble with Repronex. I used it a couple of years ago as a subq shot and I bruised up and got big welts (sp?) around that area. My Dr. told me to switch and do them as IM shots and then I didn't have a problem. I would check on all this. I also gave all my shots in my thighs. On the sides. I did bruise a bit but you have quite a bit of area to work with. Good luck to everyone doing stimmies. It will soon be over!!

How is everyone doing on the 2ww? I see there are quite a few of us testing this week. Let's get lots of BFPs girls!! I am testing on Friday. I am tempted to do a HPT, but have never done one in the past and my Dr. does not advise it because of everything we go through there can be lots of errors, so I'm trying not to get tempted. I have had some slight flu like symptoms this week and I seem hungary alot and am tired. But I think I am probably overanalyzing this. Just want this last week to be over with. Hang in there everyone!! I'm praying for us all!!

Have to get to bed now as I'm exhausted. Sorry I didn't get you all personally. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

Morning Ladies

So much happening. I don't know where to start.

Prissy - Terrific news. I am so pleased for you. Glad that dh is keeping you in bed. Boring but will surely be worth it in the end. Ensure that you are getting loads of Image . I will update our list for your test date.

Lucy - I am so pleased that the cyst has gone and that you are now started. Have read what has happened on other threads so can totally understand why you would be concerned after all you have been through. I am so hoping that everything will go well for you this time. You so deserve it. Image

Jess - Hope that your Uncle is doing ok.

Danielle - hope that the HCG levels are rising nicely for you. How exciting. Image

Brenda - Sammy - Gail - Hope that 2ww is not dragging too badly. Let's hope for a terrific week for you all. Image Image Image

Sarah - hope that you are getting the hang of the injections. You do get used to it. Hope that you are not feeling too many side effects. I found that it varied from day to day.

Natalie - Wendy - nearly at the end of DR. Image Image . Good Luck for scans in next few days. Hope that DR has done its job.

Dania- Cyot - Sarah - Sofia - Hope that stimmies are busy creating loads of follies for all of you. Image Image Image Image

Heather - not been on Lupron but have felt tired & normally got loads of energy. Not everyday but have found the days that I have been on drugs and been to the clinic have been exhausting. Think that it is draining emotionally as well as physically. Be really careful driving.

Sally - hope blood tomorrow shows that you are still all on track.

Beth - Hope that you are on track for ER today and that it will go well for you. Fingers crossed.

Ilona/Mitzy - I am so hoping that you will get the BFP tomorrow that you deserve. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for your news. One last lot of babydust for you! Image

Love & positive vibes to everyone.

Hello everyone - I'm due to start the stimulating drugs after a scan and a blood test on the 25th so I'm hoping I can join your gang :)

Sofia - I was interested in what you said about your clinic having a 50% success rate - I go to a private clinic in London which we chose because of it's ludicrously high success rate (about 58%). Although we were a bit suspicious we thought it was well worth a try! It does seem to be more expensive but so far we seem to be getting our money's worth...

We're doing ICSI and we've been told that after my eggs have been removed and the sperm injected, we'll be called daily with a progress report as to how our embryos are doing. Sounds mad but so cute!

Has anyone else been told to drink crazy amounts of water and milk? I've never really been a water drinker so I've been in training for the past 3 weeks - once I'm on the stimmies I'll have to drink 2 litres of water and 1 of milk a day :o . I can understand the water amount because you don't want to get that hyperstimulation thing, but 1 litre of milk??? Anyone know why I would have to drink so much milk?

Carolyn like Natalie I also got OHSS and if you can do anything to avoid it, make sure you do. The clinic should let you know how many follies you have. I was told cheese was very good for OHSS as well, I don’t need much of an excuse to eat cheese!

Dania hope the injections are going well, I used an auto injector which I found great, still hurt but at least I didn’t need to watch the needle go in!

Sarah hope its all going well and your enjoying the de-caff !

Danie hope you can have you scan soon. Your emotions and hormones must be all over the place. Good luck on Monday with the HCG.

CYOT I injected in my legs, your braver than me I couldn’t face sticking a needle in my stomach. A few months ago a few people on here recommended slapping the area you are going to inject first, it worked for me!! Hope the injections have improved and your ok, its such a stressful time. Sending big hugs to you.

Heather I hope your not feeling so tired now, it could be partly stress that’s made you feel so tired, the build up to that first injection.

Prissy you had your ET 1 day after me but you test 2 days before, lucky thing!! How’s it going are you getting lots of rest?

Lucy good to see you on here, fantastic news about your cyst. This is the one for us both, we can do it. I can imagine how scary it is for you with your previous miscarriages, be positive it WONT happen again. Sending you PMA and a big hug. Im also taking baby aspirin, I started on the day of ET.

Brenda hope your 2ww is going quicker than mine, I think im going backwards!!!! Good luck for Friday, im sure it cant come quick enough. My clinic doesn’t do the bloods I have to do an HPT

Lucybucy could luck with ICSI, which clinic is it that your going to the stats sound fantastic. I think the milk is recommended because its full of protein and good for the follies.

I had horrendous hot flushes all last night and im still having them now, yuck!! Hope it’s a positive sign.

Just realised that I missed about 10 pages - this posting is huge!!

It is so lovely to read all your stories though - Danielle, my eyes welled up when I read you had a +ive result, I am so pleased for you!

I was really interested to read about everyone's experiences on the down-reggers. I wasn't told to expect any side effects except maybe some headaches. I'm sure I've put on a bit of weight though (which could be to do with the amount of milk I'm drinking) and I've also been really weepy this week - though not sure if thats to do with the drugs or not, it could just be me...

GailP - I'm at the ARGC clinic in Wimpole St.

Lots of lovely twinkly vibes to all :D

Welcome LucyBucy Image

I'll have to ask for a transfer to your clinic if there success rate is that good. I am at IVF Hammersmith but they have been pretty good so far but their success rates are nowhere near that high. I hear that it can also depend on the sort of cases they will each take on in the first place. The Zita West bible plus all the ladies on here recommend lots of water each day and also milk for the protein. Can really help avoid you over stimulating. I'll update our list for your dates.

Gail - Thanks for the advice. Really trying to avoid over stimulating. Injected in leg rather than tummy in some vain bimbo attempt for it to be less likely. Mad. Drinking water like it is going out of fashion. Also drinking milk. Think that salmon is good for protein so have been eating that too. Will also send dh out for a lump of cheese - I need no excuse to eat cheese either! Image. Thinking of you on your 2ww. Have read some of your other posts and know that you have had a rough journey. Fingers crossed that it all works out this time.

Plus have been resting all weekend. Feel like a big lazy heaffer lump!!! Image

Well hoping that my trip to clinic tomorrow will yield lots of good sized follies. Been told not to inject before I get there so will have to wait and see what they say.

Love to all.

Hi,

I hope you have all been having a nice weekend :D

Well I have been feeling pretty positive upto today, but I am haveing alot of AF pains, and it is worrying me a tad :?
I am just praying that they will stop, and I don't get any bleeding, I havent had anything as yet not even spotting, so I would dread to get anything at this stage just before my test.
My boobs are still sore, and spent more time spending a penny yesterday and today.

Anyway there is nothing I can do about the outcome, its upto mother nature, all I can do is hope.

All I want is the Af to stay away so I can do the test, so I can say at least have a glimmer of hope.
fingers crossed XXX

Hi Girls,

Hope all of you are having a great weekend. Mine was really relaxing. I have been reading your messages and am inspired by all the positive energy.

I am on my second week of down regs and have my first scan on the 3rd of May. I have had such a horrible week at work and been quite stressed. The acupuncture treatment has really helped to keep the nerves controlled this weekend. Hopefully next week should be better.

Do any of you feel irritable whilst taking the down regs ? Will like to hear your views.

Gail - I just thought the point about cheese was interesting. My GP mentioned that I should stay away from all soft cheese whilst trying to have a baby and going through IVF. He also advised that liver should be avoided. When you meant cheese, did you mean only "hard" cheese.

Wishing you loads of PMA and good luck.. :) :)

Lots of love,
Sita

Hi,

It looks like I didn't manage to get to the finish line, started my AF today, so I am expecting a negative result.
I am gutted but, I will pick myself up, dust myself down, and get on with life and I am glad I gave it a go. Everything was against us, high FSH 17.4, only 1 embie fertilized but, at least I had the dream for a while.
Thanks for the wonderful support you have given me, I will post my negative when its official tomorrow.
Our 18 years of trying have ended now, and I am trying hard to stop the tears as I am writing this.

Hi ladies

Well the side effects have kicked in, my head is killing me...!!

Mitzy/Ilona - I am so sorry to hear your news, I really do feel for you and DH. I'm also sorry to hear that this journey is now over for you. I know we all have to decide when it comes to an end but I know how hard that decision must be. Please take care of yourself Ilona. You have been so strong all this time. You should be proud of yourself.

Sita - I am glad to hear the acupuncture has helped you, I have been feeling very stressed out latelt and was thinking about going for acupucture, I wish I had of done now, I've heard some good stories about it. My GP also mentioned to avoid cheese and liver but only when preg, I think its OK before you go for ET. Take Care and good luck for 3rd May.

Lucybucy - Welcome to the board. I have been told to drink plenty of water, but nobody has mentioned milk to me, every clinic have there own views I suppose don't they, but I'm sure we'll try anything won't we.? I haven't really been much of a water drinker either so its quite hard for me to drink a lot, I do miss my tea and coffee........ Good Luck with the tmt hun.

Just a quick post, my head is killing so going to have a bath and may go to bed early.

Take Care everyone
