2nd trimester bump buddies

im jumping over from the 1st trimester board

thought i would say hi! i am around 17 weeks now..............so confused as to when to see the doc lol, i havn't seen a doc in 4 weeks now. but i think i should go this week....... and hope to have my 18-20 weeks scan soon also:-)

Hi ladies

just popping in quickly to say all is well, and sweetie is very lively and kicking me in the ribs at night now, and sitting on my bladder during the day! Have scan tomorrow so will know more then. The girl who wlaks the dogs has got scarlet fever so I have had to ban her from the house, i put the dogs in the garden, and she picks them up from there!!! now of course I am imagining all the symptoms....

will post update after scan, in the meantime, lovely to hear you are all doing well. Know what you mean about the tops I thought I'd get away with that too, also my biggest swim suit is now no good, so it looks like another maternity shop...online of course!

Hi angeleyes- welcome to the second tri!

Guys, had a scan today and found out..... we're having two girls!!! Yeah!! My hubby was the only one who was right. All is measuring smack dab on. Both girls very active.

I've been reading on internet n books saying that sleeping on ur left side is advisable for good blood flow and etc. but oh dear, my back is killing me after a while. I cant sleep on my left or right side for long period of time coz i feel my arms are falling off. I feel more comfy to sleep on my back but i still get back and lower pelvic pain. I cant really find what position to sleep on. DH even bought me this long bean maternity pillow but i could only place it on either left or right side coz i cant drag it with me everytime i move coz its too long .hehe.Regardless,i'm sleeping with at least 4 pillows plus the big pillow but i cant get better position. If i sleep on my left side, i feel the left baby kicking n moving a lot, so i thought maybe i'm squashing the little ones n so then i have to move to another position. Either way, babies are kicking and the only remaining position is on my back but backpain never goes away. I tried drinking hot milk to help me to sleep but it doesnt work at all coz i go to loo often n it wakes me up. Sleeping on either sides with twins are heavier than singleton. Can anyone give me an advice base on ur experience?

I too am making the pillow nest. Try a night again with just your head pillow and tuck your blankie under your knee. I'm having a hard time getting comfy these days too, and sometimes when I wake up, I'm on my back anyways.

And getting off couches, etc, is just not happening... fun stuff. DH has plenty to giggle about, the bigger I get. No names yet for my girls but we're starting to toss options around.

I think I'll be having around 4 baby showers, each from girls from different areas of my life, so these little ones will be spoiled rotten!

Our little ones gonna be spoiled i reckon to their father. I wanna be a strict mum but we'll see. I might be all talk now. The day we found out their sexes, DH n i cant wait to get home and search names on internet.

Denise Goodluck on name hunting. I know we cant wait to hold them too...Precious little ones!

Still no names for my gals. We're tossing around flower names now, thought that would be nice. Any names picked out for your babes yet?

When do we officially make the move to the third tri? I'm sure we're all pretty close. Mind you, you guys have been pretty quiet lately.

Today I bought two cribs and started my gift registry.

Hi everyone,

yes it has been a bit quiet, but hopefully everyone is just busy getting on with things. Flower names sound like a lovely idea Denise - my sister-in-law is hoping for a girl one day to call Poppy - such a pretty name. Have you started sorting out your baby room then? 2 cribs sound great, it's so exciting looking around for things.

Must admit we haven't got much yet. My in-laws have very kindly got us a pram/pushchair and will be bringing that out in August when the baby is due. We've been promised the loan of many other things by friends, so we've only bought two newborn baby grows so far! I think our next priority will be a car seat and cot, but that's about it.

We live in a three bed but it's quite small, so the baby will have to share the study eventually, although I'm bugging DH about taking out some bookshelves and the computer... goodness knows where to!

Hope you are all v well. Are we at the 3rd tri yet? Think 27 weeks is end of the 2nd?????

we had a 4D scan of our 2 little girls this week and it was amazing! I strongly recommend people to go get a 4D scan done. It made me cry seeing their little faces and they are not even born yet!

We are going to call them Aleisha and Makayla

What about you guys? Any names surfacing yet for your little ones?

Hi All,
Just pulling this thread back up to the top (for all the second tri bumpers hanging out on the first tri friends thread!)

Bella had idea of starting off second scan date list, and best guesses at whether it be boys or girls. So exciting to find out! Wish DP was keen to find out too! How am I going to ogle over the little blue and pink booties in secret and figure out baby names without letting him know its if its a wee boy or girl! Anybody having 4d scans? They look pretty amazing!

Will restart list anyhoo....
