chromosome/karyotype????

hi all,
i have just had my second round of tests to see if i can donate eggs.(get results next week) the next test i need is chromosome/karyotype.
does anyone know what this means?????

hi

that's the basic chromose material that you have that you would pass on in your eggs, they look to see if you are a carrier for any known genetically transmitted diseases such as fragile X etc.
