Jessica, that is exciting news!! I think I would have fainted if the doctor told me that.

Time is going by so slow. My scan is Friday and that still feels like forever!! Is there anyone out there that still has no symptoms? I really hope everything is okay.

Take care,

Addison, I didn't have any symptons at all (not sick, no sore boobs, nothing at all) until exactly 6 weeks (to the day). And it hit me like a ton of bricks on that day and lasted for about 4 weeks. And I am pregnant with twins. So don't worry at all!!! Good luck on the scan!

Addision, I've been worried about no symptoms, too. I thought I would feel something different by now. The only thing remotely related to early pregnancy symptoms is that I am very tired...all the time. My boobs hurt a little, but no more than they do when I am about to receive a visit from AF. Everyone tells me that it will happen eventually, but I am also ready for some sort of confirmation that a little one is still hanging out in there somewhere! My first beta was only 47 and my second 163...wish I knew what was going on in there. I am so anxious for May 4, I can hardly sleep at night!

Jamato...OMG!!! That is fantastic news about your three little babies! I hope all goes well for you. What a blessing! Get ready for lots and lots of diapers!

Wow! This spring sure is the time for babies!! Congrats Rouge on a successful scan - I was wondering how things went.

I am exactly 6 wks today and my only prominent symptoms have been fatigue and sore breasts. The past 2 days I have been queasy in the mornings when I first wake up and at night right before bed time. I know lots of women who go thru their entire pregnancies with little or no symptoms so I wouldn't worry if you don't have any. I would consider yourselves lucky! My mom had 5 babies and never had morning sickness once. I am hoping it's an inherited trait - lol!

Have a great day :)

Sue, to answer your question, I get my 4th scan in 2 weeks...May 9. I believe we're doing that also in conjuction with going over the CVS results. I'm doing the CVS test (similar to amneocentesis, but much earlier) on Tuesday, May 2. I'm very nervous about that test.

So this week I'm done with neauseua and sickness, but now into a new phase. For the first time I'm bleeding. It's happened only twice, 2 days apart, like a gush of blood that lasts 2 minutes. I saw the doc after the first time it happened and he gave me many reasons why it's normal. I guess as long as it's not constant bleeding, cramping, or clotting we're not supposed to worry. Ha, that's impossible!

Anyone else experience bleeding? I read on the pregnant after treatment board several threads where women have bled between weeks 8-12.

Rouge, congrats on the scan!!! It's exciting, isn't it!!

Hi everyone,

I've been off-line for over a week and on bed-rest. Huge congratulations to all the great scans. MLG, I've been anxiously waiting to see your news and was so glad to see the heart beat results. YEAH!! Boy, you really had patience with the ambiguos start, and it paid off. Huge congrats to you!

Hey Kristi, I've had spotting for the past 2 weeks and have small (and shrinking thank God) hematoma. It's officially called a sub chorionic hematoma and apparently can cause some problems, but usually go away if small. The bleeding is so upsetting and I can't get used to it. I know Smita spotted her entire first trimester too and I am trying to relax. I'm on bed rest and sit around feeling a bit sorry for myself and have nausea about half the time. The perk is I get to see my little blinking baby once a week to keep my anxiety down. (apparently a study showed woman who were high risk and given weekly US did better than those that had rarer US. They figure it's due to decreased anxiety.) Last US showed a great hr of 160 and excellent growth. I've heard spotting is even more common with twins. I'm going to check out the "other side" and start posting on the 1st trimenster site. Stills feels to early, but in 4 weeks I'll be 2nd trimester. How can that be right?! I've read so many posts about woman who spotted and were absolutley fine. Are they scanning you and giving you any reason they can frind for the bleeding. Usually they can't. I'd recommend taking it really easy and let us know how the next scan goes.

Again congratulations to all the wonderful positive scans!!

MLG - great news on seeing the heartbeat, well done

Kristi - How are you? Had anymore bleeding? It is so hard not to worry though, but as you say it is very common with twin pregnancies.
Image Image Image Kristi, was this the smilie you were on about to celebrate moving onto the 2nd tri,

Daly - good news that the hematoma is shrinking and that you get to see your baby weekly, by the time s/he is born you will already have a photo albumn full of pictures!!!

I saw the midwife yesterday and she has told me to go to the hospital today to the Bleeding in Early Pregnancy clinic (even though i am not bleeding) so they can put my mind at rest. I was blubbing all over the place as im so stressed about it all and i thought the 2ww was bad, nothing compared to this!!!. So as you can guess i am quite worried and also hopeful, wondering when we feel like we can relax!!!!

Good luck all and CONGRATULATIONS on making it here

love

Hey All,

MLG - great news for the queen of fantastic jumpy icon things, yes go hard out and heap lots of themselves on you for a change ... you always do such a great job of cheering others on! Am especially pleased for you after the screw turner of a start.

Rouge and Jessica - congrats to you both on the first scan :) wonderful to see for the first time isnt it!!

Kristi and Daly- take it easy, theres nothing to take the worry away, but dont worry that you worry, just make sure you take it easy. Kristi just curious too, come you are opting for the CVS? Is it obligatory for higher risk twin pregnancys?? Here they only recommend if in a higher risk category or are over a certain age, so was wondering why.

And to all late april and early may testers ... good luck to you (not that you need it anymore!) with the scans ... theres too many to list which is great!

Well am at 12 weeks, so should probably move on over to another thread now. Had my nucal 12 wk scan yesterday and the results today. Everything looked wonderful, perfect little legs and arms waving, could even see the fingers and toes!!! And a perfect face profile! Good size (61 mm) and strong heart beat and low risk of downs, so couldnt ask for more. SOOOO amazing. Am sooooo happy.

Its been so great to be able to share this with all of you. You know I think it was a real journey for all of us to get to this space here, but its something very rare and wonderful we have to be able to share with each other how blessed and over the moon we are and share our obsessions together! How great that after all the support in hard times and disappointments that we get to really see the other extreme and share in each others good stuff and happiness too  Its just great to feel amazed about my own pregnancy, then get really smiley every time someone new joins and they are waiting for the first scan too. Actually feel lucky to be in this place You guys are choice

Ugh, get off the stage and finish the oscar speech! Alright am going. Apologies for the cheese dosage.

Take care
Mel

Mel-definitely not cheesy...you said exactly what I have been wanting to say regarding going through all the treatments and finally sharing happiness :D

I think it is so wonderful we have had good news and am praying it continues. I am now 2 weeks aways from 2.trimester....can't believe it. I have started posting on the pregnancy side but will continue to watch this space. The anticipation of the scans is nerve wracking - you will then want scans every week! I have had 3 scans and still get nervous...not sure this will ever go away. My next scan is on 11.May and the NT scan on 18.May..maybe I will then rest easy...I doubt it!
