Hello,<br>I have been recently refered to a fertility specialist at my local hospital after I had no joy with clomid for several months. I have had a laposcopy which came back clear. The specialist has suggested that I try the double dosage of clomid for several more months and then consider IUI. I was advised that there is no funding on the NHS for IUI and I would have to pay £1700 myself - has anyone else come across this?? I contacted my local BUPA clinic and they gave me a costing which was considerably less!!! Has anyone had success with IUI??<br>Jane

Hi Jane, <br><br>That sounds very expensive for IUI. I had IUI last year and it cost £300 plus drugs which were about £100. If you go onto the HFEA website you can access all the fertility clinics and then you can have a look at their prices (www.hfea.gov.uk). £1,700 is what I paid for IVF (without the drugs) - so maybe they got confusued.<br><br>Unfortunately I wasn't successful with IUI - but there have been women who have posted in the past who have been. <br><br>Good luck<br><br>Dolly

Hello<br>My friend had IUI at Bourne Hall and had a successful pregnancy she was also on Clomid and I know it only cost about £400 so I would check their figures! <br>Hope this helps and good luck<br>Aly
