Another recommendation for acupuncture

I am currently toward the end of my 2nd cycle of ivf (icsi). My et is 04/29. During my 1st ivf (icsi) I was taking one vial of menopur and 150 follistim for my stim meds and only produced 6 follicles, 4 were mature and only 1 fertilized. Did a day 3 transfer and got a BFN. This cycle I was taking one vial of menopur and 225 follistim for 4 days and then back down to 150 for the next 5 days. The ONLY thing different that I have done other than the slight change of stim meds is seeing an acupuncturist and at my ec they got 18 follicles, 14 were mature and 11 fertilized! I am now doing a day 5 transfer and as of this am ALL 11 embryos were doing excellent! My E2 level was really high last cycle too and this cycle was in the normal range!! Needless to say, I highly reccomend doing acupuncture during your ivf cycles!

What type of acupuncture? Can you give me more details?

My stim shots start on 15th of May, I will taking one vial of menopur and 450 Gonal-F, 2 times a day of MD (micro dose) of Lupron.

5 shots a day, sounds really scary, hopfully will see a lots of eggs.

Hey,your story is close to mine although not exactly the same. I had my first IVF cycle in Dec05/Jan 06.I was on 150 gonal F on D1 and then increased to 187.5 from the next day.I produced 22 eggs,17 were matured and 14 got fertilised.I had my ET with three grade 3 embroys.But Unfortunately,it didnt click.My doc says it might be due to male factor.I am going thro my second IVF cycle now.I was thinking about acupuncture for this cycle.[Just want to do what all I can on this earth to get the best results we want].I will seriously take your words and go for it.Thank you very much.I wish you all the very best for your success.May GOD be with you always !

Thanks everyone for your kind words! I am now waiting for the clinic to call to give me the time to be there tomorrow for my et!! Lbebe, my acupuncturist puts the needles on areas such as my feet, ankles, lower abdomen, upper ab, chest, collarbones, forehead, forearms and top? of my palms. She also puts these tacts on my lower back along my spine. I think she puts around 4-5 tacts there (Gateway of Life). Zita West's book (title?) gives you a diagram of why needles are put where on the body to help with conception! I just counted this morning and I have gone a total of 8 times within the last 6 weeks.
