Morning to you Octofriends....

I am in the middle of a sandstorm...was hoping to go for a walk but am afraid of being whisked away by the wind....

Jen: love your sense of humour...yep...thick endometrium
I think go for it.... who cares about appearing pushy. What's important is how YOU feel and YOU need it to move forward. And you wrote that you need to discuss round 2 before you can start thinking about round 3. Definitely go for it (it's not like we don't pay and therefore compensate for our pushiness!)
Concerning the Acid Folic question.... have been taking it for years it seems. When we decided to start TTC I went for a general checkup and the Dr then told me to start taking it. I stopped from time to time but can generally say that I have been regularly taking it (400mcg).
About your AF: did you have the exact same cycle as the first...same number of days downregging and stimming? I am not sure about that.... I guess every IVF cycle is different and therefore you react different...
I guess it's a question for your DR when you get to see her.

Glad you are feeling chirpy....

Lola: I hope you are not spending too much time at the office and relishing your mini-break from the unspeakable. How's it swinging?

Steph: where art thou? how art thou? My DH is flying over to you now.... I have given him a list of books to purchase. I trust he will be successful!

Walshy...hope you are remaining calm and serein and are not obsessing over web articles...hang in there... all is crossed for Friday

Sunny hugs to all,

Little R (patiently waiting for Saturday!)

Hi there,

Well got the call from the clinic it seems my eggs are a bit slow (i told them like my DH & Me) anyways 1 is a 4 cell and the other a 7 cell. They have me booked in for 9 tomorrow to get them put back in but if they have not turned to blastocyst by then then I will have to wait until Saturday. I am trying to think positively and have everything crossed that this will work and I can have the eggs put back in but it seems to be gettting a bit nerve racking now considering they arn't doing to well..I am trying not to obsess (this is me not obsessing). They expected them to be atleast 8 cell if not close to blastocyst. So i guess I have already started the 2ww hoping those little peanuts do their thing

How is everyone today?

Lola - Samson and Dehlila I was saying to DH what will we call our little jellybeans while we are on the tww he couldn't think of anything but I will see what i can come up with. Enjoy your dirty weekend....We will all want details etc....

Jen - How are you feeling i think i would definately be trying to push in you have spent the money and you want some answers now!!! Whats his number I'll call him i am in that sort of a mood......I am a women on a mission. Anyone else need me to call someone for them

Little R - Not long until you get the all clear to go on Saturday....Good luck You'll be doing the tww just after me and then we can both be up the duff together.....

Steph - Helloooooooooooooo

Well i will be missing in action for the weekend as I have friends coming to visit and won't be able to log on .If the eggs go back in tomorrow though I will let you know.

Wish me luck i am getting back on the tww rollercoaster cheers, Walshy

I have it scheduled... written in stone to happen just like that! ....
Feel excited and oh so crappin stressed already.... the travel craziness has not helped that though.. plus I am currently in the throws of a wicked period... So after a little sleep in session tommorrow, all shall be lovely again.... rollin with the homeys...

Quick rundown of you..

Fab news about your cycle, its all go for a BFP. I feel the roll of positives coming our way. Don't work too hard Bud

Lola - Enjoy

Little R - Is it thinning????????I can't take this wait any longer. Praying hard for you, keep smiling.

Walshy - Thats what you get when you live down under, so chilled. These embies are going to sprout overnight. Keep us posted, its so exciting.

Called the Doc today and am going to see her on Monday morning with DH. Want some answers and hopefully get a date for the Big 3.
Am going to visit friends who have the baby tomorrow. They invited us and don't want to let them down but feel a bit uneasy. Life's so unfair

OK just a quicky I can now hand the torch onto Steph (no pressure) to be the first to get the BFP for us Octochicks...............
The clinic just called and cancelled my cycle and the eggs going back in they havn't moved from yesturday still 4 cell and 7 cell
They have said there is no need to put them back in and make me go through the tww as they look as though they are not going to survive.
They may however put them back in tomorrow just to see.......
Well I am devestated to say the least
I am sitting her feeling deflated again and guilty that I can't give my DH (and myself for that matter) what he so desperately wants.
I will talk to you ladies later after the weekend as I have visitors so won't be able to post. Take care....

Girls, just had to write.

I know I've not been here for the last couple of months but have logged on during the last few days to see how you're all doing. We moved house in March and having got sorted I've now got the time to do this! I have to admit it was a strange feeling seeing the site and reading messages after my break and not a completely comfortable one - a reminder of my feelings not so long ago. I truly hope you achieve what you deserve. I had to say hello because I suddenly couldn't bear the thought of losing touch. Even though we're scattered around the world everyone seems so close and best friends.

Walshy - Praying for you and your little embies. If you have friends over, remember don't overdo it!

Jen - Have you got an appt booked with your doc for May? Also I believe your body can respond differently to cycles even with same drug dosages. Have you had any acupuncture or reflexology? I think you said you were going to try one of them.

Little R - Soon be stimming then? I'm excited for you. You can do it girl.

Lola - Having read through some of the last few pages I now can't remember when you plan to go again, sorry. Have an indulgent weekend away.

Steph - Wow, you've got yourself sorted. good luck for the start of your cycle.

I'm going to try and keep in touch! I have to see you all with your BFPs.

Love you all. Keep on going Octobies.

Oh the Octochicks...boy I am so glad that you are here.

Walshy.... gosh...I don't know what to say....you poor thing, can understand your devastation...and you have visitors to contend with..after everything was looking so good. How can they be 100% that they won't develop better inside of you? When you read this the decision will have been made.....VIRTUAL hugs to you

Jen, you sound like a wee smiley lass today. Excellent on nailing an appointment, good for you...hope you have your 20 questions ready to bombard the doctor and make her commit to BFP  Good luck with visiting friends and baby

Steph....my Octobuddy...yippee! Bring it on... fab news about your cycle...I bet you are rearing to go....BFP, here she comes... How come you have such detailed dates? My clinic is so evasive with the dates  even last time. Buddy, buddy, buddy.... all this is bringing back memories

Lola, love...dirty dirty weekend..... we want details... lovely to see that you are getting what you need.. TLC  Missing you!

Camilla.... super that you are checking in on us...hope all is well with you...

I feel really lonely today....I am really glad that DH is coming home tonight as I really need some company.
I have never felt this way before.... I don't know what's wrong with me...I guess I am upset about this downregging....it's been 3 weeks...this is Day 10 and I am still bleeding from time to time; it's a little upsetting and destabilising. I trust that tomorrow the scan will show that I am "thin" enough (never thought I would have said that before, Jen..have a laugh! ) to start my stimming.

Please think of me tomorrow....I so want to begin this round 2....

Loads of love...enjoy your respective weekends...I'll be online tomorrow after my scan to share :D

 Hi

Walshy - Oh, i'm so sad. Logged on to hear about you and was gutted to read about your embies. I'm glad they are still going back into their mummy, hang in there its not over. After reading about all the amazing things that happn on this site these embies might surprise us. I can't cross anything else for you or i will be so twisted and sore, everythings crossed that can be.

Little R - I'm always thinking of you lovely. You will be fine, trust me. Keep that smile there and think positive. You will be thin soon (so will i hopefully). I lost 4lbs this week

Steph - Hope your not working too hard?

Lola -

Camilla - Good to hear from you. Yes i did try acupuncture and it was fine but still got a bfp. Don't know how far back you have read but this cycle was totally different and i had some good signs but it was not to be. Am sure something implanted as i had some positive spotting and still have not had a proper AF , this didnt happen last time, but still no bfp---very strange. Going to see the Doc on Monday. How your ok?

Away to the baby house to see our friends :? At least i'll get to have a hold.

 Morning campers

Well i survived to tell the tale. As expected i got to our friends and ended up giving out the advice as she cant get her into a routine. Just wanted to pick her up and take her home as she is so gorgeous. They cant get her to take the bottle again after they wind her so i took over and fed her, hey presto----------bottle , wind and yep you guessed it, more bottle. Takes a prof to get it done
I am fine when i'm there but felt quite down when i got home but i held the tears back, they are not coming out to play. We will get our own baby and i wont let my stupid tubes stop me. So there.

Walshy - Am thinking of you today, let us know how you are, hugs your way.

Little R - How are you today? Any good news yet? I have been out walking with my ipod and am going to start my swimming again this week. Can't seem to get motivated to start my aerobics but fancy starting yoga, might give it a bash.
Don't know whats going on in Scotland, the sun has been shining now for over a week and i have even been out in my flip flops a few times. Thanks for sending the rays to me.

Lola and Steph - Thinking of you both lots.

Am away to view a couple of houses today with mother and dh then off for a walk in St Andrews on the beach. DH wants to get a tattoo of an angel on his upper arm. The angel is standing on clouds and he is going to add either 4 tears or 4 feathers to represent our embies we have lost. I'm not keen but how can i refuse that, its so sweet. Just hope it doesn't take us another 10 cycles for our bfp or he will end up with all the tears or feathers down to his feet  . Thats defo not going to happen, the Big 3 is the one.

Will catch up with you tonight for a chat around 6 if anyone is about.
Have a fun day.

 yyyyyyyyyiiiiiiiiiiipppppppppppeeeeeeeeee The R is off and running. Good luck with the stimming, its going to be fab. Roll on the 6th May, well done girl. How are you feeling, are you nervous, positive, cautious? Am her whenever you need a chat. A special stimming hug is flying over to you

Yip its an ipod nano and its the best thing for walking, don't know how i ever managed without it.

Made me laugh about the tattoo/needle thing. You'll fall off your chair now but i have one at the bottom of my back. You can only see it if i have low waisted trousers on. I have wanted one for years and plucked up the courage last year but am afraid i had to have a few, quite a few wines before the event. Would never have any more done and hate to see women with them over their bodies but mine is discreet and very nice. Don't worry girls, i'm a nice girl

Saw a show house today and loved it. The house won't be ready until the end of 2007 but we are tempted. Am going to hover over this one and have a good think about it.

Hope your weekend is sunny and full of fun.

Morning,

Little R - Yes, hurray! Now all you have to do is remain positive. You know that any feelings over the next few weeks are hormone influenced and no indication of the result! I'm a believer in positive thought so believe this can happen for you. :D

Jen - Like Little R said have you got your list of questions for the doc? Think of it as a positive next step regardless of timescales. You will know how much time you have to prepare for the next cycle and you can use that time to pysche yourself mentally and prepare your body physically. :D Is the house you saw a new build? Did you say won't be ready till end of 2007!? I think your DH's idea is sweet. It seems everyone needs a way to outwardly express their emotions. I think the men often get overlooked in all this process. You did well with your friends' baby. My sister in law would have loved a baby and I'm so aware of that whenever I see her.

Walshy - how are you? Thinking of you.

Lola - Having a good time I hope.

Steph - Hello.

Will check in soon.

Love to you all.
