Hi Elly,

I am taking mine as sick leave. I'm in Oz, so I don't know how it differs from the UK, but as far as I can see it if you are seeing a medical specialist and require time off, its sick leave.

It may pay to check the fine print on sick leave in your contract. If you are in a union, a quick anonymous phonecall could get you some answers, too.

Hope this helps.

Hi Elly

Have you thought about consulting your local Citizens Advice Bureau?

Best of luck with both your treatment and your horrible boss!

I am covered under sick pay and at our company we can have up to 6 months sick per year.....

Some companies see it as your choice so there fore it comes out of your time....eg; holidays.

Let us know what happens ok xx
