What do you girls think of the motility?
of the volume?
or my lining?

My Dr. thinks it all looks great -- but I am skeptical.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Dee

Welcome to the Site. Glad you've found us !

A count of at least 20 million per 1ml is considered to be normally fertile (the average is 60-80 million /ml).

Motility - 50% or more is the 'normal range'

Your lining - The endo needs to be about 10mm. There are ways of helping to build this up - drink lots of water, use a hot water bottle, avoid vigorous exercise, eat foods rich in vits B1 and B6. Also have good intakes of iron and co-enzyme Q10. Some girls have used acupuncture.

Dee - All this info is from Zita West's book "Fertility and Conception" - which many of us on here have read and recommend.

I take it you're currently on your 2ww ? When do you test ??

(Good luck !!)

Hi Sandra! thanks for the reply! :)

I did see the "normal" values on the back of the s/a sheet.

Normal for motility is 50% and DH was 48%
Normal for volume is 2-6ml and DH was 0.8ml

I also know that my clinic likes to see 8mm for lining and mine was 5.6mm on the first IUI.....

So I see they're LOW. But the Dr. says it's still normal and it's not a problem. This is where I am skeptical. Should I be worried?

I'll be testing next Sunday (10dpo) -- yes I"m a poas addict..... then I'll test again at 11dpo and 12dpo and 13dpo! :D

Hi Dee,
I don't know anything about numbers, but I wouldn't worry too much. You have to remember that the printed figure is an overall average. If you are above or below that it is fine as long as you are in the normal frame. I doubt anyone has the perfect statistics when it comes to this.
If your clinic is anything like mine, if there is aven a question of something not being right, they won't proceed. So if they've gone ahead, they must think you are okay.
Good luck.
